1 Beginning

In a dark room a man was strapped onto an electric chair, awaiting his execution. Strangely however, his demeanor was quite unfitting of one who was about to die. He happily hummed a song with a smile on his face, seeming to not only fully accept his death, but also be happy about it. There was something deeply unsettling about it, it seemed sadistic, and it sent a chill down the spine of his watchers.

Quickly, the men watching him through a window all flipped a switch in front of them in union. Immediately, a shock was sent through the man's body. Even as the electricity passed through him, the sadistic smile remained on his face, the humming however, turned into gargling. Within seconds, he was dead, laying motionless on the chair.

This however, was not the end for the man, far from it in fact. Normally a man like him would only have damnation ahead of him but he knew a way to avoid that fate. His soul burst out of his body, but before it could be gathered for the God of Judgment, it shot out towards a crack in the universe. Through this crack the man escaped his fate. After drifting through the void of nothingness between universes for a long while the man entered a new universe, being reincarnated to live a new life. This however would not go unnoticed by the gods, and righteous actions would be taken against him.

Thousands of miles away a boy lay in a hospital bed, in his hands was the newest volume of Dragon Ball Super, he read it fervently with a smile on his face. The boy wore only a hospital gown. His face would not be described as handsome nor ugly, it was simply average by all means. His dark, wavy hair was somewhat long, reaching down to his shoulders. This boy was named Isaac Campion, all his life he had been hospitalized. With few friends, Isaac used fiction to cope and forget about his loneliness and sadness. Among the series he loved, Dragon Ball was always his favorite. All his life Isaac wanted to be like the heroes he read about, saving people and going on adventures but his sickly body made it entirely impossible.

As he finished the manga and put it down a bittersweet smile crossed his face, although he enjoyed the book, he knew it would be the last of it he'd ever read. His condition was worsening and, according to the doctors, it would take his life within days. Just as he finished this thought he felt a throng of pain fall over his body, his condition was taking him. Doctors rushed in and as his heart beat slowed down he thought his final thoughts. In his eyes his life was entirely wasted.

"I didn't even get to finish this arc..."

Those were his final words as the device monitoring his heart beat's beeps turned into a buzz and Isaac Campion died. This however, just like for the criminal, was not the end of him. His soul was quickly harvested, but his fate would be much different than most.

Within moments Isaac awoke seated in a pure white room, with a desk in front of him. After a moment an older-looking man walked through a door that suddenly appeared than dissipated. The man dressed very formally with a black suit, a red tie and a fairly nice watch. His grey hair was lengthy, reaching down to his back. Immediately the man seated himself at the desk and began looking through some papers on it. While still holding up some papers, the man spoke.

"Isaac Campion, at the age of 16 you experienced a heart attack which sadly took your life."

He had a calming, almost fatherly tone which Isaac quite liked.

"However, I come with good news."

A warm smile spread across his face.

"You see, a soul recently escaped from our universe, a very evil soul. This soul has likely already reincarnated a new body in a new universe. So, while we can't do much to intercede on other universes, we can send a soul to it, that's where you come in, from thousands of others we have deemed you most fit to take on this mission due to your immense knowledge regarding it and personality."

Isaac sat shocked from this information, quickly however, that shock turned into excitement, he had an idea about what universe he was talking about.

Suddenly a bright blue light began spreading throughout his body, or rather his soul.

"Good luck on your mission, while I cannot intercede much for you, I will do what I can."

The man gave one more warm smile and before Isaac could respond to this new mission he was overtaken by the blue light and shot forward to his new destination, the Dragon Ball universe.
