Ch. 1 High school

I woke up early with a yawn as I turned off my alarm clock. I quickly picked out what to wear and got all my stuff together. "June darning there's no rush," my mother said as I when to the kitchen. I smiled, I'm just excited. My mother smiled at me, "Then I'll let you be on." She then puts a lunchbox on the table. Awe mom you didn't have to make my lunch, I said as I smiled. "Hehe just this once," she said chuckling. I put it in my bag as I quickly ate breakfast. As I finished I headed to the door. Bye mom, I said waving at her opening the door. My mother waved as I closed the door behind me. "Well well well you must be excited for this year," a girl said waiting at my house. I smiled as I walked to her, Of course I am Sapphire. She chuckled, "Is it about the boy again." H-hey, I said embarrassed. Sapphire shocked her head, "And of course it's about him." S-stop teasing me, I said stuttering in embarrassment. Sapphire laughed softly, "I can't help it, it's just so adorable." I crossed my arms, He is only of by best friends I don't want to break that. "He could feel the same for you," Sapphire said giving me a little of hope. We then heard someone running towards us. Huh, I said as I turned around. "Ah Zera you came," Sapphire said with a kind of a surprise tone. "Of- of course I-I am," she said out of breath as she stops in front of us. I chuckled, You probably almost forgot we had school. "Yea I did," Zera said admitting it. We continued to walk to school. We walked into school. There wasn't that much people which is good. I didn't want this place to be crowd. "Hmmm we could sit down at one of the table until the others are here," Sapphire suggested. I guess, I said agreeing. We sat at the table talking about our classes for awhile until 2 boys walked up at the table. "Ah Deven and Alex you made it," Zera said. "Speak for yourself," Deven said. I chuckled softly as Zera nudges me. "Did you interrupted a important conversation," Alex said softly chuckling. "Of course not we are just talking about our class," Sapphire said. "Ooooh really here give me your schedule," Deven said already taking Sapphire schedule. "Why ask if your just going to take it," Sapphire said annoyed. Deven just started to look at her schedule and his. "So have you girls heard anything from Lily, Moonlight, and Chris," Alex asked. Lily said she will come before class start and Moonlight is busy with some kind of class meeting, I said. "And Chris probably will come late," Alex guessed. I smiled and nodded, Yep. "And you said I was lazy," Zera said crossing her arms. "Tsk you stay up all night to play video games," Sapphire interrupted. "Ah I see," Deven said as he gives Sapphire and Zera there schedules back. I smiled, so what did you all do all summer. "Pfft is that really a question, I when to visit some family members and of course when shopping a little," Sapphire said. Sounds like you had a great time, I responded. "Heh I got to play so amazing games-," Zera said before she was interrupted. "Yea we don't need to hear your love of video games," Deven said. "Hey it's rude to interrupt," Zera yelled out. "Well just because you like it doesn't mean everyone does," Deven yelled back. "Okay okay we get it," Alex said calming them both. I chuckled looking at Alex. "Huh your taking swimming?" Alex said surprised. Oh shoot he's looking at my schedule. "Oh really," Chris said. I stood there blankly. "Oh seems like we have three classes together," Alex said chuckling. Huh which classes, I asked. "Swimming, Chemistry and Math," he answered. "Pfft lucky to have the smart one in math," Zera said. And you just want to copy my paper, I answered. She's sighed admitting it as I softly laughed. "Hmmm but why swimming you can't even-," Sapphire said as I closed her mouth. And enough talking sapphire, I said. She's probably the only one who knew I couldn't swim. When I was a child I when to swim in the pool and nearly drowned and I was scared of going deeper in the water. I just wanted to face the fear. We all talked for a bit. "Oh I should get going," Alex said. So soon, I said sadly. "Sorry June," he said leaving. I could see Chris follower to as I sighed. "It's so obvious," Sapphire said. H-hey stop, I said slightly pushing her. "Hehe she's always nervous around Alex," Zera added. Whatever, I said turning away from them softly blushing. "We'll stop," Sapphire said chuckling. The bell then rings. "Oh darn," Zera said. We could meet up later, I said getting up. "Yep see you two later then," Sapphire said getting up. We then when our separate ways. I when to my first class English. I sat down at a seat waiting for everyone else to come in. "H-hey," a boy said nervously. Hello, I said. He then sat next to me. "I'm new at the school," he said fiddling with his hands. Oh really where you come from, I asked. "I come from the Southeast schools," he answered. Wow you must be smart, I said. He rubbed his arms, "Yeah I am," he said nervously with a smile. I'm June and you are, I asked. "Oh I'm Magi nice to meet you," he said. I smiled nodding. As class when on I told him a little about this school before class started to end. Hey would you like to hang out with my friends and I at lunch, I offered to Magi. "Oh really," he said. I nodded, I'm sure they don't mind. "Oh sure where will you guys be meeting," he asked. I'll come get you in front of the library, I said. "Okay I'll see ya then," he said. We both collected our stuff and walked off to our other class. My next class was Chemistry I sat by the window as everyone walked in I sat there waiting for Alex to come in. He walked in and sat next to me. "How was your last class," he asked. It was fine I did meet someone new, I answered. "Oh that's great," he said. What did you do over the summer, I said trying to start a conversation. "Heh besides spending it with you pretty much just when to some places with my family," he said with a slight smile. I admired him for a second getting back to reality. A-ah right, I said after he finished talking. "Haha did you forget," he said chuckling. I scratched my head slightly, n-no of course not. I blushed slightly thinking back. Alex would always take care of me. He would always pick me in teams even if I wasn't good. I don't know how he feels about me. I really hope he feels the same. I clench my fist softly as class started. If I don't tell him will I regret it?...
