Dragonball- Humanities Peak

Kaz, your average 15-year-old, socially inept weeb, suddenly wakes up in the middle of a forest in the body of a ten-year-old with a magic Gi and healing powers. However, unlike normal teenagers, this was actually the first time he had left his house, and he strongly "disliked" his parents, so he got over it pretty fast. He spent a year living somewhat peacefully (most of the time) and training using exercise regimens he remembered from the internet. He quickly notices that he was able to train at inhuman speeds with seemingly no limit. The speed can be chalked up to his healing powers repairing his muscles the second they tear during training, but the no-limit thing confused him. And when he finally decides to venture out of the forest (kind of), he finally figured it out. Right in front of him, towering thousands of kilometers into the sky and reaching well above the clouds, was Korin's Tower. ------------------------------------------------------------------- There will be no romance involving the mc, as he couldn't care less about that. However I will be writing a lot of romance between the side character (at least Ill try to). Also, the mc is one of those types that doesn't like to kill his enemy, I know that a lot of people don't like that, but there is a good reason for it. They are in the world of Dragonball after all, and death basically has no real consequences, so he thinks that its better to either make them his friend, or seal them away, because killing them will just make them mad and more of a threat when they inevitably return (Frieza). Please leave criticism, just make it constructive, and don't be an Asshole about it. Thanks for reading. Cover art by LordValmar

Chapter 1

Kaz was your probably normal fifteen-year-old teenage boy, he had no friends, a bitch of a family, little to no self-control, shit social skills, and he liked anime. That is, he was normal, until today.

Today he was going about his normal life of reading novels and manga, watching anime and YouTube, and maybe doing some school work if he felt bored enough. These had been the only things he had done every day for the past few years, so he was incredibly bored and angry with his life.

Today he ended his day at about 5 A.M. after rewatching Dragonball for the third time. Of course, he only watched Dragonball and Dragonball z, none of that super shit. He thought the powers in it like god Ki and ultra instinct were cool, however, the writing was way too lazy for him to ever consider watching that twice. He fell asleep that night, once again vowing to himself that he would talk to his parents the next day about leaving the house. But he had already told himself this thousands of times before, and yet never did it, to the point that he never actually took his own words to heart and it was more of a routine at this point than a vow. He thought he would wake up the next day in the late afternoon and continue as he always had, but that day never came.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kaz woke up the next morning at the break of dawn. He was immediately confused as normally he woke up when the sun was already at its highest point, and very rarely did he ever wake up early enough to see the sun rise. But then he noticed something else.

'why can I see the sunrise right now?' He thought to himself as he sat up, finally noticing his surroundings.

"What the fuck!" He yelled as he shot up as fast as he could to look at the tree in front of him and immediately started panicking. "That's a tree. That's a fucking tree! That's a god damn tree in my room! No its not! I'm not in my room! How do I know? Because there is a FUCKING TREE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!"

He looked around, seeing more trees, and even some dirt and grass. "Oh, I'm in a forest, that's a relief, I thought it was just the one tree!" (This is sarcasm, I have to point it out because some people wont pick up on that.)

Then his expression froze. "Oh! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! I get it! This is a lucid dream! I scared myself for a minute there." He then looked down and started counting his fingers to preform a reality check, if they got blurry, then he was dreaming. But they didnt get blurry, so he counted again, and again, and again.

'Come on, get blurry! You cant mess with me like this brain!' He started to panic again, breathing heavily. 'Okay, so its just a really realistic lucid dream, no need to panic, I'll wake up any moment!'

He then looked down at his body, hoping to force himself awake by looking at it. If you think about your body in a lucid dream, it is supposed to forcefully wake you up. However, he just became more terrified.

"W...What? No... No way! This isn't possible! Are you serious?" He stuttered out as he stumbled backward. When he looked at his hands just now, they were small, really small. He noticed that he was short to, about half his previous height.

"Haha...Hahahahahahahaha! I didnt know that the human brain could make such a realistic dream, and to put me in a younger body to, its really going the extra mile!" He mumbled shakily, however his face was covered by a shadow, like an anime character when they're mad. He knew what was happening, as an avid fan of novels and anime, how could he not?

"This isn't supposed to happen like this. I'm supposed to get run over by a truck after saving a little kid. I don't want to reincarnate, or transmigrate, or whatever is going on! Or do I? I always thought I did, so why am I shaking right now?" He asked himself as he fell to the floor, staring at his hands that were shaking.

*Grrrrrrrr*

When he heard that noise, he looked up slowly, with a look of sorrow on his face. "The first monster the hero has to defeat, how could I forget?" He looked forward, only to meet the gaze of a wolf. He was immediately terrified. He had read online that it was possible to defeat, or at least scare off a wolf so long as weren't knocked over as they wouldn't be able to reach the head. However, this only applied to a grown man, someone who was in a childs body didnt stand a chance.

"Come on Kaz, m...move your body! You cant fight this, you need to run!" He said to himself as he was frozen stiff. The wolf growled again, before it lunged forward, dashing toward him at top speed. "God damn it Kaz, dodge!"

After yelling at himself again, he managed to make himself move, ducking under the wolf and rolling to the side. He then stood up and ran toward the tree he was yelling at, jumping as high as he could and grabbing a branch. However, he was still in the body of a child, and he barely had the muscle necessary to hang on, let alone pull himself up. The wolf lunged at him again, biting his leg.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Kaz screamed as he felt the wolves teeth sink into his flesh, then his muscles, and even hitting the bone. The pain was unbearable as he felt his entire leg surge with a scorching heat. However, he didnt let go, and instead felt knew strength overwhelm his muscles.

Humans only use fifty percent of their actual explosive strength. This is because we humans evolved to have more red, slow twitch muscles that are good for endurance and stamina, then the white, fast twitch muscle that are used for explosive strength. However, whenever we are in a state of crisis, our body will take off the limit it put on the fast twitch muscles and allow them to work at full force. This will put a strain on the slow twitch muscles, however we will gain immense strength. This is one of the reasons why, you hear stories of a parent who was able to lift a car of their kid, or someone who out ran a pack of angry geese. This effect even applies to children.

Kaz, in a state of panic, didnt notice his new strength and just followed his instinct, swinging his leg with the wolf on it to the side and smashing the wolf against the tree. The wolf let out a whimper as it let go and fell to the ground and ran away, and Kaz immediately pulled himself on top of the branch.

He didnt know how he was supposed to react so he just sat on the top of the branch and stared at his now mutilated leg. He should have been screaming, however his leg went numb from nerve damage, so the only pain he felt was minimal at best. All he think to do at the moment was just to stare at his leg as it slowly lost blood.

"What do I do? Am I going to die? Am I going to die to a wolf bite, bleeding out on a tree?" He asked himself in a voice full of fear. This was the first time he was injured this badly, and it didnt even hurt, so he didnt know how to react. The only thing he could think to do in the midst of all the panic was to just stare at his leg and hope someone came to help him, and after a what felt like hours, he finally felt his conscious fade as he passed out on the tree branch, rolling over and falling to the ground.

The wolf, who had ran not to far away, came back to inspect the child as he noticed it was unconscious. All the wolf wanted was to have an easy meal, however the human child he was "hunting" wasn't normal.

*Rumble*

As the wolf walked toward him, a transparent grey aura suddenly erupted around him, making nearby pebbles float. Wind rushed in all directions away from him, blowing the leaves on the trees, and small cracks appeared on the ground. The wolf immediately whimpered and ran away. As the aura was exploding around him, Kaz's leg was healing at an incredible speed that was visible to the naked eye. After healing fully, the aura faded, and Kaz laid there, completely still for hours, sleeping.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Uugh, what the hell? Why do I feel so tired even though I just woke up?" Kaz groaned in pain as he sat up, his head. Opening his eyes and looking around, his face sank once again. "I guess it really isn't a dream." He said with tears in his eyes as he realized he would probably never be able to live a life of comfort like he used to. And the worst pert about it was that he couldn't tell if he wanted that or not.

"Shit! My leg!" He yelled as he remembered why he passed out and he looked at his leg. "What the hell? Was that part a dream?" He asked himself as he inspected his legs, which were now completely fine.

"No, maybe I have a power like Subaru's?" He was about to be excited when he thought of that, however, then he noticed all the blood around his leg, and on the branch above him, and the blood stained pantleg. Speaking of which, he was wearing a black, sleeveless karate gi with no shoes.

'If its not a reset power, then how am I healed? Do I have a healing factor or some type of immortality? I'll have to figure this out later, for now, I should look for somewhere to hide.' He thought as he stood up, noticing that it was a lot later, probably about 4 or 5 in the afternoon. 'By the looks of it, I've been laying here for at least nine hours. Why didn't any other animals attack me in that time, especially with the smell of my blood? Stop getting distracted Kaz! You need to find somewhere to hide, preferably near some water.'

He refocused his mind, after the encounter with the wolf, he realized that he needed to find somewhere safe before he could panic. He looked around, scanning his surroundings for anywhere that may be difficult for animals to reach. He couldn't find anything, so he started walking, very cautiously, while searching.

'I need a place high up, to stop normal land animals like that wolf from reaching me, with a ledge of some sort so that animals that can climb cant reach me, and a roof to stop any birds from finding me. I wont be able to find something with all of these requirements, so Ill have to modify it.'

After walking for about five minutes, he spotted a cave. It was a small cave that was in the side of a cliff, it was shallow so he could see the end of it from outside, about the size and shape of the cave Chopper used to live in during the drum island arc of One Piece. The best part was that he would have to climb a bit to reach it, meaning that he would be safe from birds and wolves, and probably climbing animals as well if he can get a door on it.

'Okay, after I secure this place, I can go look for some water, then I can finally rest and collect my thoughts.' He then did his best to climb up to the cave, which took a few tries as it was a few meters up and he had never climbed before.

He then sat down for a second, breathing out a sigh of relief. "Strangely, I'm not thirsty or hungry, so water can wait, Ill collect my thoughts first." He sat back, at first with an expression of exhaustion, then horror, then fear, but finally, it ended with him grinning.

'I am in the middle of the forest, likely in another world, though I have no proof of that. The animals as of yet look to be the same, but I've only seen that wolf, a few birds, and a rabbit on my way here, so I cant be sure. For some reason I am in the body of a child and wearing a martial arts gi, so this might be a case where I took over an abandoned childs body. I have some type of healing ability that can heal large wounds, though, I don't know whether it was hours that passed or days, so I cant be sure of its speed. And for some reason, during that time, no other animals attacked me, otherwise there would be more blood on my gi. Speaking of which, why didnt it tear from that wolves bite?'

'In any case, with all these taken into account, I am likely in some type of magic martial arts world, though its probably a soft magic world as that wolf probably would have been stronger otherwise. But I've only been able to observe this place for a few hours now, so my estimates aren't reliable at all. Now, how should I survive here, and do I want to go home?' This question was one that Kaz didnt know how to answer, but he knew that he would have to.

'If I do, I will go back to that boring life where I have video games, the internet, anime, manga, novels, a bed, a toilet, food, water and my family. But if I don't, then I will have to stay in this forest, sleeping on rocks and leaves, wiping my ass with leaves, eating leaves, and probably living with my life on the line at all times. However...' Kaz grinned as he decided.

"I can finally learn it, I can finally force myself to learn discipline! Before, I had everything handed to me, and there was no challenge in my life, and no motivation for doing anything. But now... now I have a reason! If I want to survive I will have to work for it, and by doing so I will inevitably learn discipline and become like the heroes in all the stories I've read! Now... the first thing I need to do to survive, after water and food of course, is train. I need to train until none of my muscles will move, because if I don't, I wont be strong or fast enough to defeat or outrun any of the animals here."

Kaz stood up again, and went out to find some water and food, because he would need it to fuel the next few days of hell he was about to put himself through.

The upload schedule is probably going to be slow as this is just a hobby of mine and I still have other things to do, but Ill try to keep it to at least one a week, though Ill shoot for one a day. IF you like the story, leave a review, you know, tell me what I'm doing wrong and what I'm doing right so I can adjust to fix it. Or you could comment, that'll work too. Anyway, thanks for reading.
