The way too familiar buzz of the teleportation portal sounded off as it deposited its burden on the 99th floor. 

Several moments had to pass before the blinding flashes of light stopped terrorizing our sight and allowed us to see again. However while we waited for that, the first thing we got to experience wasn't sight but sensation.

Instantly the feral heat unlike any of which I've experienced in my ten years in Luna assaulted us. It blinded our senses and began suffocating us with its scarlet intensity. 

The simple task of breathing this boiling air was almost akin to willingly ingesting poisonous gas.

It seared my lungs with every breath I took.

On one of the earlier floors you're forced to fight in the realm of the gods and demons as you faced off against perverse monstrosities. This current heat made that of the nine hells of the demon realm feel like nothing.
