Just Say Yes

While driving around in the truck Byo got rather bored. The distance they were going to drive was rather far.

But that was to be expected since they would travel rather far around the globe. So at some point, he started to yawn really hard and his tail wiggled around in rhythm to his yawn.

Just at that moment it breezed near Launch her hair and disheveled a few strands from it.

"A--A-Achoo!!" Launch suddenly sneezed.

´Oh crap!´ Byo immediately looked over to the now blond-haired woman sitting in the driver's seat. She was staring with her emerald eyes at his tail and was at first surprised. But right after she frowned and just grabbed it forcefully.

"Wait! Do.....Urgh....!" Suddenly an immense electric shock traveled through his spine and he seemed to lose nearly all his strength and went limp. With a hard thumb, he hit his head at the front board.

"Who the hell are you!!?", shouted the blonde Launch and still squeezed the tail.

Byo could barely hear what she was saying and only groaned in an inaudible voice.

Launch only snorted and flicked his tail over his body. Soon Byo regained somewhat of his strength and looked rather annoyed at Launch. There was even a clear angry vain showing itself at his temple.

"Did you really have to grab my tail!?", asked Byo instead of answering her question.

Because Byo reacted rather angrily Launch just took out a submachine gun and looked now menacingly at him. "Who, are, you?"

Byo out of habit raised his hands up. "Whoa there. No need to be unreasonable, right?" When Byo thought about his short outburst just now he did wonder why he reacted so angry.

Then his mind started to think about how to explain himself. Clearly, this personality didn't know him and was rather confused that he was inside her car.

Suddenly Byo had a certain mischievous thought. "I am your...no...I should rather say your other half´s boyfriend..."

"Huh!?" Launch raised a brow and stared at him. "Then why is it that I only saw you now?"

"I don't know? Well, maybe it does explain why you always disappeared from time to time. Guess you changed and didn't bother about me...But now that we are in the same vehicle it was unavoidable?" Byo just made some shit up and wondered how Roshi and the others handled her.

"Hmmmmmm" Suddenly Launch started to stare at him and looked him up and down. She even grabbed his shirt and lifted it up. "Damn it...Guess I have lost the race against my other half, tsk."

´Wait....Did she really believe me now?´, thought Byo in his head.

"Do you mean you already got another boyfriend as well? Should I consider that cheating then?" Byo made a somewhat questioning expression.

"No! I am not like that! I just didn't know I was already taken...Besides I don't have anyone." Then she stared at the road while putting away her gun. Suddenly she started to grit her teeth and scratch her head furiously. "Graaah this is infuriating!! You better be worth it! And if you dare do anything funny to either me or my other half I will castrate you!!"

´Huh?´ Maybe Byo did go overboard there and actually got himself into a rather weird position.

"Anyway, where were we headed to?", she asked now after a sigh.

"...You were planning on bringing me to your friend's home where we could get rid of these gunshot wounds...Does that remind you of something?"

Launch looked over at him. "Right, I did notice your wounds. Yeah, I know exactly what my other half meant. But why did you get those in the first place? I don't remember my other half getting into trouble at all."

"It was me that was getting into trouble actually...But from the change in your personality, I do get that you are a lot more...freedom-seeking?"

"Hmpf, I am at least not someone that wants to stay at that geezers home just to cook for him. That perverted bastard is just taking advantage of my other self...Wait, are you doing something like that to me as well!?"

Suddenly small drops of sweat ran down his forehead. "I would never! How could I mistreat such a kind-hearted beauty?", smiled Byo.

Launch just squinted her eyes. "You know I am a lot different than her....Why is it everyone likes my other self more..." Somehow Launch was now puffing her cheeks and looking back at the road.

Byo suddenly raised both his eyebrows in surprise. Looking at her he saw that she was rather jealous of herself? How should he react to that?

"Hey, I only met this changed you today but I don't think you are so much worse than your other half..."

"Then tell me why is it that the one I tried to have a relationship always ran away from me?" Suddenly Launch was rather pissed again.

"Maybe it has something to do with your way of living? What exactly are you doing?"

"Hmm, robbing banks, searching for old lost treasures and stuff I guess. I already got a lot of money stashed, hehe" Just thinking about it raised her mood. "Ah, don't think I will tell you its location!"

"I see....As I thought you are a very free-spirited individual for sure." Just what did Byo get himself into. In a sense, he didn't bother about living a criminal life like that and it sounded rather fun.

It was somehow just like Bonny and Clyde. Of course, he hoped they wouldn't die while being shot to cheese at some point.

"Well, then shouldn't you be happy that you know that you have someone you can rely on now?"

"Hmm, you don't think it is bad to do such things?", she asked now. Most of her friends tried to stop her doing the things she liked. She did even settle somewhat after meeting Tien. But now she saw this guy in front of her who was saying he was her boyfriend and seemed to not bother about her activities.

"Being a bad girl is kinda hot? I don't bother about it that much. Maybe I could join you on one of those heists."

Launch smiled at his words. "Huh, you are not half bad. At least you are a smooth talker. It makes me wonder if you just went ahead and confessed to my other half."

Byo suddenly imagined himself just telling the other Launch that he loved her and a clear blush appeared on his face. Nope, he didn't think he could just do that. Weirdly enough he could imagine himself joking with this Launch but doing so with the other Launch would be embarrassing.

Launch noticed that and didn't know what to say. She just looked back forward and just remained silent.

Well, in the end, his joke kinda misfired...or did it? Maybe it was his masterplan. At least he was not shot by her and that accounted to a lot.

"We should change to a plane in the next town. Otherwise, this trip will take too long.", said Launch.
