Chapter 3: First mission and training.

'I think I know what I need to do in the long run this is the best decision and if I had to go into the wild with nothing then a dinosaur or something would probably eat me.'

I lower my head slightly and start saying.

"I have decided to stay here and learn martial arts under you."

"Is that so, then call me master Shen, I will teach you everything that I know about martial arts and the fighting style of the crane school. One more thing, you still haven't told me your name boy," Master Shen said putting a lot of emphasis on the word boy

"My name is Ketsu Dan master Shen. Now where am I gonna sleep and when will you start teaching me," I replied.

"Ah yes your living arrangements, Ichiro lead Ketsu here to Ren's old room that useless buffoon won't be needing it anymore or anything for a matter of fact," Shen said whilst gesturing to the body.

"Your training will begin tomorrow at dawn be prepared because if you fail to live up to my standards… There will be consequences

I walk into the training room and I see master Shen sitting down when he sees me he stands up and starts to explain some things to me.

"Ketsu, during the night you must have been wondering what that immense power that I displayed yesterday was, well it is a power known as ki. Ki is the energy within every living being it is essentially life force and when brought out and manifested can be used for many powerful techniques with it you will stand far above other humans who haven't learned of it their are of course several people who can use it though. It is one of the many things that you will learn as my disciple but to learn to truly harness your ki you must have physical strength so for the next month you will undergo intense strength training," Master Shen explained to me.

'So before I learn ki I have to train my physical strength huh, this is something I expected and it is probably why Roshi made Goku and Krillin do all those insanely intense exercises. These next few months of training may be hell since I've never trained at the intensity of a martial artist but it is needed if I want to survive in this blasted universe,'

"I understand what ki is now master Shen but what type of physical training will you have me doing."

Master Shen had the smallest smirk on his face when he said. "Run five kilometres on the treadmill to the right as a warmup then you will start bench pressing thirty kilos in weight until I tell you to stop and after that I expect you to do two hundred squats followed by one hundred sit ups once you have completed all of those you will start doing a five minute plank and once you rare done you will have an ice bath and eat a meal from a dietary plan that will ensure you get the perfect amount of nutrients after that you will have some time to yourself and you will go to sleep when I tell you to for other health reasons and we will do this every day until you are comfortable doing this then we will increase the intensity."

'How the fuck am I meant to do all that! I thought that this would be rigorous but this is next level! No wonder Tien was equal to Goku who was a saiyan, at least with this training I will be able to grow a lot stronger.'

I walk over to the treadmill and begin what would end up being the foundation of my strength.

'I knew that this kid had a lot of ki but he's physically talented as well. Not even Tien could make it through the workout this quickly when he started! In just two months he will be ready for ki training,' I thought as I saw my new apprentice finishing up his two hundred squats and starting his one hundred sit ups.'

'He reminds me of Tien… Ah yes that traitorous disciple of mine along with chiaotzu they betrayed my teachings after that monkey boy defeated Tien and joined that bastard Roshi well they will learn the consequences of betraying me and I will show them and Roshi and his monkey boy student with Ketsu, I will train him to destroy them all.'

-(two months time skip)-

'I have grown a lot stronger in these two months, I can do all those exercise that I was dreading with ease and I took them much farther than the beginning amount.

I can easily defeat five of the robbers at the same time. Right now I would put myself at the level of Yamcha during the twenty first world martial arts tournament.

Today is the day that I will start learning Ki from Master Shen because he said my body was finally strong enough to start learning Ki.

"Master Shen I'm ready to begin training," Master Shen was sitting down with his legs crossed on the ground of the training room.

"Ketsu, remember what I told you at the beginning of your physical training if you fail to live up to my standards there will be consequences. Now sit down and copy my form."

I listen to his warning and sit down the way he is with my legs cross then I look at him waiting for him to continue.

"Now put your hands in a triangular form and close your eyes, start visualising a power coming from deep inside your body forming in between your hands make sure to keep your mind calm and keep focus," Master Shen guided me.

"Heh heh heh you can open your eyes now my student, no wonder you are my student to think that you managed to tap into your Ki so quickly and your Ki is incredibly powerful for someone who has just awakened it as well you truly are a genius."

I open my eyes and I see a bright yellow light coming from my hands, I can feel it with my entire being. I also feel stronger than before a lot stronger maybe fifty percent stronger than before.

'This is it! I have finally unlocked the power that will help me rise to becoming one of the top powers In the universe, Ki but this is only the beginning.'

"Master I feel so much more powerful now like I can do anything and everything l want," I tell my teacher.

"Don't get ahead of yourself my student I could still defeat you with ease and several other people could as well but I believe it is time for your first mission."

"There is a famous movie star and martial artist by the name of Pamput he was in the 22nd world martial arts tournament and he is rich he lives at number thirteen fountains place. I want you to go with a few of the thieves and rob him blind, he should be no match for you but still take the robbers because it will make robbing the place easier," Master Shen explained the mission to me.

'Pamput huh, from what I remember in the anime he managed to break a wall by elbowing it but Goku finished him with just three hits so he'll be easy to take out. This seems like a nice and easy first mission if I'm being honest.'

"The mission will be completed by nightfall master," I bow my head slightly and start to leave the room but before I do Master Shen says one thing.

"Just like all the training you do if the mission is not completed to my standards then there will be consequences," I nod my head showing that I heard him and walk out of the training room.

I walk into the thieves personal quarters and command a few of them to come with me and they do because I'm their bosses disciple I'm higher than them on the pecking order I have also beaten a few of them up for training so that helps as well. "You lot, you're coming with me to rob this rich guy bring one of the van keys and your guns."

The robbers get armed up and ready and one of them brings the keys to one of the vans and I decide to driver us down to Pamput's mansion.

"This should be easy as long as none of you mess this up, and if one of you does mess this up then you'll have your boss to hear from," I say to the robbers before we leave the van and go up to Pamput's mansion.

I break down the front gates to the mansion with a single punch and we start moving in we're stopped by a few security guards before we can actually enter the mansion.

"Hey you can't be here this is private property and if you don't leave-," he was cut off by a punch to the temple that knocked him out cold.

I quickly do the same to the other knocking them out in similar ways. We finally made it to the front door of the property where I just kicked it down.

"Hey what's all that noise I'm trying to read over a contra-," He notices us and stops mid conversation, "Hey you can't just break into my mansion do you know who I am I've won two martial arts tournaments and I'm an actor."

"Yes I do know who you are Tamput and I don't give a shit now hand over everything valuable in this place, or else."

"Well to bad for you that I have an emergency button that will immediately call the police and I'm one of their big investors so they'll make sure to send some extra officers to catch you," Tamput starts taking the button out of his pocket and I realise I need to make a decision.

'If he presses that button and the police come before we can steal everything then master Shen will show me what he means by consequences when I get back to base but the only way for me to stop Tamput would be to tackle him so fast he drops the button but if I tackled him that fast he would end up severely injured or dead and I don't know if I can just kill someone like that, I need to make a decision but I just can't decide.'

Option A: Risk killing Tamput to stop the police from showing up and ruining the operation.

Option B: Let Tamput press the button and risk the police showing up early to arrest you.

Sorry about writing the dreaded training chapter but it had to happen eventually and I think the mission at the end made up for it.
