Chapter 38

In the dim surroundings where only the light of the moonlight could be reflected Eleri walked aimlessly while holding the hilt of her sword

Narrowing her eyes she had an ominous feeling in her heart and thought 'I'm certain I've been walking for a long time and yet the moon hasn't changed and there is not a single living thing on my path other than those monsters'

Suddenly a bad premonition rose in her heart as she thought 'It couldn't be- there is no telling wether a day had already passed or not?'

While still engrossed in her thoughts she suddenly heard the sound of rustling and thought that it was another monster and so held the hilt of her sword tightly

Keeping her eyes keen she vaguely saw a dark silhouette walking towards her

She was about to attack when suddenly she noticed that the form of the silhouette seemed to change

At first it looked big with three heads which resembled a cerberus but in the next moment it turned into a human shape like but now it seems to be getting smaller and smaller

Eleri didn't even noticed that the figure had already gotten close to her until she saw clearly what it was

'A…child?'

A child who was small and looked like a three year old appeared before her sight revealing it's golden blonde hair and ocean like blue round eyes

The child was walking on it's barefoot and seemed to be lost which made it look pure harmless and innocent

That is if so then why does Eleri keep getting the danger warning in her head that this child, is much more dangerous than she could think of

Eleri did not let her guard down and even became more vigilant as she gnashed her teeth and thought 'Is it a seven deadly sin member?'

Although she thinks so she still couldn't get the signal that it is

Then if not, is it a player? But why would a child be a player?

Countless of questions poured in her mind but in the end she sighed and chose to let go of the hilt of her sword and asked in her head 'Draven, is this kid a player or a member of the seven deadly sin?'

Draven: [Unfortunately I cannot answer that question, it seems the higher authorities are keeping this child's information as highly confidential]

Eleri's eyebrow twitched as she thought 'Useless'

Just as she was about to step forward Draven interrupted and said [But I did find out something about this child]

Eleri paused and said in her mind 'Speak'

At a certain area Light and Azrail searched around Light finally couldn't hold it back in and blurted out "Can't you just user your ability to search for L?"

Azrail paused on his steps and said angrily "Then why don't you use 'your' ability to find L?"

Light pouted and complained "Do you know how hard it is for me to put the shadows in yours? It'll be a waste if I use it then"

Azrail snorted coldly and said "It is exactly the same for my situation, why would I use necromancy for such trivial things?"

Just as they were arguing they suddenly heard the sound of laughter and froze

{Hehehehe, you guys wanna play?}

{Hah, I'm tired, let's get over with this quickly}

{Don't worry little brother I'll get rid of them quickly, just after I play with them!}

Light and Azrail looked at each other and thought simultaneously 'It's them'

'The two members of the seven deadly sin'

While walking Eru suddenly stopped and Kayluss was confused as he asked "What's wrong?" but just as he was saying his heart suddenly ached and he coughed out a mouthful of blood

Eru was stunned for a moment as he said "This is…"

Kayluss has his eyes wide as he smiled weakly and said "Their strings-…."

'What…?' Eleri was flabbergasted by this information and stared at the child with wide eyes examining him slowly'

Frowning Eleri was just about to speak to the child when she suddenly heard Draven speak and her heart skipped a beat

Eleri's eyes shook greatly and without her saying anything the child suddenly spoke and asked "Why are you crying?"

Alas Eleri couldn't hear what the child said and only felt her head spinning as she fell to her knees, crying

Draven: [I apologize for what I'm about to say and I also express my condolence but, player Light Achlys and Azrail Crimson----]
