Striking the nail

The logbook was...interesting. I of course saved the data from it and I gained a little knowledge about Tien's origins. At least his ancestor's origins, it might be useful to get closer to him in the future. He is such a straight laced guy its hard to be...formal with him. Goku had formed a bond with him through the connection of their masters and the trail between Tien's morality. Otherwise I actually don't think Tien would ever become friends with Goku. More just acquaintances like Tien and Piccolo.

Anyway heading the mountain I landed near the forest line. I came up on Chi-Chi talking to the lady. It was just before Chi-Chi sweeps the forest. Ultimately discovering the Bansho fan. However Chi-Chi was taking a break and drinking some lemonade. I was coming up behind them, but their conversation was something to eavesdrop on.

"Well, its not like I no longer want to become a house wife. Not to mention Goku is a great and pure-hearted person."

"Hmmm, I know I said I would listen, but if you expect me to ask what's wrong I'm not gonna."

"Well...Fine, anyway Z is well...I guess he is good, and I do legitimately like learning about ki from him. However between him and Goku honestly I think I expected Goku to be more like Z. Well not exactly... but Goku didn't even know what Marriage was! Z while being smart and pretty centered on whatever his actually goal is. Except he is, well, he is clearly after my body. So what am I to do?"

I figured this was a decent time to show up, and more importantly solidify some things. "Well, let's be real here. You could always ask Goku to train you, but that won't end well with your relationship."

"Well Well...Looks like your friend was eavesdropping."

"UGHH! YOU!" I patted Chi-Chi's head. "Don't worry about it, I won't deny your statements or something. Besides, I think it should be taken as a compliment that you think learning about ki from me is fun."

Her face was very red, but she calmed down as I patted her head. She however grabbed my hand and tried to push it away. "Stop touching me."

"Fine Fine. Anyway...Uhhh, Octogon lady? Can we get a jar of honey from your bees. I would also personally like a few bees to create a colony."

"Yeah i can do that for ya. Just never comeback. I really don't want to listen to the misses problems anymore."

"Fine, I'm also taking your Dust pan."

"Eh, whatever."

"Fine then..."

"Meh." The old lady hen walked off, I liked her a real hermit personality. Anyway, time to deal with Chi-Chi. "Okay so, I just wanna make something clear, since personally I think you have greater potential than what you have. Goku has brain damage like actually brain damage. Nothing against the guy, but normally his species kind of sucks. The only reason he is so pure is because he has brain damage. He won't love you like you expect him to and at most you can get him to create a kid with you. Other than that, you would be a single mom constantly living off either your father's broken fortune or few earned pay checks. By the way I say broken because just so you know their is a fire currently burning down your family home."

"I-uh..."

"So, I want you to think about that. I'll immediately admit, I'm not that pure of heart, but I'm not all that bad. Now, imma get those bees and honey and let's head to the mountain of five elements and what not."

"S-Sure, you...I'll be thinking to myself."

I had put a nail in to Chi-Chi's relationships. How she react now is entirely up to her. However this was the best time to put it. If I wanted Chi-Chi, I had to break her relationship with Goku. I drove a wedge during the tournament. Now it had been struck once. Soon, I'll strike it again. However Chi-Chi would need to come to her own conclusion first.

I walked inside to where the granny was. "Ah just walking into my home now?"

"Eh, She's allowed in, but I'm not. That's rough."

"Yeah well I heard what you said. Personally I think she should do whatever makes her Happy. Like me, I love it up here, no one to disturb me usually. I sell my honey to buy groceries and generally life is easy. If she wants to be a martial artist, she should pursue that. After all, she certainly doesn't seem like one to keep...domesticated."

I wasn't sure if the old lady was saying she was housewife material or that Chi-Chi would totally turn into a banshee as a housewife. I grabbed the honey and a small box, similar to a match box.

"The box as a queen bee and a few extras so you can start a colony. I'm old and eventually my bees will need to be handled. After all I am in old age."

"That's a little dark, but thanks. Really putting a hole in my mood lady."

"Yeah well, get out."

I left the house and watched the old lady close the blinds. Chi-Chi was leaning on a tree. I left her there a little longer as i grabbed the bansho fan. It was leaning up against a tree like Chi-Chi, but it was covered in dust. Humanly magical artifact and it was being used as a dust pan.

"Hey, I got what we needed. Follow me to the mountain. Once we get there we will be challenged so pay attention."

"Huh? Yeah, Yeah. Let's go..."
