Chapter 61 Prince Mansion

In the morning, the sun radiated its brilliance across the sky. Inside the house, only Qian Renxue and Qian Yunfeng were present, while Hun Yu was nowhere to be found.

"Where did he go?" Renxue inquired, seated on a chair with her chin delicately cradled in her hand.

"I should return to Heaven Duo City; otherwise, matters might spiral out of control," she pondered, lightly tapping her fingertips on the table stand. Another thought crossed her mind, "Should I also bring Hun Yu along with me?"

"The emperor should be in no condition to take any action now."

In a distant locale, between two to four mountains away from Hun Yu's residence, a shirtless man was visible. Wiping sweat from his body, he laid his sword down and sat beneath a nearby tree.

He wiped sweat from his body, then gently placed the sword down before settling under the nearby tree. Recently, he had been neglecting his training.

Now equipped with 6th spirit ring sword ability, he aimed to overcome his close-range weaknesses.

The best part was, he lacked comprehensive knowledge of sword techniques...

having only acquired a Little bit understanding from Hu Leina. Perhaps, Renxue can teach him 1-2 moves, given her apparent proficiency in swordsmanship.

"I should head back; it's already late morning."

Standing up, he put on his clothes and made his way home, singing a song in a language probably incomprehensible to anyone on the entire Douluo Continent.

(A/N - Bro is singing in English ( ̄︶ ̄)↗ )

Suddenly, a thought interrupted his melody.

"Wait... I didn't ask."

He remembered when the old man had proposed making his son the inheritor.

Although not fully on board, he had suggested, "Ask him when he's ready, if he wants it or not," with the condition of protecting his son.

Now, he pondered, realizing Renxue is the Boss in the family.

Sighing, he thought, "I don't think she will be angry about it. I don't know how to tell her. It's better to be kept secret for now."

As he walked, a question nagged at him: "How powerful are gods? Can they create life? Do they truly embody the qualities of gods?"

His definition of gods starkly contrasts with the locals.

Reaching the 100th rank here supposedly elevates individuals to godhood, breaking free from human limitations.

Yet, to him, hailing from Earth, they are merely beings transcending some human restrictions.

On Earth, the definition of gods surpasses even the imagination of those in the god realm.

He cleared his head, realizing that dwelling on these thoughts was futile.

He entered his house.

He could feel Renxue's gaze on him. "Oh, finally back?" she said, tapping her fingers on the table. She continued questioning, "By the way, where did you go at night? You didn't come inside."

Hearing her questions, Hun Yu moved to sit in front of her. As he approached, she remarked, "Were you practicing?" She could clearly smell the sweat on him.

He nodded in approval. Seemingly noticing the wooden sword in Hun Yu's hand, she asked, "Were you practicing with the sword?"

"Yes."

"I have to tell you something." She looked at Hun Yu. Despite the desire to live this worry-free life in their small place, she continued, "I will be leaving today." She added, "But if you want, you can tag along."

Hearing her open invitation, Hun Yu was overjoyed, though he didn't show it. He simply replied, "Alright."

Curious, he asked, "Uhmm, where are we going?" He didn't expect her to reveal much, given her secretive nature.

"The Imperial City of Heaven Duo."

Upon hearing this, Hun Yu made a less-than-enthusiastic face. "There?" He didn't want to go there, but since she had asked him to tag along, he couldn't refuse.

She stood up. "Then let's not waste time and head to Heaven Duo City. I'll explain things later." Slowly, she picked up Yunfeng without waking him up.

"Wait... I'll be back in a minute," he said as he headed outside.

Picking some flowers, he arrived at the grave of Xiao Xiao and placed them in front of it.

After some time, he headed towards the Village Head Chief's house, knocking on it. Soon, an old man opened the door and saw him. "Finally remembered to visit this old man," the old man remarked.

Hun Yu looked embarrassed and said, "I..."

Looking at his embarrassed face, the old man invited him inside. "So, may I know the reason for your visit?"

"I am leaving, and I might not come back for some time. I just wanted to ask if you can take care of my house," said Hun Yu while scratching his head.

The old man looked at Hun Yu and muttered, "Kids grow so fast; now they have their own kids."

After a little talking, he headed back.

"Let's go," he said to Qian Renxue, who was standing on the edge of the mountain, and Yunfeng, who was sitting on the ground behind her.

Soon, they headed towards Heaven Duo City. As they were walking, Yun Feng was in the middle, holding both Renxue and Hun Yu's hands on each side.

  ...

A man with blue hair was sitting at a table, surrounded by a group of people.

"So according to Senior Dugu, the Crown Prince is colliding with Spirit Hall and has poisoned the emperor?" said a bulky-looking man with a scratch on his eyes. The one who spoke was Yang Wudi, the head of the Breaking Clan, and a level 82 Spirit Douluo.

Dugu Bo nodded and continued, "It is said that the Crown Prince is ill because of some spirit beast, and he is not able to attend to anyone. He has not made any appearance in a month."

"I think this would be the best chance to rescue the emperor from the hands of the Crown Prince."

Hearing this, Tang San stood up. "Yes, as Old Poison said, we have to tell the truth to the emperor. We cannot let the empire fall into the hands of Spirit Hall."

Everyone nodded in approval. "Then, Old Poison, Yang Wudi, and I will head to the Imperial Palace the next day."

...

"Finally arrived," said Hun Yu as he sensed the bustling city in the distance.

Qian Renxue looked at the Heaven Duo City. She took out a compass-like device and moved to a distance from Hun Yu and Yunfeng. She injected her spirit power into the compass.

Somewhere in the Heaven Duo City, two figures seemed to be talking until they sensed their compass glowing.

"This... Young Master is finally back," they muttered and disappeared in an instant.

In a matter of minutes, two figures appeared in front of Renxue.

Hun Yu was about to approach Renxue, but he hesitated. "Isn't that Uncle Fish and Uncle Snake?" As he heard these words, he stopped.

He turned to Yunfeng, kneeled down, and grabbed his cheeks. "Yun'er, do you know who they are?" he asked.

Yunfeng thought for a second and replied, "Mom told me these two uncles are her bodyguards."

Hun Yu stood up again. "Since they are her bodyguards, there is no need to worry."

On the side of Qian Renxue,

"Young Master, you are finally back."

As both of them saluted Renxue, their gaze shifted towards Hun Yu and Yunfeng.

"He seems to be that Hun Yu," Snake Spear Douluo immediately recognized Hun Yu as Spirit Hall is intensively trying to find him, although he does not know the reason.

Just as he was about to rush at Hun Yu, Renxue gave him a cold stare. Feeling the cold stare, he immediately stopped.

Renxue started speaking, "Can you not see he is with me?"

She looked at both of the Title Douluo. "He will work under me from now on."

"But, Young Master, how can we trust him? Even if a small detail is leaked, there is a chance the whole plan may fail," they said simultaneously.

"Are you saying I do not have eyes to choose?" she retorted.

Both of them fell silent with nothing more to say. "Since there is no more, we will head to the prince's palace."

"The disappearance for a whole month would have surely aroused suspicion among many people."

She then turned to Porcupine Douluo and told him to take Hun Yu to the prince's palace. She left with Snake Lance Douluo.

...

Imperial Palace

"Hmm... so everything is according to plan. All imperial guards are replaced, the emperor is on his death bed," Qian Renxue sat on a chair, looking at the papers that Snake Spear Douluo had given her.

"Interesting. Tang Yin is Tang San," as she read through the papers, there were many interesting pieces of information.

She stood and said, "And we need to do something about Dugu Bo. If he keeps on supporting that Xue Beng, then there might be a little problem. So, if possible, it is good to kill him."

"But... I am not the emperor now. If these things get into the ears of my 'Teacher,' he surely will connect the dots."

Even though Ning Fengzi is not a big threat on his own, Bone Douluo and Sword Douluo are. Although they are injured, a Title Douluo is a Title Douluo.

"Let the Poison Douluo live for some more days," she said as she turned around and asked, "By the way, where is Yun'er?"
