Agreeing For Armor

"The Dragoons have some strong limitation spells on their people so with you leaving the kingdom, your limits are off. The lid is gone from the already bubbling soup, overflowing once there is nothing to stop it. The same goes for you."

"I could see you from a street away using your Elemental Energy levels to track you, even if you got Matt's Elemental Energy hiding cloak that I made. So if that piece of clothing can't hide your overflowing Elemental Energy, I have to find something better for you."

Layla's ears perked up as her eye rings flashed up again. Her mood was already up as she dipped a tail into the soup and now she was over the moon. Especially since Teemo has been smiling at her with his adorable and handsome face since they entered the kitchen.

Compared to the Loplin, the Felidae was so much more… Charming and cool. Her heart skipped beats more and she found herself loving the praise from the cat.

"So that means you are going to make me an armor set?" asked the Dragoon, wagging her tail.

"Yes? Did I ever say no to that?" asked Teemo, genuinely questioning if he had misspoken.

"Well, you did say that you weren't going to make her one if she didn't pass the test. And with that final move nearly killing her, I would expect you to throw us out once I finished this soup. It's great by the way…" said the Loplin.

"It's very yummy! I don't usually take vegetables since we are carnivorous but this soup does go great with my tails! Maybe I can lose weight if I drink enough," praised Layla as she dunked more tails into the soup, much to the Loplin's distaste.

"I won't throw a cutie out just because I misjudged my power against her. I might cook you if it had been you losing against me. But that's beside the point. Forging an armor ain't easy nor would it take overnight."

"I will have to conjure up a great outfit and proper materials and Crystals to make it suitable for your taste and fighting style. I wasn't being creepy or weird when I said that you are much better off with a dress-like armor."

"If I were to fit you with bulky armor like mine, you would fall over. You are quite flexible with contortions that make the local circus hang their head in shame."

"And there's the problem with your overflowing power… I might need to get ingredients for that too."

Teemo slurped up his soup and glanced at Matt who was happily drinking the soup.

"Long ears? Mind helping me with that? I swear I'm asking nicely…"

"Helping you to get ingredients? What do you need?"

"Water Elemental Ores. Your Fire Element would be useful to scout them out since I need quite a lot. And I have to stock up on Energy Storage Stones," explained Teemo.

"Why would you need my Fire Element for that? You can find some on the surface without much help…"

"I'm planning to go deeper into the cave to get higher-grade ones to fit the occasion. Besides, maybe I could pick out some Fire Ores to make another gun for you as well. Besides, you are my lantern in that dark place."

"Ah yes, the Dark Knight is terrified of the dark cave. And since when am I a lantern?! So much for asking me nicely…" grumbled Matt as he crossed his arms over his chest in a pout.

Layla tilted her head to the side and stood up to soothe him by stroking his shoulder. The rabbit sighed and calmed down.

"Thanks for the offer but I don't need another gun... I might need another set of normally woven clothes since the volcano turned all of my clothes into ash."

"Ah, so the rumor was true! Did you at least get Magma Cubes?" asked Teemo, suddenly brimming with excitement.

"Yep, I've sent them to your friend just as you requested. I'm waiting on your payment," said the Loplin as he impatiently tapped his foot.

"Tch... I'll make the girl's armor for free with the highest quality I can muster while also sheltering you for the week as your payment."

"How about me? Where can I stay?" asked Layla in a small voice.

"Cutie stays for free."

"Yay! Also, Teemo's right about the ores earlier. Surface-level ores won't cut, not even against a bite from Tiamat's pests so I wouldn't want to make my first armor set with something from such low-level ores."

"Not to mention trying to smelt them would be annoyingly longer than if Teemo got better grade ones. At least get the ones from the same level as the Lacrimas. As for the Energy Stones, how about the ones in the cave we battled earlier?"
