Fights and Fairies

Treasca fell hard to the ground, it was if the snake like creature had tackled Thalon. Her head throbbed, but she managed to stay conscious there was snarling and snapping of huge jaws. Treasca dragged herself away from the fighting monsters heart racing like a bird beating against a cage. She turned to look over her shoulder, and Thalon stood looming over Delyn. Fury was hot pulsing from them both like a fire that was trying to consume them all. Treasca got to her feet, and adrenalin swam through her veins that fight or flight that all creatures have deep inside. She turned and ran so fast tree branches scratched her face and arms. She used her arms to protect herself as she plunged through them heading towards the cave Neal had told her about. She had to get there before they caught her, she just had to! She saw it finally she had been closer than she thought, or time had gotten away from her either way relief washed over her like cool water. A man stood near the cave looking at her surprised.

"What are you doing out here dear one?" He said taking in her scratches, and her pale haunted face. " What chases you like a rabbit to the burrow?"

"Dragons." She breathed and fainted from shock.

Treasca woke slowly the bed she was on was on rustled as she tried to sit up like a bed of leaves. Her eyes widened as she realized she really wasn't that far off. It was if flowers had grown to form a four poster bed around her. The bed was in the middle of a clearing of trees. Butterflies and birds flew around singing, and nibbling at the flowers. Treasca looked around at the beauty around her, and was very content. No, that wasn't right why would she be waking in a strange place alone she should have been afraid or at least cautious. Suddenly she heard singing getting closer, it was a very beautiful song, but the language was unfamiliar to her. It flowed like honey in her ears, and she swayed to it unable to stop herself. A woman who looked as if she could be her twin came into view. She kneeled next to her then brushed her forehead with soft lips.

"We have been expecting you much sooner dear daughter." She said voice like honey. Treasca's eyes glazed over, and she nodded.
