ARRIVAL

[I-Island Airport]

Looking out the window a scary looking young man reminisced about his life on the floating island. From the regrettable circumstances surrounding his arrival, to the long nights he spent alone and the heartbreaking farewell he'd just said.

" That's all in the past now. My future is in Tokyo, in U.A."

Mentioning U.A. he thought back to the day he was brought to the Island by that man. The world's greatest Hero, the Symbol of Peace, All Might. Doing so his golden eyes instinctively moved over towards his right wrist. Where a metallic bracelet was tightly wrapped around his wrist.

" After ten long and arduous years we'll finally meet again, All Might. "

Shortly after the planes engines were started and they were soon up in the air. Leaving the place he'd called home for the last ten years the young man couldn't help but feel melancholic.

" Goodbye.. "

______________

[Tokyo International Airport]

After exiting the plane, and collecting his luggage the young man headed towards the nearest exit. Possessing a tall and strong physique along with strong facial features. Such as a slightly pointy nose, thin lips, a strong chin and a slender pale face. Eyes seemingly sunk into their eye-sockets making his sclera appear black. Short spikey platinum blond hair messily standing upwards. Most of the other arriving passengers steered clear of the young man. This allowed him to quickly reach his destination and take his first step in Japan.

" Stop! Thief! Someone help me!"

An old woman cried out as a masked man fled through the outside of the airport. The young man looked around but no one did anything to stop the fleeing man. He also thought of ignoring the incident but the woman's cries made his chest tighten. So in a very swift motion he crouched down and place his right palm on the ground.

" Ah!"

In the next moment the escaping masked man lost his footing and fell face first to the ground. The surrounding spectators were left in awe and the old lady was able to retrieve her handbag. As for the young man he was nowhere to be found.

Several minutes later a car pulled up to an eight storied apartment complex. With the menacing young man getting out of that car before heading inside. The lobby was for the most part bare with only a single desk and elevator door. As for the stairs they seemed to be behind the desk but he didn't go have a look. Entering the elevator he pressed the number eight button and waited for the doors to close.

When the doors opened again he walked into the corridor and looked for his apartment. It didn't take him long to find the correct door which he unlocked before entering. The apartment was surprisingly well taken care of and had most of the essentials. It wasn't very big or fancy in the least but it was more than enough for him. Taking his luggage to one of the two empty rooms he began to unpack.

As he was finishing decorating his bedroom, he received a phone call. Taking out his cell phone he first looked at who it was. Seeing the familiar name of the screen his eyes squinted but still answered the call.

" Hello."

He plainly stated as he knew exactly who was on the other side of the call.

" Have you arrived safely, Akira?"

A man's voice calmly asked, yet a hint of annoyances was audible in his tone.

" Yes."

The young man who's name was revealed to be Akira, replied in a monotone voice.

" That's good, I'm just calling to check up on you and to remind you to sleep early as tomorrow is the Entrance Exam."

As the man spoke those words, Akira was certain that he did so mockingly.

" I'm aware. Is that all, Professor?"

Again Akira responded to the unnamed man in a low monotone voice.

" One last reminder, don't forget that if you fail to enroll into U.A. you'll have to return to the Island."

This time Akira did not answer, instead ending the call right away. Anger was visible on his face yet he held himself back and glanced over to his bracelet. The black metallic ring wasn't an accessory rather a failsafe for his power. One which he wholeheartedly distasted and hated for it ruled his life.

" I need some fresh air..."

After making sure he had his keys and wallet, Akira locked his apartment door and went over to the elevator. Getting off at the lobby he walked out to the streets and just continued walking.

A couple of hours later around sundown, Akira was leaving a clothing store with several shopping bags. After leaving his apartment, Akira went to withdraw money at the bank and then went shopping. He didn't plan on doing much of the latter but then recalled a dear friend.

"* Akira, why do you continue to wear that? You're no longer in 'There', so you don't have to wear that anymore. Come I'll take you to the Pavillion and buy you new clothes. And pay attention because you'll soon have to go shopping by yourself.*"

Carrying shopping bags packed full of clothes, made him think back to that day. A day filled with memorable moments and one he shared with his best friend. While he was fondly reminiscing about his past, terror filled screams snapped Akira awake.

" Aaaahhhh!!! Someone help me! Anyone please he-"

" Shut the fuck, bitch!"

The screams and shouts seemed to be coming from a alleyway close by. No one did anything this time either but unlike last time this was due to the noisy surroundings. Also contrary to the previous time, Akira didn't hesitate to rush into the unknown Alley.

In a span of minutes, Akira went into and walked out of the alley. Although when he came out he did so while carrying an unconscious blonde woman. For the most part Akira was exactly the same as when he rushed to the rescue. The only difference being a red smudge on his right cheek.

"* Where do I take her?*"

Not having any prior experience in saving people, Akira didn't know what to do with the blonde woman. Who was scantily dressed, with most of her "Womanly Assets" in plain view. After quickly scanning his surroundings he decided on a restaurant.

" There, I can eat dinner meanwhile she wakes up."

With that settled, Akira carried the unconscious woman into the nearby, McRonald's. Of course when the other patrons saw him do this they were terrified. As from their point of view he resembled a delinquent carrying around a victim. Akira noticed their glares but ignored them as he dropped the woman in a booth. Next he walked over to the counter and ordered two Big Ron Combos.

As Akira was waiting for their order, the woman he'd brought in was waking up. As far as she remembered she was in a dark alley, so the bright lights were a nice surprise. What she wasn't sure of, was how she got out of that dangerous situation. Specially when her quirk was useless as far as protecting herself went.

" You're awake. Here's food."

Akira got back to the booth and set down the tray filled with food. Sitting down he was startled by the woman's abrupt scream.

" You! It's you! You saved me?!"

" Yes."

Replied Akira in his signature monotone voice as he started eating. The woman was still in shock so she continued to ask him questions.

" What exactly happened back there? What did you do to that guy, the one who tried to **** me.."

As she was reaching the end of her question the woman's voice got real low. Akira meanwhile kept eating his food not bothering to answer her questions. Which led to the woman nervously introducing herself and unboxing her own burger.

" My name is Haruka Sawakami, thank you for saving me. What's your name, if you don't mind telling me."

Since she introduced herself, Akira momentarily stopped eating and did the same.

" Akira."

" What about your surname?"

" Don't have one."

" I see."

With that short exchange over, Akira went back to eating and ignoring Haruka. Until he finished, for that's when he was the one who asked her a question.

" That guy did you know him?"

" Huh? Oh, no today's the first time I'd seen him, why is something wrong?"

" No. He won't bother you anymore."

" Thanks for that. So how did you get him to run off? What I'm trying to say is what's your Quirk? It must be pretty strong to make a nasty criminal like that run away."

" I guess. Do you have one, a Quirk?"

" I do, but it's not really worth mentioning.."

" Okay."

" You're not much of a talker are you, Akira?"

" No. Sorry."

" Well I actually wanted you to ask me about my Quirk, which is Glow."

" Glow?"

" Yeah, it's kinda silly but I can make my body glow in several different colors."

" Oh, okay. I have to go now. Goodbye."

" Ah, you're leaving already? Wait, let me at least reimburse you for the food."

" It's okay, your company was enough. Goodbye Miss. Kawakami."

" Wait! Here this is where I work, if you ever need anything stop on by. Just ask for Rika."

Haruka frantically pulled out a card from her bag and handed it over to Akira. Who didn't even look at it instead curious for the change of name.

" Rika? "

" That's the name I use during work."

Although he wasn't entirely sure what she meant by that Akira nodded.

" Thanks, goodbye."

" Bye! And you can just stop by and say hi!"

Once Haruka could no longer see Akira she turned around and leaned back on her seat.

" Such a weird guy. I wonder when I'll see him again."
