Chapter 1 - Fei Fong

Chapter 1 – Fei Fong

In the country of Arcland there was a certain boy on his way to a public hospital that resides in the city Psychoses. The boy has long braided green hair, blue eyes, mole on his right cheek and wore a blue jacket with jeans. He was in a hurry huffing and puffing as he ran. His heart felt like giving up with every step he took towards the hospital. People on the sidewalk looked at him worriedly because all they saw was a boy running at an astonishing speed. One second he was here, the other second he's out of sight. The boy rushed to the hospital to see the only family he has left.

When the boy arrived he wasted no time running to the third floor without most people noticing. His running speed accelerated to the point you can't catch sight of him. He entered room no.14 and saw a short green haired girl with blue eyes and a small mole on her right cheek. The girl looked identical to the boy in so many ways.

"Are you okay Sue?" the boy asked.

"Sorry Fei, It was a false alarm. I shouldn't have called you here. Now you'll be late for school" the girl replied.

"Nonsense we're twins, you might die any day now and I don't want to miss it" said the boy with big smile.

Fei's sister Sue suffers from a heart disease called cardiomyopathy since the day she was born. Gradually throughout the years Sue's body got weaker and it became harder to breathe. Their mother and grandparents suffered from the same disease that can't be cured but lived long lives nevertheless. It is a miracle how Fei didn't get the illness his family was cursed with. He sat beside Sue for the whole day keeping her company. Fei tried his very best to put on a happy face for his sister despite the sadness he felt. In just a matter of days he will be all alone. His mother died and father disappeared. His sister is all he has left. When the day was over Fei made sure to make his sister laugh as much as he could.

"Your final days must be filled with joy and laughter. Don't forget that" Fei reminded.

Sue nodded and agreed. "Hmm, it's been so long since I've been at school. I'd like to see some of my classmates before anything sudden happens" She said holding her head. Sue looked dizzy so Fei rested her head on a soft pillow and promised her. "Give me some names. I'll see what I can do" he said holding in his laughter. After giving him the names Sue thanked his brother for coming and he left the hospital. While he was heading home his body felt way lighter than this morning. "Hehehehe, that girl's a lot of work. She made me think she was in danger so I could hightail myself over here" Fei laughed at the thought. When he arrived at his apartment's door he saw three guys holding bats in their hands. They looked pissed and were staring right at Fei's door.

"Hehe, BOOOOOOO!" Fei startled them from behind.

The three guys turned around. One was spooked while the other two were even angrier. Fei recognized their faces after they turned around and began scratching his head confused. He remembered giving each of them a nosebleed in front of a crowd. He raised his hand up in the air as an indicator that he wants to speak. "Talk you shithead!" the guys yelled.

"Ah sweet. I don't understand why the three of you are at my door with bats. Did you just finish baseball practice and want to have some tea with me. It's nice to bond with people who you made trouble for" Fei giggled.

BAAAAAANG!

BAAAAAANG!

They started slamming Fei's door with their bats relentlessly. Fei sighed and tried his best to keep a smile on his face. He knows more than anything else that they just want to see him upset. "Shithead! Come over here. I'm going to smash your head in" one guy shouted furiously. Fei casually walked up to them and asked "What are your names again? I forgot them".

The three guys swung their bats at Fei with every intention to hit him. Fei ducked and dodged all three of the bat swings. The thugs ended up slapping each other with their own bats. Fei stood back up and laughed at the three fools. "Next time don't get so close to each other" Fei said happily. They swung at him once again but this time Fei didn't dodged. He jumped kicked one of them in the crotch then proceeded to hold the other two's hand. Before they swung with the bats Fei twisted their arms causing them to spin and hit the ground harshly.

Fei covered his face and giggled. "I'm sorry but you three picked a crappy day to fight me. I could disarm you at any time I wish but no. Keep the bats, without them it wouldn't be fair" teased Fei. The three thugs stood back up enraged. They charged at Fei simultaneously hoping to land at least one solid blow on him. Fei uppercuts one up in the air then stopped a swing that almost reached his face by catching it between his elbow and knee. He could have caught the bat normally but he decided not to. That enraged them even more.

Fei jumped high then spin kicked all three of them one after the other. "You guys are so angry right now you aren't thinking straight. That state of kind will never beat a master of several martial arts" said Fei confidently. He took the three bats and broke them in two. He opened his busted door and smiled. "You guys came here for revenge or what not. What did my door ever do to you?"

"Doesn't matter, I'll be visiting your houses soon enough for payment heehehehe" he grinned.

The next day Fei headed straight to his sister's school All Star Academy. She only managed to do two years at the school before she got hospitalised. Her class was 3-R. Fei found the classroom for 3-R on the second floor of the main building. Before he entered the classroom he checked the list of names Sue gave him. Names of her close friends in her class. "Malcolm Whyte ex-boyfriend, Trish her bestie, Kevin Harrison, Saul Rainford" Fei listed out. He entered the classroom and called the names one by one. Both Trish and Malcolm responded to Fei's call but Kevin and Saul didn't seem to be at school.

"What's up? Who might you be?" asked Trish.

"He is Sue's brother. She never told me she had a twin" said Malcolm.

"Hi, my name is Fei Fong and as you already guessed I am Sue's brother. I was born five minutes after my sis. Anyways I came here for a favour. Sue's days are numbered so I'm trying my best to make her last days filled with happiness. Right now she wants to see you guys again" said Fei. He was pleased to see how easy it was to speak to Sue's classmates. As he awaits a response a teacher barged inside the classroom ready to start his class. Fei told Malcolm and Trish that he will be waiting at the gates after school.

"Any day now I will be all alone. I wonder if there's a way to cure her illness. Maybe if u pay the doctor more something might change. Jeez this suck, I wish you the best Sue" said Fei.

He waited across the street from school in a bakery. He drank milk and ate cookies. After that Fei suddenly felt the urge to do some breathing exercises. Controlling your breathing is a hobby Fei picked when he was learning martial arts. Whether it be Taekwondo, Kung Fu or any other fighting style. You can maximize its potential simply by controlling your own breaths. Fei closed his eyes and started his exercise in the bakery.

When school finished for the day Fei waited at the gate for Malcolm and Trish. He waited for over half an hour and still no sign of the two he spoke to this morning. "Where the hell are those two?" Fei wondered. He went to check the classroom by looking through the glass part of the door. Fei was shocked by what he saw. Malcolm and Trish were cleaning the classroom together while everyone else went home. "That's messed up" laughed Fei. Fei was about to open the door but realized that it was locked from the inside.

"Why is the door locked?" he asked himself.

Trish and Malcolm opened the door for Fei after noticing someone was at the door. "Oh you're still here" said Trish disappointed. "You want us to visit Sue. Not a chance" said Malcolm. Fei thought he misheard Malcolm so he asked if he could repeat his statement.

"You want us to visit Sue. Not a chance in hell. I don't want to see her. She dumped me so we're through" said Malcolm.

Fei nodded in understanding and replied "Hmm you're lucky. If you were still in a relationship with her your heart would be broken when she dies". Trish glared at Fei and told him to leave. "Are you going to visit Sue Trish? Sue says you're her bestie" said Fei.

"Don't you have any shame?"

"You're talking like you've accepted your sister's demise" said Trish upsettingly. Fei smiled and scratched his head. "Wipe that grin off your face. You should be sad and angry. You look happy as hell. If you're what Sue has for support in this harsh time then I feel sorry for her. I can't see her today but I'll definitely stop by tomorrow. Get out of my sight" said Trish. Fei took none of her words seriously and thanked her for deciding to visit. He turned his attention to Malcolm and said "I don't know what Sue saw in you"

Later on that day Fei went to pay Sue a visit with some cookies in his pocket. When he entered his sister's room he saw a green haired man with a mole on his right cheek. He had on grey suit with a suitcase in hand.

The moment Fei saw the man his heart skipped a beat. He immediately knew who the man was. Someone who he thought was dead or didn't even exist. Fei realized where he and his sister got their looks from. It certainly wasn't from their mother. "This man, could he be our father?" thought Fei.
