The awakening

On this day, the sun was awake, shining brightly onto the orphanage, that day, Teo and the other children were to fully awaken their dragonic powers. Moat of the children were to fail, their bloodlines too weak to awaken. Out of the fifty four orphans, only about fifteen were going to actually awaken. The Royal emissary arrived, just as the sun reached its peak. A cold breeze brushed through the woods, that surrounded the run down orphanage. The only excited younglings raced about, only calming after some troubles by the nanny. They lined up by grades, the most powerful first, the weakest last. No one knew how to categorize someone like Teo, who refused to partake in training. Thus, he was dead last, the other children snickering as he was led there. The nanny gave him a empathetic smile, thinking to herself that Teo surely would not awaken. Yet she still forced a smile, and said "Teo, I hope you really do awaken", as she couldn't bring herself to say otherwise.

"Nancy, stop wasting time on that spawn, you will see him fail, so why the words on a hopeless trash such as him?" sneered the emissary, "Now let's see some real talents" rubbing his hands together greedily. "First in line, come up, and touch the globe, the brighter the glow, the more potential you have; however, it will also show an auspicious sign if you have any extra powers."

First in line was a bully named Flare, as his name suggested, he was a walking volcano of anger. He smiled winningly, putting his hands upon the globe, it flared red, but fairly dull in light. The emissary sighed, "if this is all you have, I'll take him... Surely no one will be that good..." he was truly upset, as he had high hopes for this bunch of orphans. Other than flare, with a decent fire attribute, the rest paled in comparison. Finally, the person in front of Teo went and touched the globe...

"Boom!!"

Suddenly, as he touched the globe , the person in front of Teo had shown an immense bloodline power. The kid, shocked into place, stared wide eyed at the globe in front... Or rather, where it was.

The emissary stared for a moment, then screamed loudly. He dashed to the kid, "What is your name? Will you come with me to the capital???"

"My name is Joe... And sure, creepy dude" said Joe lazily, flicking his fingers as if he knew it would happen. Teo stared at Joe, angrily cursing at him inside.
