Dragonball- Humanities Peak

Kaz, your average 15-year-old, socially inept weeb, suddenly wakes up in the middle of a forest in the body of a ten-year-old with a magic Gi and healing powers. However, unlike normal teenagers, this was actually the first time he had left his house, and he strongly "disliked" his parents, so he got over it pretty fast. He spent a year living somewhat peacefully (most of the time) and training using exercise regimens he remembered from the internet. He quickly notices that he was able to train at inhuman speeds with seemingly no limit. The speed can be chalked up to his healing powers repairing his muscles the second they tear during training, but the no-limit thing confused him. And when he finally decides to venture out of the forest (kind of), he finally figured it out. Right in front of him, towering thousands of kilometers into the sky and reaching well above the clouds, was Korin's Tower. ------------------------------------------------------------------- There will be no romance involving the mc, as he couldn't care less about that. However I will be writing a lot of romance between the side character (at least Ill try to). Also, the mc is one of those types that doesn't like to kill his enemy, I know that a lot of people don't like that, but there is a good reason for it. They are in the world of Dragonball after all, and death basically has no real consequences, so he thinks that its better to either make them his friend, or seal them away, because killing them will just make them mad and more of a threat when they inevitably return (Frieza). Please leave criticism, just make it constructive, and don't be an Asshole about it. Thanks for reading. Cover art by LordValmar

Chapter 5

Six months have passed since Kaz discovered Ki. During this time Kaz had upped his training by many times, partially because he knew he could take it, and partially out of fear of the power the people in the Dragonball universe wield. For his physical training, Kaz had been doing every workout he could remember at high speed and high reps for the first few months, but eventually, those types of exercises stopped having any effect.

He then switched to weighted workouts, however by now only massive boulders presented a challenge for him, and those were rather inconvenient to curl, so he thought that this might be the end of his body's training until he found civilization. But then he remembered that he was in an anime world now, and he didn't need to restrict himself to normal training.

After thinking about it for a while Kaz finally thought of the perfect training method for his current level. Hunter x Hunter had one character that was well above the level of a strong Dragonball character before Raditz showed up, probably reaching about 300 to 500. That character is Isaac Netero, and Kaz decided that his training would be the most efficient training for him at this moment.

( I don't know if this is a correct estimate or not of Neteros Dragonball power level, however, I'm sure that he is at least that number only because of his speed. The man can punch over a thousand times in a minute. That not be much compared to the speed shown in DBZ, however, it is still extremely powerful when compared to pre-DBZ Goku.)

So for the past four months, Kaz had been doing ten thousand punches a day (he did the praying motion as well). At first, it took him eight hours to finish, however now it took him only an hour and ten minutes, close to what Netero could do in his prime, but not quite there yet.

"Ha, another two months, and I should be able to surpass Netero in his prime! My healing Ki is so powerful!" Kaz said to himself as he finished up his physical training.

He had figured out that his healing power was actually just the innate trait of his Ki. He had been training his Ki every day as much as he could, and even forcing himself to meditate for longer every day, however, he still progressed at an agonizingly slow speed. Even with his slow learning speed, he was still able to learn how to summon that grey aura that the fighters always have around them. He found that this grey aura is what healed him, and he had been summoning it while unconscious up until now because he didn't know how to summon it normally.

"Alright, now let's try using Ki again!" Kaz said to himself in excitement. Even though it had been six months since he learned of his Ki, he still got excited every time he thought about having Ki.

Kaz got into a horse stance, put his hands to his side, flexed every muscle in his body that he knew how to flex, and powered up. "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" His yell echoed through the forest as a grey aura erupted around him, causing the ground to shake slightly and small rocks to float around him.

After powering up as much as he could, he closed his eyes and focused on his senses, which were now also enhanced. Kaz couldn't remember any method of training Ki from the show other than flight, and he didn't want to embarrass himself by attempting that again so he had to think of something else. So he drew more inspiration from Hunter x Hunter and started using his Ki at max power for as long as possible. His goal was to achieve something like SSJ grade 4 where Goku was able to use Super Saiyan constantly without any exhaustion or stamina loss. Using Ki was like flexing a muscle, and maintaining one hundred percent of his power was extremely exhausting.

As of now, he could only maintain this state for an hour, but he wasn't discouraged as he predicted that this would take a long time. Have you ever tried to flex a muscle and hold it like that constantly? It gets difficult fast. And on top of that, whenever he used one hundred percent of his Ki, it removed his body's limiter, which meant that he was twice as strong, but it also meant that he would easily injure himself if he wasn't careful.

For right now, his highest priority was learning how to detect Ki, however, he didn't know where to start so he had instead just been powering up and trying to focus on his senses, but even after six months he still couldn't feel anything. He needed to learn this skill not only to be able to detect surprise attacks and enemies' strength but also because he still couldn't find any signs of civilization and needed it to detect them.

"Damn it! Still nothing, and I still can't find anybody. If I can't find someone to teach me, am I really going to get stuck with such a weakness? My only option to finding civilization is either flying or sensing Ki, I still can't sense Ki, and I don't even want to think about flying again. " Kaz started talking to himself again as he sat down on the ground and looked up at the stars.

"I might not even be on earth. The Dragonball multiverse is massive, I could be on any of the random planets in the seventh universe. I might even be in another universe. For all I know, I might not even be in the Dragonball multiverse, I might just be on a desolate planet with Dragonball powers! Stop it, Kaz, you'll scare yourself if you overthink it this much. " He then turned and looked at his house, finally making up his mind about something he had been thinking about for a while.

"*sigh* I guess it's time to leave. You have served me well cave house, but it is time for us to part ways." Kaz saluted his house and said goodbye to it, a little sad to see that all of his hard work put into it would be left behind. It hadn't changed much in the last ten months, the only difference being that he had filled up the small holes in the walls.

Kaz grabbed his things, filled his backpack with water, and set off with a heavy heart. If he wanted to find civilization he would have to go look for it instead of waiting around hoping to somehow learn a technique just by seeing people using it on his TV. He wasn't a Saiyan and didn't have the talent of one, so the only way he could hope to learn those techniques is by learning directly from a teacher. So now he had no choice but to leave.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'I really hope I'm on earth, then I can learn from a bunch of people. If I am on Earth, who should I learn from first? With my current strength, I think I can pass Korin's test. I might even be able to get some ultra divine water, even if it'll hurt like hell, I'm willing to endure pain like that to get stronger. After that I can learn from Kami and Popo, that will let me learn to fly and master my Ki, and I might even gain access to the room of spirit and time.' A huge grin spread across Kaz's face as he started fantasizing about his future.

"Okay Kaz, calm down, don't get your hopes up. You still have to find out whether or not you are on Earth, then you can think about these things." He sighed as he walked up to the lake, looking at his reflection.

What he saw looking back at him was a brown haired, younger Tarble wearing a sleeveless black Gi. When he had first seen his new appearance it took him a while to recognize it as he had only watched the specials a few times. That was the first time that he had thought he was in the world of Dragonball, but after seeing that he didnt have a tail, and he had brown hair instead of black, he figured that it was just a coincidence. However, now he was more worried that if he was in the Dragonball world, that Vegeta would recognize him.

Kaz then looked at his Gi. He was able to better understand his healing ability after figuring out that he had Ki, however he still didnt know what was going on with his Gi. Even after learning about his Ki he and using all of his strength to punch it, he still couldn't leave a mark on it. He decided that he would ask the first powerful being he met about it, as he didnt know what it was.

*Splash*

While Kaz was thinking about his Gi, a massive fish popped its head out of the water. It looked at Kaz with an expression of anger, but it quickly changed to one of fear when Kaz looked up at him. However, Kaz's expression lit up with joy.

"Moby! Its been a while buddy! Sorry I haven't come to visit lately, I've been really busy training and forgot." Kaz said as he walked up to the fish and started petting him on his head. The fish just stared at him.

"Anyway, I came to tell you that I will be leaving soon to find more people! So sadly this will be goodbye for now." Kaz said with an expression of sadness as he finished petting the fish and turned around, smiling and waving.

The fish was visibly relieved to hear that, but then his expression once again tensed up with Kaz's next words. "But don't worry, Ill come back and visit some time! Anyway, goodbye Moby, Try not to die okay!" Kaz said as he started running.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a few minutes of running, Kaz thought of something and stopped. 'I'm going to try running as long as I can, so I should do the Wim Hof Method to increase my stamina.' Kaz thought as he sat down on the spot, and started his breathing technique. After learning to use his Ki and increasing its power, he had finally been able to break the nineteen round limit. It took him a few hours, but when he finished, he finished on round one hundred.

He didnt know how or why the Wim Hof Method and Ki were related, but he wasn't complaining, he loved the fact that he could hold his breath for half an hour now. On top of that, the effects of the enhanced endurance and stamina last much longer, so now he predicted he could run for a long time. After finishing, Kaz picked a random direction, and started running.

Kaz had underestimated his current physical power. After training so much and reaching such a high level of stamina and endurance normally, with the Wim Hof Method on top of that, Kaz had an incredible amount of stamina and endurance. With that said, with the help of his training, his healing Ki, and the Wim Hof Method, Kaz was able to run for a week straight without stopping once.
