Dragon Devourer System

Note: The main character is male. The novel is written in 3rd person. I never could guess life would be this terrifying. In the past, I was a high-ranked adventurer looking for riches and fame, fulfilling every request of the Adventurer's Guild and gaining a substantial prestige. I still remember the old legends from my hometown, the legends of dragons, absolute beings who even the gods fear. And now, it seems I somehow got reincarnated into a dragon. ------------------------------------------------------------- The artwork does not belong to me and if anyone knows the artists of this work, please let me know and I will credit them. Silver vs Purple (1)

"Little One, take your sister and run away as far as you can. Find the exit and go back to the forest." Suddenly feeling the claw of the Old Dragon moving, the Old Dragon threw him and the female baby dragon to the ground.

"Remember, Little One, your family is waiting for you and your sister in Emperor Peak."

With these last words, the Old Dragon unleashed all the power he had been concealing and dashed toward the Impaler of Gods.

The Empress came to a halt, showing an expression of surprise on her face, as the silver dragon charged at him, unleashing all his power. She stood calmly in her place, not worried at the slightest.

She had defeated many enemies and killed many dragons and Gods during the Grand War. Killing one more dragon was just a stroll in the park for her.

The silver dragon raised his claw with a quick movement, and a massive claw formed by a silver aura appeared in the air, rushing toward the human woman. The claw was 50 meters long and sharp enough to break the air in its path.

The corpses surrounding the Elder Dragon were pulverized by the immense pressure of the silver claws, and the skeletons in the path toward the woman were quickly turned into ashes, unable to withstand the might of the elders of the dragon's race.

The Empress laughed softly, a confident smile on her beautiful face. She raised one of her seductive legs and decisively stomped the ground with inhuman force, causing several rifts to appear. A purple mist roiled out from the rifts, morphing into bizarre but ferocious creatures.

If the Old Dragon could have been able to see around him while they were in the pitch black Abyss, he would have noticed that the creatures that had appeared were the same as those that had previously surrounded them.

Except that this time, each of one of them was bigger in size and wore a murderer grin on their face, their many eyes glowing red. They charged without hesitation or fear toward the silver claw, which was only a dozen meters away from the Impaler of Gods.

When the bizarre purple spirits came into contact with the silver claw, an intense silver light shone, followed by a massive explosion. The dust from the ground and the ashes of the corpses filled the air, concealing the figure of the Empress.

The Old Dragon, aware of the low visibility, increased the external output of his aura, causing the ground to turn silver. He had created a silvery domain around him, which allowed him to be stronger and to detect sneak attacks more quickly.

He was proud of his race, as only Elder Dragons possessed the talent to use their natural affinity for magic to affect and manipulate the surroundings, resulting in the creation of magical domains.

Even though the Old Dragon did not know, the human race also possessed a similar ability, but only the most powerful and high leveled individuals could use a domain. Their domain was also more basic and crude, as they lacked the dragon race's magical mastery.

After a few seconds, the dust settled and the Old Dragon could see the battlefield once again. However, the Impaler of Gods and her spirits were nowhere to be seen. The dragon doubted that such an attack could kill her. At most, it could only cause some minor damage to her.

'She summoned the purple spirits and made them charge toward the claw. They were most likely killed, but they also neutralized my Silver Claw. But where has the Empress gone?' The Old Dragon pondered while looking around for the Empress's new position.

Suddenly, a thunderous rumble echoed across the battlefield, causing the ground to tremble and destroying even more ancient corpses.

At this, the silver dragon rushed up into the sky, providing him with a better view of the area. He was ready to defend himself against the woman's unknown attack.

Amidst the earthquake, countless fissures appeared on the ground, emanating an intense and thick purple fog from which purple spirits began to form. The entire battlefield came to life in a matter of seconds, with an army of thousands of spirits staring at the flying dragon.

Fortunately, when Jacob heard the Old Dragon's words, he grabbed his sister in his mouth and ran away as fast as he could. He did not want to be near the fight, as his death and subsequent rebirth had taught him to value his life more than when he was a human.

This was the only reason he was still alive. He kept running toward a corner of the battlefield, completely ignored by the seductive woman. Although, perhaps the real reason was the female baby dragon he was carrying in his mouth. It was a mystery.

"Did you know I did not have this kind of power during the Grand War?" An ethereal, seductive voice echoed across the battlefield. "It is as if the fallen soldiers, my brothers and sisters, are still lending me their strength to fight the Gods. I shall not let you down…

"The Purple Army! The pride of the Empire, my pride! It is time for you to show this winged lizard what it means to fight against Fate!"

The purple spirits' eyes turned red as they heard the War Cry and turned to face the dragon flying above them. As if they also had wings, all of them dashed toward the dragon at the same time. From a distance, it appeared to be a massive purple swarm attempting to engulf a silver light.

The Old Dragon did not wait for the spirits to arrive, casting spell after spell, radiating a silvery light from his body. Each time he finished casting a spell, the silvery light would leave his body and fly up to the sky, transforming into enormous swords.

After a brief moment, a large amount of various human weapons appeared and covered the sky. One could see spears and swords of different shapes, but all of them were massive and shone with a metallic sharpness.

The dragon's face twisted as he cast so many spells. He had kept his domain active in order to be able to deal with any enemy who came too close, and maintaining it was very mana consuming.

Together with the weapons he had conjured, he was gradually draining all of his mana.
