The Big Six, Conflicted Heart

"The creatures that we've fought throughout our lives are summoned from afar, that isn't wrong. What she got messed up was the Primordial Gods; they were here before we came along."

"If anything, we are the ones who came later and are a threat to them," elaborated Teemo, as he poured Matt a cup of tea.

"According to what Layla has told me, Tiamat was the Primordial Goddess for the Kingdom of Dragoons. However, she then turned on the people, causing chaos and destruction. So much so that the Dragoons had no choice but to subdue Tiamat into the ocean."

"And do you actually believe that? You and I both know that can't be true, right? How could a Primordial Being destroy its own homeland and creations on a whim?: They can't get drunk, you know..."

"But they can go insane or controlled by another stronger force, right?"

"Then they aren't called Gods anymore. What the poor girl is being fed are lies twisted by her government. Fairy tales and stories to convince the townsfolk that subduing or killing the Primordial Gods are justified and without consequence."

"Primordial Gods governed this realm, our Six Kingdoms aren't the only ones alive here. We've got more on the other side, battling other wars and resolving conflicts. But ours were ruled by the Six Primordial Gods before humans came along."

"Tiamat, the Salt Sea Goddess controlled Valokia. Erebus, God of Darkness controls the Campania. Logi, the High Flame God that rules over the Agastia. Tudigong, God of the Land that governed Titania. Ausrine, the Morning Star Goddess, in charge of the Lusmium."

"Lastly, Fujin, the Heavenly Wind God that owns Halcade. These are the Six Primordial Gods that have paved the way for the Kingdoms to rise. We are indeed their offspring as a result of mixing amongst the humans that walked this place over years ago."

"So that means, what we're doing now is wrong? Should we abandon our plans to kill Tiamat and allow her to take back what was hers?"

"Nothing is right or wrong at this point. After all, what we see as justice in the world is nothing but some person with charisma making up rules. Could you call someone who killed their wife's murderer a killer?"

"We are fighting her because she poses a threat to us. She has sent Familiars racing across the lands and killing them to gain enough power to rise from the seas. We're fighting her to protect what we have now. That earns a gold star in my book. I don't see that as wrong."

Teemo sighed as he watched the Loplin swirling his tea while his expression was conflicted. Sure, Teemo is a bit sociopathic so he wouldn't care much about others' feelings or thoughts but his own. However, Matt was different.

Was he doing the right thing? Or he was selfish for thinking so?

Mattheos Rosenberg didn't have a lot to look forward to after he was forced into the Royal Guard since he didn't have parents. It was only after meeting Teemo and losing a close friend that finally shook him out of the dream world and into reality.

That the world he was in wasn't linear but rather a wonderful ball of twists and turns. Where colors had different meanings and not everyone had the same taste buds as he does.

"I know it takes time for you to accept that since the Royal Guard messed you up with their teachings but no one is rushing you. And rest assured, once you stop thinking about others, you will start to think about yourself and how to better your life."

"No one's going to take care of you but yourself so stand on your two legs and be confident with your judgment. Don't let your heart waver just because some almighty god or king said so. Would you listen to them if they said that your nose was on your tail?"

"I'm not that dumb but I get what you mean... Thanks."

The Felidae patted the Loplin on the shoulder to comfort him before proceeding with the night's tasks.

"Now then, anything else you wanted to ask? The night is still young, maybe we could hit a bar..."

"No, I am not getting drunk with you again after that incident. And yes, there's something else on my mind. You said that the Ankou is an individual with reason and sanity… Isn't the Brine King recorded to be the same?"

"Not the one that Layla defeated. Remember earlier when I said these creatures are summoned, not created here? Depending on where the summoner has pulled them from, there can be multiple versions of the same creature."

"A Brine King from one Universe might not have the same attributes or power as one from another Universe."
