Three Mothers

"One slice from your oversized blade and the fabric is going to give way…" noted Layla as she rubbed her fingers on the dress.

"That's why I've said before, I can turn it into a full-functioning armor suit while still keeping this dress' appearance," said Teemo, as he searched in the drawer beside the wardrobe.

"Oh yeah! Back to the message from the Brine King, he mentioned some alliance… What's that?" asked Layla as she tried to put on the dress, much to the Loplin's horror.

"Turn away if it embarrasses you that much. But you should've known that I'm not fully taking off everything," whispered the cheeky Dragoon as she tried the outfit on.

"The alliance he spoke of should be about the Shadow Trio. The creatures that the Akhalorians defeat to get unique and powerful Skillsets are all dormant or sealed so they won't waste the kingdoms we've built."

"Due to that, the creatures who have similar goals or are related have teamed up with each other to fight against intruders trying to slay them. Thus, the Shadow Trio was born and it consists of three creatures with 'Mother' in their titles."

"Mother Of Webs; Arakaali. Mother of Nightmares; Kuala. And finally, the Mother Of Decay; Ulscia. These three monsters all appear humanoid like us but when pushed to their limit, they will transform back to their original forms."

"I had the dishonor of battling the first one and floppy ears over there can tell you a story about him fighting for his life against a decaying being," explained Teemo, eyes never leaving the drawer.

"Hey! Don't say as if I ran off like a coward!" retorted Matt, shaking his fist angrily at the Felidae.

"I didn't say that, I'm just trying to let Layla grasp the power level of those Mothers. I didn't win my fight either; I barely got out alive and that was because the Royal Guard intervened from the cave's other entrance."

"And worst of all, I was there to gather other things, not fight against a giant spider lady!"

"I didn't choose to fight the Mother of Decay on a fine sunny day either! Anyways, from what I recall, Ulsica had the top of a middle-aged female human while the lower part of a decaying shipwreck."

"Lucky for me, I didn't stay for long to see her in full form," said the Loplin as Layla adjusted her dress.

"When it comes to decay, I remember my mother telling stories of creatures that gave and used the Necrosis Element. The most powerful one she'd seen was someone called Nergal," replied Layla, giving a twirl.

"Nergal isn't so much to use decay for its power as compared to Ulsica since it belongs to another branch but it is quite close. I heard that his wife is more terrifying but I'm not going to be the one to see…"

"Also, we might try and source these three Mothers out before they can rise again," said Teemo as he finally found what he was looking for.

The leggings were colored black but had black leather straps stuck onto the lower half of it. The Felidae turned around, hoping to show off how he'd procure the straps as the material was one of the hardest things to get.

However, what he saw in front of him made his heart much happier.

"You look so adorable…" said Teemo as he went towards Layla in half a Tick.

"Do I? It feels very comfy now that I've put it on. I could even sleep in this. Though I wished the sleeves were slightly longer and the ruffles on them could be toned down. Other than that, it's wonderful for me!" cheered the Dragoon with happy eyes.

"It would fit even better with these leggings, I know Dragoons get cold easily and the Campania has a tendency to dip below normal temperatures. As for the sleeve problem, I could adjust it," mentioned the Felidae as he gave the leggings to Layla.

"Why not use the webs from Arakaali to make elbow-long gauntlets for her? I hear that the silk material has some good combat properties…" suggested the Loplin, adjusting his seat.

"Oh? When did you get that information, little bunny?" asked Layla, raising her eyebrows.

"I'm not little so I know a few things more than the average personnel from the Royal Guard. Anyways, the silk should have both physical and Elemental perks to it."

"I know that if treated and woven carefully, the clothing made from it can endure the slice of a highly sharpened blade and openly deal with fluctuating temperatures. It can withstand flames and frost without affecting the user's skin."

"It helps with Enhancements though I'm not too sure how that would be applied," explained Matt, as he glanced at Layla with annoyance for the first sentence.
