Heavenly Dragon's Ascension
Long Yang closed his eyes and went over the contents of 'Heavenly Dragon's Ascension'. The manual was split into two main parts and a subpart.
The first main part involves the clearing and widening of the primary and extraordinary meridians. It was very simple yet difficult at the same time. The process was simple, by directing one's qi outward from the dantian through one of the meridians, the force of the qi will clear out natural blockages and impurities in the meridian tempering and strengthening it. After clearing out the twelve primary meridians, the cultivator can begin to start impacting the extraordinary meridians.
The difficult part is the pain, the pain of forcefully clearing out blockages from one's fragile meridians is immensely painful but the benefits of open, wide meridians is endless. In most cases, with completely unblocked meridians, one can easily triumph over opponents at the same cultivation level. The cultivation speed and qi output will always be higher than others giving one a huge advantage.
The second main part went over the path that qi would be circulated when cultivating for the best effect while one is still undergoing the process of clearing the meridians. After the meridians are cleared, there is another way to circulate and take in qi for the best effect. In addition, by following the chants in the manual, one can clear his mind doubling the efficiency of the cultivation session. The combination of the chants and special circulation path allows the user to cultivate a small amount of dragonic qi.
The subpart of the manual allows one to utilize dragonic qi to forcefully extract the pure essence out of natural resources and treasures. At the cost of some of the essence, one can also form a pill with the safe effects that the essence would have provided with no impurities in it.
As Long Yang was focusing on the manual, he heard a soft whisper, "he's just so adorable." He opened his eyes to see the rugged face of a man with a little bit of stubble on his chin. The sight startled him and Long Yang unknowingly started to tear up.
The man started to look frantic, he picked Long Yang up and roughly started to rock him back and forth. Long Yang felt even more uncomfortable and started to bawl uncontrollably. Even though his soul is that of his previous life, his body is still very immature and not all too accustomed to it.
He tried to appease Long Yang to no avail, "Oh, oh, lil' Yang, its okay, its okay, its just papa, papa here. Shh, shh, no need to cry." He suddenly felt a chill down his spine as he slowly turned around him to see an infuriated woman with her arms crossed and an angry glare in her eyes.
The man gulped down some saliva and began to chuckle nervously, "Ha-ha, H-honey, I, I was just, I didn't, I wasn't trying to."
The woman sighed, "stop, stop rocking the baby." She walked up to the man and took Long Yang into her arms. She gentling rocked him back and forth, "shh, baby, it's okay now, the bad man is gone, don't worry."
"H-hey, I'm his father, I'm not some-" She glared at the man silencing him. Long Yang slowly quieted down before he stopped crying. The lady wiped away the remaining tears still on Long Yang's eyes and smiled down at him.
Having recovered from his sudden uncontrolled outburst, Long Yang took a clear look up at the lady. "There, there, mother is here, no need to worry, everything is going to be alright."
His mother looked to be in her early 20's, she had black hair tied up into a bun, her face no longer as pale as earlier. 'This is my mother? I feel safe in her gentle embrace. Is this what it feels like to have a mother?'
Long Yang's tiny mouth curled up into a smile as he let out a small cry of glee. His mother smiled and turned towards the man, "aren't you going to come over and look at your son? He's smiling!"
The man smiled with relief and walked over. Long Yang looked at him as his mother started talking, "see that bad man over there? That's your father, so you don't have to be so scared of him okay?"
Long Yang's father smiled nervously in wait of Long Yang's response. 'That's my father? I have a father!' He let out another cry of glee at the mere thought of it. His father broke out into a huge grin, "Hahaha, that's my son!" He took Long Yang into his arms and rubbed his face against his.
Long Yang felt uncomfortable rubbing up against his father's face and his smile turned into a frown as he started to tear up again. His father stopped rubbing and brought him away from his face, "Ah, what do I do, oh no..."
His mother sighed and took him back into her arms, rocking him back and forth calming him down. "Alright, let's get you to sleep okay?" She walked over to the crib and placed him back down in it. She watched over Long Yang but he wouldn't fall asleep.
"Looks like you're going to need a little bit of help falling asleep." She started to hum a tune very quietly but audible enough for Long Yang to hear. The tune was pleasant and soothing to the ears and very quickly, Long Yang's eyelids started to droop before he fell asleep with a smile on his little face.
