1 The Sacrifice

It was just a normal day for me, that was until shit went wrong in the most possible way. My name is Charlie Diaz, I was an Biracial 24 year old living in modern day Georgia in in the year 2024. Didn't like doing things just because other people was doing it , I am a leader not a follower.I'm not like most people that lived in America. Favorite thing to do was watching anime and reading different light novels and fan-fiction. But the one thing that makes me different than most is that i didn't judge people for information told by others.

Meaning that I'm the type that thought that you can't judge people you don't know , when "You are on the outside looking in". I don't believe in any one religion, I believe in many information from religious beliefs. For example , I believe in the Bible that God created everything from the heavens to the earth. But not that god just created humanity and just stoped, I believe that he went on to create even more beautiful things. Reincarnation to me is the life after death but only it you have done good while you were alive.

I got out of the bed early in the morning and turned on the tv, and then turned the channel to CNN news. President Biden had just lost his second presidential election between him and Donald trump. While some people we're celebrating his win i was silent, but what I was thinking is "Well it's probably gonna be all down hill from here.and right i was, you see during Donald trumps first election he did basically nothing for the people. When police were killing innocent black people he just sat back and watched. This wasn't Just all of a sudden happening now this has been happening for a while and try to just sit back and watch it unfold.

It has been a few months since Trump got elected and Racial tension in America was getting even worse. We were starting to Have armed mobs killing police that were constantly shooting down innocent people. I had just got off work and was driving home but saw a police holding a black teen from my neighborhood at gun- point. I knew he was going to shoot the kid , I just had a gut feeling it was coming. So after I got out of my car I ran full speed towards them , but I was too late. The cop had already pulled the trigger, but before the bullet could hit the teen I had jumped in the way of it to save him.

As I got hit I felt like time was slowing down until I hit the ground, the kid immediately leaned down and said'Why why would you sacrifice your life for me''.I looked up at him and say Kid I have enjoyed good things in my life and you are too young to die. By the time I had said that I was coughing up some blood and my Vison was getting blurry. So we're laying my head to look the kid in the eyes and said,''You need to live your life and not let my sacrifice be in vain. when I sad that Darkness is Close my hand fast and after two seconds I saw no more.
