Treasca looked at Brenton like he had lost his mind. She figured he was a bit off being that old had to have taken its toll. He seemed to realize that he sounded nuts because he continued hastily.

"Well cuckoos will find nests of other birds, and push out their eggs, and lay their own eggs in the nest. Well the unsuspecting birds will think that the babies are their own and care for them until they fly the nest."

"So you are saying something super natural replaced the baby my parents had." Treasca said warily. It was utterly ridiculous. She snorted and turned her back on him to leave. He was just desperate to reel her in with his lies.

"You will just humor me. If it turns out I am wrong I will make you a deal. If after a year I have not proven to you that what I say is true I will let you go free." He said eyes never leaving hers. Treasca considered him unblinking then nodded. She was confident she was indeed human. She would agree to his tests.

"Good. For now I will simply expand on your magical training. It will be good to see where your strengths lie I have not come across a member of the Fae in many years..."

"Hang on just a moment," Treasca interrupted, " You think I am a FAIRY!" She practically yelled the last word.
