Dragon Warlock: Divine Summoner in The Apocalypse

A thousand, thousand years ago, the gods and daemons clashed in a furious apocalypse, The War of Doomsday. That perilous war spawned the creation of Time Storms, Teleportals, and recently, Sorcerers. A Sorcerer was a person born with the ability to manipulate the energy of the gods. With their amazing abilities, they protected the world from FlashBacks, beasts, and other perilous vices out to slay humanity. Once each ten years, hundreds of people would develop an Energy Core and thus, would become a sorcerer. They would then spend some time at The P.A and come out as Protectors. This was one of those decades. Red haired teenager, Tai Leong had been born in the other parts of the Floating Isles. Abandoned by his birth parents, he had been raised by a nice couple who took him in. However, they had died soon after when a Grade-2 Flashback had occurred near their house, luckily, Tai had been saved in the nick of time by a Protector who happened to be in the area. But never had he ever thought that he would now become one of the Protectors himself. However, with a weak summoning Affinity, Tai resigns to his fate of being a forever weak item summoner. Until ... [You have slain a divine level beast, Shadow Dragon's spawn.] [Your soul energy grows stronger] [You have received a Summon] Armed with the power of The Divine Dragons in his hands, and extreme misfortune by his side, Tai is determined to survive the apocalypse and become the strongest Protector to ever live while at it.

Shadow Dragon

Tai managed to narrate the entire tale of the time loop to Nikolah, and strangely, her only reaction was to close her eyes for a few seconds, then nod slightly.

"I see."

The red haired teenager frowned.

What the hell did she mean by she sees?!!

He had just told them that they had all died a couple hundred times over the course of two years, and all she could say was 'i see'?

There was something certainly wrong with the blue haired teenage girl.

Anyways, now that they had all been filled in on the status of the island, it was finally time to kill the damned dragon. But how could only three students of the Unlocked rank even think about killing a dragon?

Well, these particular three Unlocked, were the oddest group of Unlocked to ever go on an expedition.

For one, all three of them had super rare affinities, then two of them were masters with a sword, then one of them had a divine level system.

Not to mention that the divine level system gave him protection against mind attacks and made him keep his memories after each revolution.

The chances of such a group were simply astronomical, such that the chances of them killing a dragon paled in comparison.

Tai sighed and got to his feet.

It was about time they had left the Island anyways.

Claire was thrown violently to the ground as the obsidian dragon shuddered and grew still.

The mighty beast had died.

The blonde girl had her arms broken and her face bloodied. Her golden blonde hair was painted crimson red like Tai's, and her breathing was rugged.

She must have broken one or two ribs.

Nikki was not in a better condition.

Her azure blue hair was scorched in some places, she was missing an arm and her legs were twisted at an unnatural angle.

Her eyes had the dull lacklustre look of extreme exhaustion and she remained sprawled out on the ground, unmoving.

Tai was more or less in a much better condition.

He was almost perfectly fine, infact.

However, all in all, he had suffered the most. He had the mental scars of repeatedly dying and waking up for two full years to prove it.

Bodily injuries could be fixed back to it's optional condition with a weak affinity to healing. With a strong one, one could even regrow lost body parts and organs.

However, mental trauma could never be fixed.

The red haired teenager had a slight smirk on his face as he studied the floating words in front of his eyes.

[You have slain a mythical level beast, Shadow Dragon.]

[You have received a summon, Shadow Dragon]

Then the slight smirk turned into a small smile, then the small smile turned into a wide grin.

It was partly because of the joy of killing a dragon, more so because it was a dragon he hated.

But more because of the summon he had obtained.

The floating words read:

[Shadow Dragon]

[A mystical creature once took refuge on a beautiful island filled with treasures. It was beautiful, it was perfect. However, the island was already occupied by a more harrowing beast.

One that had lived for centuries on end, a beast immune to death. And so a fierce battle began. The mighty dragon almost fell, but managed to survive solely by it's amazing abilities using the shadows and darkness at it's disposal.

But a few hundred years after, a stubborn red head managed to slay it by dumb luck after dying by it's hand a hundred, hundred times.

This summon grants the user a familiarity with Darkness, and a manifestation of the Shadow Dragon in what ever form the user wishes.]

Tai's heart began to race.

'in any form the user wishes?!'

Wouldn't this mean that he could literally summon the shadow dragon if he wished.

This was simply incredible!

Tai could finally control beasts!,... At least a manifestation of the beast provided he was the one who dealt the killing blow, but it was still something.

"So this is the power of a divine level system..."

A Divine level system was something that was only heard about in legends,

A system that contained the power of a god.

They had unimaginable power and could do unfanthomable things. Things transcending logic, even.

Thus, Tai's Divine Level System had given him the ability to summon a manifestation of the Shadow Dragon.

As an item type summoner, he could not summon living things.

But the manifestation was made out of the Shadow dragon's soul energy, it was inanimate.

Technically, it was an item.

Now, the red haired teenager had three summons:

[Divine Summoning System]

[Energy Core: 1]

[60/100]

[Summons: Obsidian Sword]

[Ordinary Pencil]

[Shadow Dragon]

Out of them all, The Shadow Dragon was his most prized possession.

Fighting the beast had not been easy at all, if not for luck, they would have all perished once again.
