Prologue

Three thousand years ago, a war between humans and dragons erupted. A black and gold dragon would choose a rider and together they would become known as the Dragon Booster and the Dragon of Legend. Nowadays, humans control dragons and use them for extreme racing. Tension is once again brewing, and history is about to repeat itself.

The Dragon of Legend has been rebred into existence and has chosen a new Dragon Booster to fight the new war. Artha Penn, the original Dragon Booster, was accepted by the Racing Academy along with Mordred Payne. He needed to be allowed to continue his training as a Dragon Booster. But, if the Academy discovered that Artha was the original Dragon Booster, they would expel him. Artha is of average height, squarely built, and has round shoulders. He has blue eyes and peach skin, and his hair has a blue tint with black and a few small streaks of white hair. His Dragon of Legend is named Beau. Beau has the unique ability to change the color of his scales and other skills. Artha has a younger brother named Lance. Lance has blue eyes, freckled skin, and short red hair with straight-edge bangs. He rides a blue and yellow dragon named Fraction. Their father, Conner, was raised and trained by a Dragon Priest. The Dragon Priests told Conner of Legend, which inspired him to breed gold dragons into existence. His dragon is upright with four arms and extremely tall. When fighting, Connor puts on a dragon priest outfit and is called Mortis. The friends of the Penn family are Kit Won and Parmon Sean.

Kit Won was a street racer with an upright red dragon named Wildfire. Kit Won had green eyes, short blue hair with a little ponytail, and a pink hairpiece with a green jewel. Parmon Sean is a brilliant man that rides a massive green dragon named Cereno. Parmon has brown skin, brown eyes, red hair, and a goatee in the shape of a "T." Parmon is also the Green Booster. He has the gauntlet, but the amulet is lost. Spratt is their best friend of Lance. He has tan skin, dark forest green hair, and grey eyes. He doesn't ride a dragon yet.

The rival of Artha Penn, Mordred Payne, was the Shadow Booster and rode a purple and grey dragon named Deception. He was the leader of a down-city crew on the Council of Twelve. He had grey eyes, pale skin, and a unibrow. When Mordred became the Shadow Booster, he was influenced by an ancient evil called Armageddon. Armageddon was the one that started the first dragon-human war and commanded his dragons, known as the League of Eight. Somehow, he survived for three thousand years and is ready to start another war. Mordred Payne's right-hand man named Cain. Cain recorded a dragon remarkably similar to Mordred's but with more grey and titled Coercion.

Cain has brown skin. He has brown eyes, brown dreadlock hair, a beard, and a black dragon eye tattoo in the middle of his forehead. Word Payne is the father of Mordred and the enemy of Conner Penn. Word was raised and trained by a dragon priest during the same time as Connor but was banished for building illegal battle gear. He believes that the dragons were created after the war and wants another war for him to be on top. Word also had armor that he wore when fighting but was darker and wasn't a priest outfit. The dragon he rides resembles a triceratop. The relationship between father and son was an uneasy one. Word has his son stealing dragons for most of his life. He sent his son to a failed attempt to take Beau, which is how it all started. Word has come nearly succeeded several times in starting a war. But lately, Mordred's morality has been questioned by what he knows if he is wrong rather than right. As history is about to repeat itself, the future holds many surprises.
