The Tome

Zekith is in his room sitting on the floor cross legged looking at this tome. The pages were thick but really flexible. Clearly its pages were made from a type of animal hide. It's bindings and cover were different as well. It had a very soft fur texture. Flipping over the first page the title of the book had the word RA the clan of the sun. Written in bold letters. Swoosh! Upon opening the first page a beam of light erupted from the open pages. As the energy settled down light slowly appeared from the pages as the words began to illuminate in a beautiful cerulean blue. It was an amazing site as Zekith watched as the blue words jumped off the page. These words very quickly surrounded him and his caution went on full alert as the space in front of his vision shimmered.

"Be on alert something is coming!" Ren warned as a pressure surrounded them.

From the distortion came a figure. She was a strong looking woman of about 40 years in age. Her clothing was modest and function. But there was a elegance to her simple attire. She stood there before Zekith and looked down at the child before him. Her eyes glowed in the same cerulean color as the words as she sharply and sternly looked at Ren. "Return to the Ouroboros. You are not permitted to learn to this!" The woman waved her hand and the ring on Zekith's finger began to shine. Moments later Ren was dragged back into the it. She couldn't even protest. He tried to say something in her defense and this lady merely rose one finger. This simple action rendered Zekith mute and unable to move. As she gazed at the boy and sensing his power. She smiled and sat down. All the while maintain eye contact with Zekith. "I'm sure you have many questions. I will answer them to the best of my knowledge." She spoke.

Zekith felt his bindings release. "Who are you and what did you do to Ren?" He shouted.

"Oh!" she raised an eyebrow. Although the binding was released she hadn't released the pressure that surrounded them. "I've forgot to introduce myself. My name is Ma Hao Ra. It's a pleasure to meet you Zekith." Never taking her eyes off the boy. But before he could let that sink in Ma Hao continued. "For someone so young you sure do have some interesting things. First we have this ancient family heirloom relic." She pointed to the ring on the boys finger. "It was once called Dragons Union and was an extremely powerful item. It was thought to have been lost for many millennia. I'm glad it's in the hands of a clansman. To bad it is badly damaged and you are far to weak to repair it." Ma Hao shock her head. "All isn't totally lost. Actually I'm quite surprised and my evaluation of you has risen. The ring has chosen to bind with you so this gives me hope. Now the apparition that resides within the ring is quite the unique character as well. Don't worry, I have brought no harm to your friend but she isn't of my bloodline. Therefore isn't permitted to hear my words. Then there is your power. At seven years old and level one chi power and level one magi power. Impressive!"

Zekith finally gathered his wits. "How is this possible? You are my ancestor right? How do you know my name?"

Confused by this question. Ma Hao answers. "They really haven't told you anything?" She took a deep breath and sighed. "Let's begin from here. This will be your introduction. I am speaking to you while using the tome as a medium. I am going to tell you some things. Everything that I say I want you to take it to heart and find your own meanings as you grow. The history of the Ra clan is deep. Even before antiquity you will find evidence of our clan. Our clan was made up of eight parts at one point. The head represented water. Adaptive and wise. The five claws represent wind. Warriors swift and sharp. The tail represented the earth. Grounded judgement and solid foundation. Finally the Heart represented by fire. Is the passion and soul of our clan. The will of our people. Each part had their role to play. When all the pieces come together we form a dragon that was unbeatable." As she is speaking the atmosphere was growing heavier from an increased level of pressure. "From the time I came to Turtle Island until about a thousand years ago. Our clan flourished and prospered. Something occurred within the last millennia that has brought our clan to this state on the brink of being whipped out. I can only feel four of you left!" BOOM! She slammed her fist together into her hand. The vibrations from this almost made Zekith pass out. But, he endured. "This crushes my soul and I am powerless to do anything about it..." She paused to calm down. "I've also learned from previous generations that our people even had to sale our priceless artifacts and relics just to survive some years. They even sold the clans most prized possession. The Lightening Sparrow!" THUMP! Zekith's heart beat hard from hearing that word. "It's a Katana. A fantastic blade that resonates with immense power. However, This heirloom is said to have a will of it's own and will choose its wielder. The Lightening Sparrow," THUMP! THUMP! His heart did it again. "is very special to our clan and I want it to return someday. This was the only item I could leave my descendants. As the last member of our Ra clan. I want you to bring the Lightening Sparrow back." THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! Zekith's heart keeps beating really hard when he hears this name. It was like someone or something was calling him. "But, its been lost to history and will be difficult to find. However, I will place my faith in the possibility of you finding it. Our clan has been prestigious throughout history and now our most prized heirloom is nothing more than a decoration on someone's wall." She closed her eyes and an expression of regret could be seen. However, that quickly went away as she got back to business.

"When I came to Turtle Island. We were able to establish our family. Gaining members and we're successful in establishing a clan here in the Light Kingdom. For many years the clan was successful in grooming many high level chi users with a decent number of magi users as well. However, about 1000 years ago something occurred where majority of our family suddenly vanished. For over 900 years I had lost connection with the Ra clan here on Turtle Island. It was during this time in our history that something dire happened. We no longer had generations of strength and even to this day the strongest among you has only reached level seven in chi energy. It is clear that our clans power continues to dwindle." She stopped for a moment again. Then added more pressure to the room. Zekith's skin tingled a little, but it didn't bother him. Ma Hao was looking at him the whole time and shock her head in approval. "Indeed, You are the last of my clan and you have the potential to be something great. I will put my hopes into you. Please find out what happened to our clan and please find the Lightening Sparrow. Leave the tome with Polestra." The image of Ma Hao Ra turned and walked back through the shimmer wall and the pressure in the room vanished. THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! Zekith was now laying on the floor in his room clutching his chest breathing heavily.
