School

Thirteen students suddenly saw themselves in a huge chamber with tall golden pillars holding up that mystical place. There were lots of men dressed in iron plates and some people dressed in long robes as they held some strange staff. What was very eye-catching was the man sitting on a large throne with some beautiful women by him.

The man on the throne then stood

up and said with a booming voice, "Welcome, Heroes to my Kingdom."

The students all stood there in confusion, as they all thought "What is the meaning of this?"

___________

Thirteen students were in class having their normal everyday lessons.

"Kasuki senpaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii," yelled a beautiful girl with light blue hair and bright blue eyes, she wore her lovely white top and blue school uniform skirt and was walking quickly to a handsome young man that sat beside the edge of the window of his class.

"What is it Mina?" he asked with a stern look. The boy stared at the fair beautiful girl with his bright red eyes which was quite unusual. And his nicely combed red hair. He also wore his white top for boys and blue trousers which was the uniform all the boys wore.

"Kasuki...," as she spoke tears ran down her face which made Kasuki flinch a little.

"What happened?" he looked at her more serious than ever. "One of those boys in glasses tried to touch me." She mumbled silently as she cried.

"Where's he?" he growled as his face darkened.

"He's currently at my locker," Mina said as her hands were trembling.

"How dare he get the audacity to make a move on my sister!!" Kasuki roared as he got up from his chair and walked to his sister's locker with Mina behind him.

"Let's go," he said as he grabbed her hand as they moved to the locker room.

__________

As they reached the locker area an ugly-looking boy with glasses stood there with a smirk on his face.

"Mina!" he called out to her after seeing her.

Mina then looked at him with a scared look as she trembled.

"Is this the guy who has been bothering you?" Kasuki asked with concern.

"Un," she answered as she nodded.

As that boy came walking to her Kasuki came in front of him with an angry look.

"How dare you scare my sister?!!" his voice boomed through the hallway as everyone was shaking.

He then grabbed the guy in glasses to have a better look at him. Once Kasuki got to see the boy's face, he then realised who he was holding, his best friend Cherub!!

Kasuki won't even expect him of all people to do this. Cherub may not be as handsome as Kasuki but he wasn't considered to be very ugly, and he's actually a nice person deep down. Kasuki was just a head taller than Cherub.

"This is none of your business Kasuki, it's between me and Misa," Cherub fumed as he looked at his tall friend and shaked Kasuki's hand off him.

"Well sorry to break your moment but you would have to talk to me first before you talk to her," Kasuki proposed with an angry look on his face.

"I'm sick and tired of such a life. And I'm sick and tired of your proud and arrogant behavior. You're handsome to the extent that most girls in our school have a secret crush on you and you barely date any girls," Cherub complained as he stumped his feet and the hatred could be seen in his black eyes.

People started to get her around the locker area, but they made sure not to get too close so that they don't cause the wrath of the school hunk Kasuki. As handsome as he is terrible at dealing with people.

Cherub continued, "You're talented in sport but never join any clubs, and you just skip most of the PE practice to go and sleep. And you're also smart, yet you don't learn and pass with good grades. I hate you for all of this. Also, don't pretend that you don't know all of this."

"So what?" Kasuki retorted, giving a dark glare.

Cherub looked at him with rage in his eyes.

"Do you think I'm the kind of person who would be your friend to make fun of you?" Kasuki asked as he looked at Cherub who hung his face low.

"Oh isn't that boy Cherub. He used to be a quiet kid."

"Yeah, and there were times I heard he was bullied, but Kasuki always protected him."

"I'm wondering how a guy like Cherub could have a friend like Kasuki."

"Lol, they were childhood friends that's why." Some students whispered amongst themselves as they saw the show unfolding before them.

"You know for so long so why do you act like this," Kasuki asked as he was quite confused about the twisted emotions surrounding Cherub. Kasuki had never tried to gain attention, he would only sleep, eat and watch TV just to go through life normally, however in the eyes of his best friend he was being arrogant.

Kasuki: "You know that I'm overprotective of Mina, so why are you harassing her?"

"I like Mina okay, why do you get everything you want but I don't get what I want," Cherub said with a mocking tone.

"Let's go Mina, I don't want to talk," Kasuki lied as he started to walk away with his face down.

Mina looked back at Cherub who stood there still glaring at her brother.

"Cherub, I'm sorry I can't accept your confession since I'm not ready to be in a relationship with someone."

"It's because I'm ugly isn't it," Cherub snickered as he looked at the beautiful Mina.

"To be sincere you're not," Mina mumbled as she looked straight up at Cherub with her clear blue eyes.

Mina: "You have been the nicest person to Kasuki so I would hold you in my heart as a good friend, even Denki one of the popular guys in school confessed but I rejected him."

"Right now Kasuki needs some space, so goodbye," Mina walked away as Cherub looked at the two siblings leave.

Lately, Kasuki suffered from boredom. He didn't partake in any of the school's recent matches and just slept all day. Probably because he was too lazy to do anything.

As Kasuki laid on his table and closed his eyes, an image of a woman drinking on the couch as she watched TV appeared in his head. Kasuki opened his eyes as he spoke silently, "I wonder if there's a way to help mum."

"Kasuki senpai, a young guy came over to Kasuki and shaked him furiously. Kasuki you seriously have to be the partner for the Scientific Inventions contest," the dark skinned boy with short black hair and black eyes complained to Kasuki with pleading eyes.

Kasuki looked at the boy blankly as he could see the rays of sparkles hitting his face. Kasuki then turned his head and slept on the table again.

"I don't wanna," Kasuki said dully as he tried to go on full sleeping mode.

"Kasukiiii!!!" the boy cried as he looked at Kasuki who immediately ignored him.

"Stop worrying me Zekiel," Kasuki moaned as he tucked his head into his hands that were on the table.

"Is it related to Cherub?" Zekiel asked with a straight face as he looked at Kasuki.

Kasuki nodded mutely. He still was a little miffed from their earlier argument.

Ever since Zekiel had been together with Kasuki, he was able to read the subtle signs of body language and expressions on his friend's face or attitude. Though Kasuki wasn't as expressive as most, body language never lied.

"I don't understand why Cherub is angry at me," Kasuki pouted with his head still away from Zekiel.

Zekiel chuckled a bit, catching Kasuki by surprise. He turned to watch as the lad tries to hold in his laughter, which made Kasuki frowned a bit. Was Zekiel laughing at him? He was being serious! However, when Zekiel looked at him, there was a tenderness in his eyes that said that he wasn't laughing at her, but rather at how things came to be like this.

"Do you know that Cherub has always been a trouble maker?"

"Zekiel I wouldn't tolerate any lies against my best friend," Kasuki said angrily as he frowned at Zekiel.

"I remember when we were all kids, Cherub would be the one to protect us, and you'll be the cry baby," Zekiel remembered as a soothing smile appeared on his face, "But now… there have been rumours circulating around to him that he has been bullying other students and harassing the female students."

Kusuki gritted his teeth and tightened his fist.

"I actually didn't believe in these rumours myself, until I witnessed him hitting on my girlfriend, but got a straight up rejection," Zekiel said with a serious face and he crossed his arms.

"You said what? He tried to get your girlfriend?" Kasuki asked to be sure he was not hearing things. That's what Cherub was trying to do to his sister Mina.

"Yess, do you think I would lie about anything related to Angela?" Zekiel gritted his teeth as he remembered when Angela came crying to him.

"That confession he made to Mina was probably fake," Zekiel snorted as he looked at Kasuki.

"I don't know why, but he hates us now."

"Let's just go for lunch, I'm hungry," Kasuki tried to dodge the topic but every single word Zekiel spoke was lingering in his head. That was not the Cherub he once knew and he refuses to believe that.

_____________

As Kasuki, Zekiel and Mina were together who knew they would encounter Cherub again when they were in the cafeteria mess hall, but this time he was sitting with a group of troublesome boys as they were laughing together.

Stay cool, Kasuki, Cherub is just having a bad day.

Kusuki walked beside their group without even batting an eyelid at them. He pretended to be unconcerned about Cherub's new friends, thinking Cherub would stop once he realizes it's useless to anger him. If he acknowledged Cherub's current behavior, then Cherub might not stop trying to provoke him.

Cherub gritted his teeth as he realised that Kasuki was not paying any attention to him.

Before Cherub could utter another word, the cafeteria was enveloped in a bright light as all the students could see was a clear white light as they disappeared.
