1 Chapter 1 : Transmigration
12 AM.
*Building*
In one of the apartments, a young man was currently in poor condition on his bed.
This young man had pale skin and his body was rather thin. He had messy, dirty black hair that reached up to his shoulders. He was also wearing dirty clothes, which appeared to have been used for weeks.
This young man slowly opens his eyes. He looks around while being confused as to where he is.
He noticed growls coming from outside the room.
* Pam * * Pam * * Pam * ...
The growls were accompanied by violent banging on the door of his apartment.
The apartment wasn't that big, just enough to live a normal life. Everything was in one room except the toilet and the bathroom which were in another which was next to her. The room contained a bed with a wardrobe next to it, a kitchen, a dining table and a television.
The apartment was in a rather chaotic state. There were clothes all over the place, utensils on the floor, scraps of food, tears on the wall that seemed to be provoked by a mad human, and even a table that wasn't even in a good way.
* Pam * * Pam * * Pam *...
The noises grew louder and louder, the young man was wide awake after being confused about his situation, he quickly regained his composure.
"For some reason I landed in this body with these memories after being dead betrayed by these motherfuckers even though it was predictable..." The man was calm about his situation despite the pain coming from his head and his stomach.
"According to this body's recollection, this world went into apocalypse a few weeks ago. A lot of humans have been slaughtered by these "zombies". It's exactly like in those movies I had seen in the past. Not just that, this boy who has the same name as me, Zakiri Kenshin and he seems to be Japanese too. This guy was a cowardly and not courageous person with a pathetic body." Kenshin got up from his bed to go look at himself in the bathroom. He was slightly surprised to see that his eyes were not the same color. One was a piercing azure blue while the other was blood red which matched very well with his brown eyebrows.
'I analyzed the situation even though I have no idea how I ended up here, but I wouldn't say no to a second life. Especially in a world where murder has become commonplace unlike my life as a murderer. From what I know of my current situation, I haven't tamed myself for 3 days in food and water. It hurts me so fucking hard, but I endured worse so I still resisted for a while. This boy had used up all his provisions he had by eating only once a day. I have to admit he was pretty smart that he managed to save so much food, but he was a cowardly worthless man who had no courage even against those monsters...I have to deal with this garbage that haven't stopped breaking my ears for a while.' Kenshin had gone into the kitchen to find a suitable weapon to kill those zombies that were outside his apartment.
He was looking in the drawer that contained the knives. Looking at the different sizes that had, he wanted to go for a small size.
Among these knives, there were all sizes. From small to large. Kenshin took the various knives in his hand and then placed his finger on each one to check their sharpness.
After some testing he finally picked up 2 knives which were medium and small in size.
"Using my skills from my past life, it won't be that hard to kill them. Like in the movies, by planting their heads or cutting them off, I could take them down. I don't have much strength right now. I'm going to have to get food all over this building or I'm going to starve stupidly. Well, let's take care of those guys outside now." His eyes were cold like his expression from his past life.
He walked over to his apartment door then peeked through the hole in the door to see their numbers.
"3? There aren't many of them. But to take them all at once would be suicide. I have to find a way to kill them without them having time to run over me..." He didn't think about it any further a long time and opened the door.
The zombie looked very hideous. He had red eyes with bloodstained clothes all over his body. His skin was green with a few sores on her body. His hair was messy and white like the other two.
Without further ado, Kenshin aimed his medium-sized knife with all his might, at the zombie's skull. He managed to plant it, splattering blood on his face, then pulls it out and he pushes the zombie on his abdomen with his foot towards the other two behind him, causing them to fall.
He didn't wait any longer, lifting his knives up and then he precisely threw his two knives at the heads of the two zombies.
* Splash! * Blood from the two splashed all over Kenshin, he removed his knives then gazed down the aisle on his floor with gasps.
He didn't see any other zombies, so he walked over to the apartment next to his.
But before he could get into it, he heard a sudden voice in his head.
{Ding ! The host made his first kill ! Please head to the gift box to collect your rewards !}
Kenshin returned to his apartment again to pay more attention to this thing that appeared in front of him. He was suspicious of the voice and that blue sign in front of him.
"What is it ? It almost sounds like RPG games according to this guy's memories. And, gifts ? How do I get to the gift box ?" He suddenly saw a blue sign with a list of objects in front of him.
(The host wants to collect their rewards?}
"Yes" He replied without thinking too much.

"That solves my current problem… But what good is this "Dragon Progenitor Bloodline ?" Kenshin was calm but a little confused but a voice answered in his head. He didn't think much about the system, if it was useful to him he had nothing to say.
{Response to host: Every person in this world has a bloodline which differs from person to person. People with a low bloodline are useless and will not gain any benefit. After the apocalypse, people with a lineage awakened their powers corresponding to their blood. Example: Wolf Bloodline: The user can transform into a wolf hybrid and use abilities that match their bloodline.
What you call "zombie" are people who have been turned into monsters because of their low bloodline or because they have had a bloodline that is much too strong for their body and because they have no talent to master it. People with a low bloodline are transformed via a bite from a person who is already transformed because the bite stimulates the blood and thus, the bloodline. People who lose control of their powers can also lose their minds and turn into a monster. Monsters can vary depending on their bloodline.
"I guess each person has a stronger or weaker lineage than others, right?" Kenshin was still calm.
{The host is correct. Individuals with a higher bloodline will certainly have an advantage over people with a lower bloodline. The host received "Dragon Progenitor Bloodline", he is the first created dragon in the universe and also the most powerful that has ever existed. This bloodline is one of the strongest with 4 others. "You said too strong a bloodline can turn me into a monster. It would just be suicide." Kenshin said coldly.

"Alright. I'm going to eat 1 can and drink 1L of water and then we can start. This hunger is unbearable." He quickly took a tin can and a bottle and ate and drank carefully to avoid any waste. After he finished eating and drinking, he got into his bed
"Start the integration, system." Kenshine waited for the system's voice then after a few minutes he heard his voice.

Kenshine felt immense pain throughout his body. He felt like his organs were being crushed and healed every second. His bones were broken and mended every moment. He clenched his teeth to relieve the pain and not to scream to avoid luring the zombies into his state.
'It's more painful than I thought...But strength is needed in this world, so it's nothing !' He had a strong will that enabled him to resist pain.
His struggle continued for a few hours before she heard the system again.

"System...You only told me 1%, isn't that too little ?" Kenshine asked calmly as he gazed at his new body in amazement. He had undressed before the integration to avoid having problems.
He had noticed that he had grown a few inches taller and his hair had become slick with blue undertones, it had also fallen down. His eyes hadn't changed except for the pupils that had become slits in the shape of reptiles. His weak body had changed to a toned body with explosive muscles, neither too big nor excessive, but perfect. His face gave off an icy look that matched his calm, cold gaze very well. His face was already attractive from the base, but the Bloodline made it even better by correcting any imperfections, leaving no fat on it. From his torso down to his abs, he had a tattoo of a blue colored western dragon that had an arrogant and domineering look with a crown on his head to show his supremacy.

Kenshin had a streak of anger on his forehead but he quickly calmed down knowing the system was telling the truth. He managed to get a second chance without being able to know the reason but he had to take advantage of this chance. He was never to become arrogant, he may have the purest dragon bloodline but by no means managed to absorb it. So his power progression may be lower than the people he meets in the future.
"System, apart from everything you told me, are there any other features ? I'm also referring to the first sentence you told me which sounded like mission accomplished." Kenshine had doubts about other features of the system and therefore asked the question.

The first interface as its name suggests, allows you to see your current statistics such as strength, agility, vitality...Experience points are obtainable through missions or by killing beings like zombies, zombified animals or even humans having awakened their bloodline.
The second interface is used to display the daily quests and those that are in progress. Quests are only given by the system.
The third interface can allow you to earn rewards by using tickets or magic cores left by mutated zombies. Magic Cores can be used to strengthen one's body or to redeem them for points that are used to purchase lottery tickets or items at the Daily Shop. The shop contains only 10 items including 1 or more guaranteed rare item.
The fourth interface is a dimensional space that can store anything non-living in a 2x2 cubic meter space that can be upgraded by points in the system. This dimensional space has no function of time, so it is frozen all the time.}
"Thanks for the explanation. Show me my stats, system." Kenshin wanted to see his current overall strength.

"I have an overall strength that is at least three times as strong as a normal human and MP seems to be my strongest point. I guess 'Luck' can be useful for the lottery and the shop. System, what do I use levels for and what is magic ?" Kenshin was pleased with his overall strength.
{Answer: Levels allow you to gain "stats points" and be able to unlock more new items for the daily store depending on the level. The "stats points" are used to improve one of the stats. Your strength does not necessarily correspond to a level. You can increase your strengths very well without needing the system, and the host is also recommended to gain strength on their own than to rely on the system. Magic is the source of energy used after the apocalypse takes place. Every person has magic in their body no matter how weak it is. Magic can be improved by practicing it or by strengthening its spiritual core which is located at the level of the heart.
There are also spiritual veins in the body which allow the use of magic. Spiritual veins can also be different in different individuals because of bloodline. Some can be more effective in controlling magic than in quantity for example. Since you have the bloodline of the dragon, you have the talent to have perfect control over your magic as well as a phenomenal amount.}

"System, use lottery tickets." Kenshin wanted to get some rewards before he went hunting zombies. His new body was 3 times stronger than a normal human so he was pretty confident. He will ask later how to use magic.

"I was lucky for the first one I guess. But what are these body pills for? I had received 5 before."
{Answer: "Body pills" can be used to strengthen your body. At first, they can be effective for a weak person at first. But become less efficient as the body gets stronger. These pills only strengthen the attributes of the body, not the magic.}
"I see. So can I get my pills?" Kenshin asked.

"Thank you." Kenshin tried to think of a 2x2 cubic meter space then he quickly saw a black space with a cube that contained various objects.
He looked at the pills that were in two bottles. He wanted to have them in his hand and then a second later he managed to have the pill bottles in his hands.
"To retrieve an object, you just have to think about it and you get it in your hands. It's pretty simple as a mechanism. Well, you just have to swallow these pills I guess." Kenshin looked at the pills he put in his hands and then swallowed them all at once.
He felt a pleasant warmth spread through his body. After a few minutes this feeling disappeared but he had felt an increase in his strength.
"These pills are more useful than I thought...
I think I can behead these zombies with no problem. System, show me my stats."

"As I thought, I received a good improvement. These pills are very useful at the moment, if the lottery gives me more I will not refuse. But I will have to get used to this body and the only way is to go and confront these monsters. I have to get some clothes before that and this dagger can be useful too." He thought of the clothes he had seen and received them in his hands. They were neatly folded.
It was a set of black clothes. The top was a jacket with a hood while the bottom was jeans that matched the jacket very well. There were also black sneakers with a pair of gloves that left the knuckles open.
"Black is perfect. I don't have to worry about a ridiculous color of clothes. But why is it ranked C?"
{Answer: These clothes have an aura that will hide your scent from normal zombies. But this does not apply to mutated zombies.}
"It's very effective. With my assassin techniques, walking quietly is very easy and the scent mask is perfect for me. Now I need the dagger." He thought of the dagger in his inventory then a sharp object appeared in his hand.
The dagger had a black leather hilt. The blade was an obsidian color which reflected a very pure black. There was a western dragon etched all over the blade.
"Well, this knife is also black. I guess its properties shouldn't be underestimated. System, do I have something that allows me to evaluate an object?"
{Yes. You have a skill called "Divine Vision" which allows you to know all the properties of an object or even to observe a living being. But that doesn't apply to stronger than you. You will not be able to see the stats of an entity that outclasses you in strength, but you will still be able to see the stats of a person who does not greatly outperform you in strength.}
"Okay. I have everything I need now. Thanks for answering all of my questions." Kenshin looked at his dagger then said {Divine Vision} in his head.

Effects: It is a blade that has a powerful edge that can even cut wood without difficulty. This blade has a strong resistance and is therefore very difficult to break. The blade inflicts a "Bleed" state on those hit. The "Bleeding" state means that the affected person cannot regenerate the injured area and this causes blood to flow continuously depending on the wound.
"As I expected, this blade is powerful. This 'Bleed' state is surely not the only effect you can have on an object. This blade has no name, I'll call it "Kuroken" Even though it's a dagger. Time to go I guess." Kenshin put his provisions in his inventory and then he headed outside his apartment.
"By the way, system. How can I use magic and my hybrid transformation ?" Kenshin asked.
{The host must figure this out for himself.} Said the usual cold voice of the system.
"I see. I'll go straight outside the building to find more targets. I'm in a small town with over 10,000 people, it shouldn't be too hard to get out of here." Kenshin walked out of the apartment with his dagger in hand and his usual cold gaze.
{Ding ! The host has received a mission ! Eliminate 20 normal zombies and 1 mutated zombie!}
Zombies Hunt!

"It's a good reward. 0.1 looks small, but it's a good amount. I guess it will be harder to purify my bloodline in the future." He looked indifferently at the zombies that were downstairs from the apartment.
"There are at least a hundred in this corner of town. I'll take them all out and then see how many rewards I've received. But I haven't seen a mutated zombie yet." He started to descend stairs that were outside his apartment.
There were 5 floors. The staircase that Kenshin took is an escape route that leads directly to the entrance to the building. The place where Kenshin is located is rather a tight space. His apartment building was surrounded by houses that lined up to form an alley in front of them. Across the road there was also a building similar to Kenshine's. But this one was aligned with supermarkets and hobby shops. These stores were also Kenshine's second goal. He needed provisions, after all he was not going to survive on a few cans and two bottles of water that would last a few days.
