Chapter 29: Thought's Amongst the Stars!

Arlic was currently waiting. Waiting in the depths of space for his prey to appear. While he waited, he tinkered with a transparent red force field surrounding his body, this was his armor's [Type-2 Deep Space: Survival Shield]. As the name implied, it could allow for any being that equipped it to easily endure the harsh environment of space. It was a combination of magic and technology based upon the shield he created for the [Transport Disc].

Although Arlic himself had no use for it after the [Cybernetic Augmentation Surgery], he still felt that it was a viable alternative, as opposed to invasive surgery. That is why he was perfecting the technology should he find himself with any spare time. Mid adjustment, Arlic's [Holo-Scouter] detected multiple power signatures to the right of his position. While he could not feel anything with his own abilities, he knew that his prey had arrived and that it brought friends.

Arlic stopped his tinkering as a smirk adorned his face. His subordinates had been right about the vessels projected path; he would have to reward them for that later. For now, Arlic was more interested in the other power signatures. One of them was quite high and may very well pose a challenge. He was getting exited just thinking about it, as the one thing he lacked was experience against strong opponents. That was the main reason he came to [Planet M-2].

Arlic knew that the earlier, more advanced model [Machine Mutants] would be a challenge for his current self. By his calculations, some may even be a threat to his life. So, by his reckoning, he could improve his skills and add a technologically advanced race to his ranks. To top it all off, he was going to take all of Baby's knowledge along with it. Baby was a parasite that could infiltrate and even empower other races. That did not really threaten him or his, but only because he knew about it.

What Arlic considered a threat was the fact that the [King of the Tuffle]s had created other parasites, Baby's siblings to be precise. This made Baby himself a potential wellspring of information, as the series had mentioned nothing of his sibling's whereabouts or abilities for that matter. Arlic's only alternative regarding information being the [Dragon Ball]s, he decided to try capturing Baby first. Though, after seeing the power level of the others aboard the vessel, Arlic began to think that it would not be as easy as he thought it would be.

The highest power level his scanner could detect was >57,000,000. His current power level was only >23,000,000. This would be a tough fight… one that he would revel in. 'Let's start things off with something old-school!', he thought. Raising his left hand, a small, bright white sphere of energy formed above his palm, it was a [Power Ball]! While smiling in anticipation, Arlic tossed the sphere of energy above him, hurtling into the pitch-black void of space.

Traveling about a mile, it expanded into something akin to a new star. This was his improvement upon the Saiyan's [Power Ball]. He called it the [Power Ball Plus]. It would allow for his [Oozaru Form] to last even if the sphere were destroyed. He hoped that it would allow him to achieve this form without the need for outside stimuli. With the increase in [Blutz Waves], Arlic's body began to rapidly change, his armor changing shape with him.

Soon after, a sixty-meter tall [Great Ape] with black fur and shining red eyes stood proudly amongst the stars. Its body adorned with a golden/black waist-guard, two golden/black wrist guards and a pair of golden/black shin high boots. A golden circlet lay upon head, while a large red cloth hung from its waist. The large cloth flowed down to its knees, attached at its waist-guard. Lastly, its body was coated in a dense, dark red energy, which seemed equal parts menacing as it did majestic.

With a terrifying smile, [Great Ape] Arlic opened his mouth, releasing a dark red energy beam of massive proportions towards the oncoming vessel, dyeing the surrounding darkness in a crimson glow that could be seen from hundreds of miles away.
