Layla Vs Teemo

Instead of flying back, Layla used all of her might to stand her ground, with her feet already reverting to talons to hold her body in place.

"I knew you even before that bunny... You are a force to be reckoned with, I'll give you that," said the Dragoon.

"However, don't think for even one Tock that I will retreat from this fight!" yelled the Dragoon, with sheer anger.

Matt snapped out of his trance and leaped backward, dividing himself and his opponent. There, he drew out his gun and got ready to fire. The sawed-off shotgun he held felt heavy by his side but he shook it off.

Ever since Layla took out her weapon, something felt off... Why Teemo would aim for this Dragoon when he had slain so much of their populous before? And why would the Felidae have Layla go against him by telling her who he truly was?

Matt knew that Teemo was untrustworthy but this sounds so far-fetched, even for his usual antics. Could it be that Teemo wants to kill this Dragoon or enslave her? No... Come on, they'd just met!

Meanwhile, Layla let out a growl as she felt herself being physically overpowered by the strength of the Felidae. She squeezed her eyes shut and slowly breathed in. Everything seemed to slow for the Dragoon as she halted her heart and held her breath.

"No matter where you are, so long you are on this planet, this world is brimming with life… Water is everywhere and you are the master of it."

The voice that spoke that sentence echoed throughout Layla's brain, allowing her that split Tick of calculation for her next move. The Dragoon's eyes flew open, with her eye rings burning bright and her scythe glowing even brighter.

A huge shockwave emitted from the scythe that sent Teemo flying through the air. Layla looked shocked that she could pull off a stunt but now wasn't the time for celebration as the Felidae was back on his feet.

Matt then fired off some shots while trying to within Teemo's reach. His strategy forced the cat to retreat. The Loplin reloaded more shots and rushed around the place, hopping around as he fired off more shots.

"Now this is interesting… Why would a Dragoon be defending a mere bunny? Don't you wanna know the truth?" questioned Teemo as he effortlessly deflected the bullets.

"I care not for the truth. It doesn't matter if he is a bandit or the Royal Guard. Because to tell you the truth…"

Layla halted her sentence as she bolted towards Teemo with lightning speed and jumped up, using the flying bullets as stepping stones to tower over him.

Matt looked puzzled and impressed at how quickly the inexperienced Dragoon managed to use the area and items to her advantage. And never in his life did the bunny man ever think to see his bullets be made as stairs.

Poor thing didn't know if he should be happy his shots have double use or he should be sad that Layla turned his proud bullets into furniture.

"I hate the Royal Guard!" yelled Layla as she slammed her scythe down onto Teemo's head.

The cat leaped out of harm's way, letting the Dragoon go all the way down to stab the ground, forming a huge crater. As everything was happening, Matt tried his best to aim at Teemo and avoid Layla.

However, the area shook, causing the bunny to stumble and misfire at the Dragoon. But she was quick and knew that the gun had gone off so a bullet was flying through the air.

With another flash of blue light, Layla contorted her body to kick the bullet, making it change its direction and head toward Teemo. The cat destroyed it swiftly by swinging his oversized sword while he was unmoving from his position.

What?! How could his bullets be kicked so easily?! Matt shook his head and continued to fire at the Felidae while Layla lunged towards Teemo. The Cat and Dragon clashed once more, creating another shockwave.

This time, the clash didn't stay as Layla drew out more Elemental Energy and tried pushing Teemo back. By twisting her ankle and stomping it into the ground, the Dragoon leaned forward and channeled her power into the scythe.

Teemo was caught off guard as Layla created a large pushback force, resulting in him flying back and slamming against the wall.

"Oh, hoh… Cutie packs a punch, huh? Well then, let me answer in kind!" screeched Teemo as he quickly recovered from his predicament and vanished from his spot.

"Layla!"

Before the Dragoon could react, Teemo appeared before her, slightly bent and ready to slash at her throat from a lower angle. Faced with the reverse of the situation from a few days ago, Layla started to smile.
