An hour later, Elena finally regained consciousness. upon opening her eyes, she saw a vampire with long silver hair and brilliant blue eyes staring straight at her as if peering deep into her soul.

"Who are you? where am I?" She asked with a confused look on her face. "Hnm, is that how you vampires say thank you in zastlevania?" Aidris answered with a question of his own.

Only after hearing his response did elena think back to what had happened before she lost consciousness.

she remembered fighting with Sammy in the alleyway, and then she also remembered biting into something or someone and drawing out blood in the process.

Instinctively, she rubbed her finger along her lips. Aidris eyebrow shut up. "Em, Em... my guess is you saved me back in the alleyway. Thanks for saving my life."

Aidris: "Why do you engage in a battle you are sure to lose out on?

Elena: What was I supposed to do run away?

Aidris: So your genius plan is to fight with an opponent who could very well kill? what then happens when you die?

Elena: I....I... I haven't thought about that.

Aidris: [sigh] Rule number one, When facing an opponent who's stronger than you, create a distraction and run away. unless you're fighting in a life and death duel.

Elena: Only cowards run away from a fight.

Aidris: Alright then, rest up for a bit and go.

After saying this, Aidris blended into the shadows and disappeared right in front of her eyes.

"Wtf? Did he just disappear into tin air?" elena murmured. "No, Elena, becoming one with the shadows is a common skill with shadow warriors.Though I wonder what a shadow warrior is doing in zastlevania." Dracula responded.

"I see." Earlier, I tried to use my scrutiny skills on him, but I got nothing. "Hahaha, the vampire is on the rank of a vampire God. At your current level, it will be impossible to dig out anything about him even with your system."

With Dracula mentioning Aidris rank to be of the vampire God tier, Elena was stunned. Ever since becoming a vampire, she had never met another vampire in the God rank.

Even though she knew Alacad and the other lords were strong, she didn't believe they've been able to get to the top of the rank pyramid. so the moment Dracula let her in on the rank of the vampire, Elena began contemplating on how to maximise her profits with this encounter.

She would wait for him to get back before making her move. in the meantime, she decided to check the system notification that had been beeping in front of her eyes ever since she woke up.

Seeing the last two notifications left elena in a confused state. who would have thought drinking the blood of a vampire would increase her stat points by 3 and also help her level up in her current rank.

As for the quest, how was she supposed to learn the ways of the shadow warriors if they have all been forced to leave zastlevania? she couldn't help but wonder why the system kept giving her impossible tasks lately.

Looking at her stat panel, she assigned her 7 unassigned stat points to Endurance, bringing it to 10.

Skill Description: This skill allows the host to take the form of any lifeform or object. the host has seen or previously come in contact with.

Two hours later, Aidris made his way back to his apartment. Upon arrival, he noticed Elena sitting legged crossed on the ground, channelling her vampiric energy.

To his horror, the weakling was still in his apartment, with a simple glance he could tell she had no plans of leaving anytime soon.

Without revealing himself, he decided to observe her from the shadows. oblivious to the fact that she was being watched, elena kept channelling her vampiric energy for another 3 hours.

After which, she brought out a blood flask and proceeded to drink from it. seeing this, Aidris shook his head but said nothing as he kept observing her.

Moving on, she began scanning through the entire room, with her scrutiny skill out of boredom, but she found nothing of interest.

unable to find anything, she decided to go sit down. turning around with her scrutiny skill still activated, she caught sight of a man cloak with the dark shadows in the room.

still maintaining a straight face, she deactivated her scrutiny skill while walking towards the chair. But after deactivating the skill, she realised she could no longer see him.

with this revelation, she deduced that the vampire must have been there all this while concealing his presence from her.

She activated the scrutiny skill once more, shaking her head in disappointment, she asked while staring straight at Aidris. " How long do you intend to keep watching from the shadows?"
