See What There is to See

Brenton lead Treasca to the Seers Pool. His grandmother had been a great Oracle, and constructed the pool long before he was even a thought. He had Treasca stand on one side of the mirrored pool then he walked to the other trailing his fingers through the water. The pool began to ripple, then settled on the image of a group of Travelers. There was no sound, but he could tell the woman who he guessed was Treasca's mother was sobbing into a large man's chest. They where packing their horses and wagons all looking very solemn. The City Guard stood around watching them warily. The big man who looked to be the Traveler's cheif was arguing with the Captain. The Captain barked silent orders, and the guards drew their swords. The big man held up his hands for peace obviously saying they would go. Brenton wondered why their was so much hostility had they decided if the Traveler's found Treasca there would be trouble. He glanced up at her face and felt his heart lurch. There where huge tears rolling down her face. He ran his hand over the water again, and it became nothing more than a mirror once more.

Treasca was looking at him a look of pure hatred on her face.
