3 Short story 2: Fated disaster prt2

As soon as I saw the news fear overwhelmed me, I then grabbed my gray and black jacket hanging next to my mirror and rushed outside in hopes that it was all a lie but, of course I already knew that what I had heard wasn't, because as soon as I stepped outside, I saw what the news had foretold the ground was cracked, streets flooded with water and chaos, cars flipped over, blazing houses, so hot not even the rain could put it out, just like on the news, it really is as I said it's chaos "Why? Why is this happening? I don't understand, is this some kind of sick joke?" I said engulfed in panic as my heart rate was increasing, then my parents and siblings came into mind, "I need to calm down, the first thing I need to do is go over and make sure they're ok that is all that matters right now," I say as I rush off to my parents' house and hoping they are ok.

"Seeing as my parents live close to me, I should be able to get there in 30 mins tops, since my phone is broken i can't call them or text them, and even if I could there is probably no service, since the entire world is in chaos," I say to myself, and yes when I say entire world i mean the entire world that is what it said on the news, anyway as I was reaching my destination i had dodge and weave my way around cars, robbers, and quite literally scaredy cats. Although people were scared for their lives and asked for help i never stopped running and as questions ran through my mind i started to tear up and emotions welled up inside me, the water got deeper, the cracks got bigger, and the rain got heavier. As I felt myself running through the water and everything around me my mind went dark and a voice much like my own came into mind, "isn't this what you want to see? Don't you want this world to struggle for everything it has done to you? Dont you want chaos?" says the voice.

"Who are you? What do you want?" I ask feeling as if I know but want to deny it.
