It was safe to say, since she became a vampire, she had a very high tolerance to pain,but the pain she was going through was on another level even with her new found strength and tolerance to pains and attacks.

At another location, the healers were doing their best to heal Arwin. due to the venom on her body and the fact that the sidhe had used his staff to zap away some of her life force, it was proving so difficult to heal her.

she was low on energy, and every attempt to get rid of the toxins in her body had been futile. her skin was extremely cold and pale.

Zareth, on the other hand, was okay after spending a few hours with the healers. usually, as vampires, their fast healing abilities would kick in, but the battle with the sidhe was a strange one. For some reason, zareth's body only healed after the healers had used their abilities on him.

pacing around the large room that was filled with mini beds, Lord Antoine had an extremely worried look on his face. so far, the healers were unable to stop Arwin's situation from getting worse.

they couldn't tell exactly what kind of toxins were present in her body.from what elena had said, they were unable to know for certain what had happened to Arwin and zareth.

Finally seeing zareth was okay, Lord Antoine decided to do some investigating. he stood in front of zareth, introduced himself, and he began questioning him.

A few minutes later, zareth had described the creature the sidhe had transformed into. he also told Lord Antoine the creature had used his tail to sting Arwin.

At Lord Antoine's command , a book with different diagrams of various magical beasts was placed in front of zareth. He kept flipping from page to page until he came across a beast that looked exactly like the wyvern.

"Here, this was the beast that stung Arwin." zareth said while pointing at the wyvern. looking at the creature in the book, Antoine's eyes were teary. He knew it would take a lot to save Arwin at this point.

it has been more than 4000 years since anyone had seen a wyvern, infact many believed they were extinct. Some believed few still roamed the vast lands of the beasts and undead creatures.

If the toxins in Arwin's body were as a result of a wyvern attack, they needed to extract the venom from a wyvern as well in order to create an antidote for her.

To create an antidote, they would need to hunt down and even kill a wyvern. hunting down a wyvern seemed like an impossible task right now.

Back in the northern garden, the instructors and warriors had begun rescuing the students from the maze. It was safe to say the entire maze was in a state of chaos.

so far, four other students were found dead, and they were all from different noble families from the 2nd,4th, 5th, and 6th cities.

As for the other students, They had severe injuries all over their bodies. the look on the faces of the instructors was one of fear. Never have they seen anything like this.

In the first place, the sidhes weren't supposed to be in the maze,someone had tempered with the simulation settings and had replaced it with real creatures.

the questions bugging their minds were, who was behind the attacks, and why were the students of noble descents the only ones who had been killed?

After all the students had been rescued and were safe in the healing rooms, an emergency meeting was called between the instructors.

The meeting was led by Lord Antoine since he was present in the academy. Due to his ward being among the victims.

It was brought to my attention that a sidhe with a shape-shifting ability had transformed into a wyvern and attacked Arwin, I would suggest we send out volunteers who would go into the vast land of beasts and undead creatures to find the cure.Antoine said. the other instructors present all nodded in affirmation.

He paused for a while before continuing." I believe that as instructors, the students should be your priorities. Now, can anyone tell me what exactly happened today and why no one was able to tell there had been a breach in security?"

the entire meeting room was silent. no one dared to speak for fear they might end up annoying the first Lord.

After waiting for a while, he continued. " Clearly, you lots are simply incompetent. moving forward, there will be an indefinite hold on the academy's activities and training, All students are to return back to their city while thorough investigation will be conducted. as for the mining of stone crystals on the zenox planet. the academy still has the absolute right to continue mining."

"Make sure an announcement is made by morning, get the names of those who would love to volunteer to get the antidote. and I'll take it up from there." After saying this, Antoine ended the meeting right there, and then.

His top priority was his ward, Arwin. He had vowed to treat her like his child, and he would die before allowing any harm comes her way.

he was ready to sacrifice as many lives as possible to save hers.

It had been several hours since Elena had passed out due to the excessive pain of evolving. waking up, she noticed she was no longer on the bed. She was lying on the floor.

she stood up, and her entire body felt lighter than it used to. she rushed to her bathroom, and she wanted to check for any visible changes because of her past experience after turning into a vampire.

looking at the mirror on her bathroom wall, she could see her face was more defined than before. Her beauty was more pronounced, her hair was longer, and the shade of purple was way brighter than before.

coming back to the room, she sat on the bed before opening up her system's screen.
