Chapter 16 Magic Beast History

[Akio Pov]

After I thought of the whole reason that I was even here in this hunt, to begin with, even if I kind of rathered, not to fight like my family in hunts, and would I would have probably just continued conducting experiments and researching back at home, I guess I shouldn't be dissatisfied since I already had gotten a significant amount of progress in my training and research since I had managed to obtain a mana stone, which according to appraisal seems to have fire elemental mana inside it, which I can use to get used to the mana, that should be flowing inside of me. While also giving my body the same strength enhancement, that amounts to 2 years of me training my butt off with martial art intense training, with constant regeneration at that time.

While I minded off again when I thought of Emily's reaction towards her body strength enhancement, it seemed that unlike her, who didn't care about the strength enhancement that much, Kuroka, on the other hand, seemed to be amazed, like she saw something that previously unrealistic for herself.

And by the look of her face despite its natural cold expression, I can still see that she was thrilled with the increase of her strength, not because of anything particular, than just her amazement and fascination with anything concerning strength, which was the reason she even pestered me for months concerning the fighting style I instinctively used before.

So before I even noticed, one of my older sisters, Sasha, had seemed to have already stood up from her chair, which was seated right beside me as she suddenly told me with an inquisitive and amazing look as she told me with her hands over mine.

[Sasha] "... Akio, I'm your older sister right, can you tell me where you get that great meat? It was unlike I had ever tasted before or even had hunted before."

As I heard her words of a bit of pressure under it that I think she only let out accidentally due to Sis's excitement of knowing the meat, I then answered her [Akio], "I uh. Sis's not that easy to get this type of meat again; I think that the boar was only slightly bigger that caused it to be more delicious..."

And before I managed to complete my words towards her, my sister ignored me as she continued saying while she slightly pressed my hand with quite a bit of force, which made me slightly scared of her.

[Sasha] "That meat was so amazing, Akio; you can't be too selfish to keep that info from yourself right, although I'm not as smart as you, I can still guess that boar meat wasn't anything normal, right, come on, tell me, tell me to tell me."

As I saw my older sister, who seemed to be acting like a child that honestly reminded me of Emily when she pesters me a bit, in helping her when she couldn't understand some of Mom's research and lessons, or as stated before, Kuroka, who is very interested in my martial techniques.

Since I bet that I couldn't get away from this situation without spilling the beans, since looking at the others, it was not only Sister Sasha who had been looking at me as prey. Them being the hunter with eyes that clearly wanted to know where they could get more of that meat, which they deemed to be a slice of miraculous meat just based on its deliciousness, not even counting the body strengthening of the meat.

Seeing the situation he was in, Akio let out a pitiful sigh. He then started to explain what had happened ever since he had woken up earlier except, of course, the information concerning all his special abilities from ROB, along with his homemade health potion. As he mostly only told them, of his slight complex of being comparable weak to everyone concerning his body as he trained alone in the forest, not mentioning that it was actually him being worried about the situation with Kuroka, and also had just told them that with the poison and paralyzing poisons that he had made before, which he had already shown everyone before, so they really weren't surprised that using the highly effective poisons, was able to take down a boar. However, they were surprised that he could fight the boar in short-range despite his arguably bad close combat strength.

But besides that, most of them only paid attention to the detailed information about the boar that Akio had managed to defeat; when they had heard the details, their faces showed confused and unknowing expressions except for Arthur, who had become silent when he heard the boar's details seemingly trying to remember certain details from his mind, as it seems that as expected that they hadn't heard of any beasts like that had similar distributions mainly the two-tailed and, unknown skin colour with the fire abilities, that it had, which Akio didn't explain to be as magic just yet.

[Arnold] "Akio... Are you sure that the details about the boar you had encountered are real? It's not like we don't believe you or anything. It's just that a beast with the power of fire, with two times the size of a normal boar, which actually explanations why the meat you brought back was so many, and the two-tailed, characteristics are all just quite unbelievable."

[Simon] "Yeah Bro, I mean if what you said is through how come, we haven't heard it yet from any of the other hunters of the village, since like every day many of us go hunting, for everyone in the village there is no way we couldn't have found at least found one beast that fits with your description, right Dad?"

And as Brother Simon had uttered those words from his mouth, Dad, which he used as a wingman to disprove my point, surprisingly said to us, which surprised me, since I didn't know the info despite my slight info gathering this few years.

[Arthur] "No... Although I am not exactly sure what it was, I once before, when Hunting alone near the village has met a beast similar to Akio's description. However, the beast is not a boar but instead a sabertooth; this sabertooth, unlike we had hunted before, had light purple fur, crimson red eyes, with two tails similar to Akio's story. Although I am still not sure about it, it seemed that, like Akio's Boar, that Sabertooth had similar powers to Akio's boar, but instead of the power of flames, it had the power of Lightning."

When I and everyone else in the camp had heard dad's words, We were all surprised, even me since I thought that I was the one who had actually first fought a beast with mana in it, and based on Dad's expression and details, I doubt that he is actually just joking around this time, as Sister Akane was about to ask dad something, it seemed that Dad wanted to continue so she immediately silenced as she was interested in the story, of dad's encounter, and seemed to be able to wait for a while before asking her question.

[Arthur] " The First time I had met that Sabertooth, It was only a few weeks ago, at that time, I had just going at it with... I probably shouldn't tell it you guys yet, since there are kids here; anyway, I had wanted to stretch out that night, and as you know, I choose hunting near the village to do it. Well, anyway it was all normal like before, I hunted, caught and ate some of the prey I had caught, but as I had arrived in a cave, near the village, I noticed a weird sign on it which caused me to be interested genuinely in checking that place out."

"And once I entered it, I then met with that purple sabertooth, and seemingly as I entered the cave, I saw the beast immediately open my eyes, as I saw it stand up from where it was laying earlier and dash towards me, as it immediately dashed towards me, my instincts kicked up as I began to run out of quickly of the cave since I knew I would be destroyed if that large beast attacked me in such a tight space."

When my brothers and sisters heard this once again, they showed a surprised and slightly pale expression as I hear one of them muttering the words of "How could that be there is no way, that could be Dad's the strongest Hunter in the village if that beast had already made courageous dad ran away, from knowing it's dangerous."

"And when I got out of that space. I then fought with that Purple Violet, fiercely with my two swords, slashing towards it; in the fight, I had with that wild beast, I saw that the beast seemingly summoning thunder of its own will, from the skies, along with slashing out sharp claws, which had seemingly paralyzed me for a few seconds when it landed on me, so due to that reason, I knew that I would eventually lose and die if I didn't run away at the time, so thanks to one of Akio here's Dust Bomb, which had blinded the Sabertooth that allowed me to escape with my life intact successfully. And here is the proof of that event scarred into me."

After dad had finished saying those words of his, he then showed us a scar which seemed to have mostly healed by now, located in dad's upper back, with the distinct claw marks of a sabertooth.

After this, everyone became anxious and pale since they all thought similar thoughts of that, " If there are more of those kinds of beasts roaming around in the village with powers that was unheard of, even from the ancestor's era, there is no way we could survive if all of them attacked the village in hoards."

However, as the atmosphere of the place became so different from the joyous atmosphere earlier as they were eating the meat, Dad suddenly said words that seemed to have lightened up everyone's moods for the better, as they seemed to have gotten a resolve in getting more stronger in more concrete and solid goal with it, which Dad's words were.

[Arthur]" Kid's don't be too down about that, I know that it may seem perilous at first, since the strength of those beasts seemed to be much stronger than any of us, including the neighbouring villages, could handle. Still, today's discovery, thanks to Akio's efforts, we had found out that if we manage to kill and eat those types of the beast with weird powers, we could all become stronger. With more strength, we could become stronger so that if those types of beasts attack the village, we could all protect our homes and families, for them to remain safe."

And as Dad said, it a pretty corny due to me remembering certain anime characters saying such speeches, which made me slightly cringe from dad's words and, I guess, Inspiring speech for everyone in the group. And without notice, everyone became motivated as they shouted aloud together, which I just dragged along in saying.

"Aye!"
