From each rock in the circle, dark shadows began sipping out, with every one of them slowly making their way towards Sammy, who was oblivious to their presence.

while Sammy focused on freeing himself from the rock, the dark shadows began slipping their way through several openings in his body like his pores, nose, and ear. this resulted in his vision going completely dark and him trying his best to fight whatever it was that was invading his body.

while Sammy was in a state of panic, the shadow began fighting with his mind and trying to take control over him.

After several hours of struggle between Sammy and dark shadow, his soul was finally pushed toward a corner in his body while the dark shadow assumed full control over his body.

At this point, Sammy's soul became a spectator, one who could only watch from the sidelines but unable to do nothing. he watched helplessly as his body became a new home for a forgotten Divine, a Divine who was bent on ending the race of the vampires.

Dark shadow pov:

Imprisoned in the seven rocks was the Divine of Chaos named Asura. thousands of years ago, Asura, the divine of chaos, waged war against Maacah the divine of blood.

Upon realising he wasn't a match for Maacah, he decided to bring down maacah's greatest creations instead.

As a result, Asura left the domain of the divines, disguised himself as a vampire, and began wrecking havoc in the vampire settlements of old.

whichever vampire kingdom asura visited, chaos will follow, simple arguments will turn into life and death battles for the vampires. every day, thousands of vampires died as a result of Asura's manipulation.

The more chaos spread in the vampire kingdoms, the more powerful Asura became. Not wanting his proud creations to be destroyed by Asura, Maacah was forced to journey out of the domain of the divines to engage Asura in a battle once more.

After fighting for several days, Maacah imprisoned asura within the rocks of darkness, splitting his powers into seven portions and then binding him to the rock for eternity or so Asura was led to believe.

After spending thousands of years unable to break free from his prison, Asura thought he would never be able to walk freely again.

Fortunately for Asura and unfortunately for the vampires, fate brought Sammy and the guards to the rock of darkness.

When Sammy placed his bloody hands on the rock, Asura, for the first time in a long time, felt the powers restricting him from escaping being destroyed.

Although Sammy had no idea, being a vampire meant he had a direct connection to Maacah, the divine of blood. Since Maacah was the one who Imprisoned Asura, a vampire's blood was enough to break asura free.

Looking at the weak body he has just possessed, asura shook his head in disappointment. He was asura, a Divine who was strong and powerful, one who could destroy and cause chaos so long he willed it, now he was forced to reside in the body of a level 2 mage Rank vampire in other to survive.

"Maacah, just you wait. this time around, after I crush your beloved vampires, I'll come for you and the other divines as well."

After swearing in anger, Asura began merging Sammy's memories with his. Since he was stuck with this body for now, he decided to play the role of Sammy until he found a more suitable body for himself.

A few minutes later, Asura successfully merged Asura's memories with his, with a creepy smile on his face, He began walking deep into the forest.

His plan was simple, he was going to kill a wyvern, extract the venom, and become the hero. From there, he will create a plan to destroy the entire vampire race before killing Maacah.

Elena's pov:

After training and reinforcing her vampiric energy, Elena decided to tour around the castle since it's been long since she left for the academy.

walking around the castle made her realise how ancient the third castle and the third kingdom in general looked.

she began wondering how better the kingdom would be if only alacad had opted for a more modern kingdom like the first Lord, Lord Antoine. without noticing, she started noting down key areas she would like to work on if she did become the Lady of the third kingdom.

Shaking her head, she sighed. with each passing day, it seemed like she was beginning to forget about her goal of wanting to return back to earth.

From the castle, she made her way into bustling streets. here vampires were going about their day as usual. Some were training at the front of their houses.

the whole kingdom seemed to have come to life. On the road were announcement signs that were used to announce the inauguration ceremony of Alacad.

Looking towards the north, she saw a giant teleportation stop that was under construction. not paying it any heed, she continued walking through the streets.

"Someone has been following you for a while now, Elena." Dracula said. "I know, my perception picked up on it." What do you intend to do now?

without answering dracula, Elena made a quick turn, stepping into an alley way. the next moment, a young vampire also entered the alley.

Seeing the young man, Elena frowned. "Sammy? why are you here? and why the F are you following me?

For some reason, Elena felt something was wrong with Sammy. His aura was different. Present in his eyes was an unphantomable killing intent, one that sent shivers down her spines.

For some reason, the Sammy standing in front of her was more scary than the elephant-like beast she fought against in the vast lands of beasts and undead creatures.

"Hahaha ha, following you? I only just arrived in zastlevania today, with the intention of claiming my reward as the saviour of Lord Antoine's Ward, who would have thought that a certain girl named Elena would have beaten me to it already. Not only did I not get the reward I deserve, but the Lord even ordered his guards to arrest me and punish me for abandoning you and the others in the vast lands of beasts and undead creatures."

Left with no choice, I was forced to use my ability to flee in order to preserve my life. Now that fate has brought you to me, Elena, I hope you're ready to pay for all the humiliation you caused me today. And for taking my glory and reward, I hope you're ready to meet your maker?

After saying this, Asura unleashed several balls made from dark energies at elena. seeing Sammy's attacks, she quickly raised up a wall made from pure vampiric energy in front of her.

The next moment, she received a system notification.

System notification:

You're in the presence of a much stronger opponent. Try not to die.

Emergency quest issued.

Emergency quest: Survive!

Reward: increase in agility and mana.

seeing the system quest only asking her to survive, Elena began panicking. she was sure the system would only ask her to survive only when she was facing a much stronger opponent.

the last time she checked, Sammy was weaker in comparison to her, and his ability was simply invisibility. for some reasons unknown to her, he was using a different ability.

While she was still panicking, Sammy's dark energy balls began colliding with Her wall of vampiric energy. Not quite long, her energy wall came crumbling down under the intense might of Sammy's attacks.
