Simulation Drill part 3.

right now, she was using her vampiric energy as a sort of armour. the vampiric energy was so concentrated and pure that it looked like a crimson coloured armour set, covering every part of her body except for her eyes, nose, and mouth.

she distanced herself from the wyvern a bit so she could keep far from its long tail. turning to her left, Arwin could see the other sidhe had shape-shifted, turning into an identical version of zareth, with the only difference being a blueish magical staff on its hands.

s.h.i.t, Arwin cursed out loud, generating a condensed vampiric energy in the form of a blade, throwing it out towards the sidhe that had taken the look of zareth, with just a simple wave of the staff on his hands,Arwin's energy attack turned into little shining particles before disappearing.

seeing how easily the shape-shifting sidhe had cancelled out one of her powerful vampiric energy, she realised she was no match for both of the opponents in front of her.

At this point, giving up wasn't an option for Arwin. If anything, she was determined to come out of this alive. so she began creating several giant spears with her vampire energy, hauling it towards the wyvern, and zareths look alike.

All her attacks were useless and unable to penetrate the skin of the wyvern, while the shape-shifter kept using his staff to cancel out all her attacks. looking forward, she could see, zareth wasn't fairing well at all.

from the way these sidhes were going all out against them, it was obvious something was wrong, this was supposed to be a drill, but right now it felt like his life was on the line , zareth thought.

Rushing forward with a ground quaking force, the wyvern and the shape-shifting sidhe both closed in on arwin from both sides, aiming to finish her.

the wyvern swung out its long tail while the shape-shifter stretched out his magical staff. seeing this, Arwin lept upwards, the same time sending out a massive wave of vampiric energy [whhhooossshhhh] covering a small radius.

The wave hit the wyvern and did absolutely nothing to it. when it made contact with the shape-shifter, [Boooooom] a loud bang was heard, as the sidhe was seen crashing several fts away.

the moment she descended back to the ground, she felt a sharp pain on her back, as if she had been stung. the sharp pain was then followed by a cold sensation. The cold was spreading to every inch of her body at a quick pace. Whatever had stung her didn't let go of her.

the wyvern had finally pierced her with the tip of its long tail, sending a deadly venom into her. After the cold feeling came a burning sensation, she was beginning to feel like her inside was on fire when a giant beam of blue energy hit her from the left.

the shape-shifter had finally recovered after taking a serious hit from Arwin's wave of vampiric energy. now it was unleashing the magical energy contained in its staff on arwin.

she was stuck between the attack of the wyvern and that of the shape-shifter. She was becoming weak by the second as the blue energy beam seemed to be zapping away her life force. turning her head to the other side, she could see zareth on one kneel he was badly beating.

she was struggling to stay awake, she wanted to fight back, she wanted to do something, anything to save herself from this situation but she was too weak to do anything at best she could barely move her fingers.

the tip of the wyvern's tail was still buried deep inside her. she heard someone scream her name, she could make out the voice, it was Elena's but she was too weak to speak or even ask for help, her vision was beginning to fade.

hearing the voice of Elena, all four of the sidhes' attention quickly moved towards her. the finishing attacks they were about to carry out were cut off. the blue beam of energy had stopped zapping out energy from Arwin, the same could be said of zareths opponents, they all paused their attack.

all four of them were staring at elena, who at this point had hauled several daggers that were made from her vampiric energy towards the four sidhes in front of her.

with a wave of his staff, the sidhe who had shape-shifted into zareth destroyed all of Elenas attacks. seeing this, she moved in to create another attack, but the shape-shifting sidhe spoke to her instead.

"Young Mistress, Lord Alacad had instructed us to keep you safe, so we can not harm you. Please do not get involved or stand in our way as we must complete our assignment. we are only carrying out his instructions."

Elena was taken aback by this revelation. Why would alacad instruct them to keep her safe? was he aware of the drill? and by assignment, were the sidhe instructed to kill the weak students by the academy?

Elena's mind was racing with different questions.she finally responded. "they are my friends. You've harmed them a lot. If you harm them further, they might die. I believe the academy wouldn't mind if you spare their lives."

"Haha! little one, we have no business with the academy. We only answer to one, one whom we believe you answer to as well. I'm sorry we can not let them leave this place alive. Their life needs to be sacrificed for the greater good." The wyvern said.

hearing this, Elena was stunned. why would alacad take the life of zareth and Arwin? What was his end goal in all of this? what would he gain by attacking the academy?.

Then she remembered Arwin had told her she was the ward of the first Lord, and Alacad had previously instructed her to make sure she gained the attention of the first Lord. All of this was connected, but she needed to know why the sidhe were working with Alacad. that's if she was going to rescue Arwin and zareth.

"I see." She responded. mind if I ask, why do you work with my lord? the shape-shifting sidhe smilled before responding. "Souls! he has promised us the souls and the bloods of mortals."

hearing this, Elena was shocked and angry, and Alacad was playing her for a fool. but she kept up a blank expression. she wanted to be sure of everything before making her move. If anything, she wasn't going to let alacad succeed.

playing along, she continued. "If my lord wants them dead, then he knows best, but I need a favour from you." She paused before continuing.

"I can't find my way out. How do I leave this maze?" She asked with a tired look on her face.

seeing this, the sidhe used his magical staff to create a portal for elena. This portal will take you back to the garden where your briefing took place. hurry up and leave. She smiled before saying thank you.

[A few minutes back]

while she was talking to the sidhes and asking them a series of questions, she was also having a conversation with Dracula in her mind.

she instructed dracula to help her scan the staff with the system. He had given her positive feedback. According to the system, the magical staff was the only thing that could kill a sidhe.

hearing this, she was happy, she knew what she needed to do and that she would gladly do.
