37 Lingering Regrets

Vlad returned to the allotted quarters by the military at evening after he was notified about his training regime by Rheagar and Ethan.

At the quarters, Vlad found Marcellus who had just returned from his duty.

After an hour passed and the mood was settled, Vlad informed his uncle that he will be training at Ground Zero and joining Blood Hounds.

"This is unacceptable! 

First, you wanted to join the Military despite my misgivings and now you want to join some murderous squad of deadly assassins?!

Have you gone mad, Vlad?!" bellowed Marcel in anger.

Vlad tried to explain his reasoning but his godfather was in no mood for listening his words.

Marcel took a deep breath as his eyes turned emotional and he grabbed Vlad with both his arms.

"Listen to me… You and I are the only people left from our hometown. Everyone else is dead and I'm the one who is to blame.
