The Temptation of Treasure

Leo left the mercenary council hall and returned to the bustling mercenary reception center hall. It was almost evening, but the center was still crowded with mercenaries selecting missions and returning from completed tasks.

Leo walked straight out and onto the square in front of the reception desk. This was a gathering place for mercenaries who had already received their missions. They formed groups of two or three and prepared to go and complete the missions.

The difficulty of missions varied according to the level of the mercenary. Only those of the corresponding level could accept the corresponding level of mission. However, mercenaries could also publish their own missions as long as the rewards were lucrative enough to attract those with an adventurous spirit.
