C12 "VERZ" ( Part 2 )

"What the fuck are you all doing?! In the span of merely half an hour, 23 websites are already overtaken by those disgusting foreigners!" The chief shouted at his subordinates seeing the situation worsening.

"They're too strong chief! They have about three world class hackers on their side, not to mention just SKY would've toppled our network alone." His second in command replied with an ugly look on his face.

"Fuck! I'm down!" A woman said as her monitor suddenly blacked out.

"Seems like they're getting impatient. Why did they have to attack our country? Do they really think that VERZ is our country's hacker?! What a joke!" The chief furiously punched the wall in anger.

HoRN: [ Hehehe, they're too useless. Are you all sure that he's here? ]

SKY: [ Yes, although we can't track the specific location we still know that he's in that country ]

Three years ago, renowned hackers of the underworld from South Korea, SKY and the others, were beaten by a hacker known by the alias VERZ. Although they started the fight and hacked their official servers and websites, crashing them, he was indignant about his defeat. Not because he can't accept his loss, no, but because VERZ went too far.

VERZ created a virus called the "Black Snow". It spread so fast via emails, pop-up messages, fake websites, etc. But aside from it's fast spread rate, the most hazardous trait of this virus was that it can destroy the hardware and not just the software. If your computer was infected by the virus, it would show a static black snowflake with the texts: "Winter has come..."

Although pretty cringe, these words became the nightmare of Koreans. For two weeks, they were disconnected from the internet and important data and files were lost in the incident including digital bank records. Hundreds of millions were lost because of this.

Due to this incident, which were later then called "Black Frost Korean Digital Catastrophe" (BFK Digital Catastrophe), VERZ became the most wanted and feared hacker in the world. He was the number one most wanted hacker with a bounty of 500 million dollars on his head.

But even after three years passed, no one caught VERZ. He also never appeared again, but he still remained deeply etched in the hearts of every Korean as their most fearsome memory.

Although he was still not caught yet, after years of searching they finally found out on which nation he lived. When they learned that VERZ lived in a small country in the South East Asia, they were incredulous at first but they didn't give up their chance of revenge.

SKY and his other acquaintances in his nation didn't pass the chance and started harassing the country. At first they shut down some official websites and even broadcast station, then they recently disrupted and even erased some digital records on banks. ATM machines spewed out money continuously.

SIX: [ I bet they're now panicking. Do you think they'll arrest us? ]

SKY: [ What are you even asking? They need to hand over VERZ and the UN is now pressuring them. We also have the backing of our country, what can a small nation do? ]

HoRN: [ Let's see if you still don't come out after all of this, VERZ ]

SKY: [ By the way, where's R0? It's been eleven minutes and he still haven't reported? ]

At that moment, someone chatted on their private website chat in distress.

[ Boss SKY! R0 is offline now, I can't contact him no matter what I do! ]

SKY's face changed and he felt a bad feeling about this.

SKY: [ Continue as planned. Destroy their internet servers, websites, etc. ]

[ . . . ]

SKY: [ Do you copy? Hey! Answer. ]

All of a sudden, his computer monitor blacked out. His face went ugly as soon as he saw this and he cursed as he smashed his keyboard with his fists.

"FUCK!!!"

Hackers worldwide were looking at this situation and decided to just observe. Although they weren't sure if VERZ was really in that country, they wouldn't take the risk and rashly offend that bigshot. They didn't have balls of steel like SKY and the others.

American Hacker FADE: [ Do you think he would come out? ]

Japanese Hacker Blank: [ He has to. If not then that country would have an economic crash ]

Chinese Hacker PenguinZ: [ They already seized over 30 sites and crashed 11 digital bank systems. They're already crashing down. ]

The hackers looked on as the Philippines tried to desperately defend their nation, alas all of them were in vain. They were defenseless and only delayed the advance for a while. The News Broadcasting Network of some of famed TV stations in the nation were even seized.

But all of a sudden, all of the computers and monitors that have been seized and hacked by the foreign hackers blacked out.

German Hacker FriTz: [ Huh? What happened? ]

The hackers noticed that something was amiss. All of a sudden, the Korean hackers suddenly stopped and all came back to normal in the Philippines in under three minutes.

Suddenly, screens all over the world blackened out too. It didn't matter if it's a phone, a computer monitor, VR headset, TV, or even a billboard. All of them began blacking out one by one.

Confusion rapidly spread as people worldwide wondered what happened for all visual electronics to suddenly black out at the same time. But they didn't have to wait for long.

The screens suddenly switched and now showed a pure white image with a black snow in the middle.

Shock! Fear! These emotions surged as they remembered about the infamous and most dangerous internet catastrophe years ago. Almost everyone in the world knows about what happened that year.

The hackers cursed. They didn't want to be involved in this. Why were they included in this?! The government of countries worldwide also shared the same feelings as these hackers as their faces paled and grew solemn.

As everyone held their breath and expected the worst, the screen suddenly flickered and switched again. Everyone looked at their screens with wide eyes as they saw a glitching 3D animated model. They were speechless.

What the heck? These were the thoughts shared by the hackers and the government.

"Greetings, I heard you were looking for me. Here I am."

The model grinned widely and they shuddered as they heard her words. Although they guessed who it was, it was still shocking as no one in the world was capable of such feat. It was inhumane!

It was the most wanted and dangerous hacker in the world, VERZ!
