"By the way, I heard you mention the word 'aura' to me before," she said. She was curious about what this aura that Hun Yu was talking about. 

It was the first time she had heard the word.

(A/n: I don't think there is a concept of aura in Soul Land.)

Hun Yu wasn't sure when he had mentioned aura to her, but since she asked, he said, "How do I put it in words?"

"Imagine it as an invisible energy field surrounding every living and non-living being," he explained. "It cannot be seen, but only sensed."

Renxue interpreted what Hun Yu said, even though it was the first time she had ever heard of such a thing.

She gave Hun Yu a meaningful look and said, "So you can sense this 'aura' you speak of?"

"Yes," he replied.

"Then can I also do it?" she asked. This thing seemed interesting to her, if it really existed.

"Of course you can," Hun Yu said. "But it will take some time. With your talent, I don't think it will be hard for you to sense it."

"Hmm, I think we should focus on finding a spirit beast," he said. Although he was not in a hurry, he could still sense that she didn't have much time to waste. She probably had something important to do.

Just as they were searching for a spirit beast, a shockwave hit them. Both of them backed away.

"Is it a fight between Title Douluos?" Hun Yu spread his senses even wider and focused on the origin of the shockwave.

Renxue had some guesses, but she wasn't sure.

"There seem to be two Title Douluos fighting two large spirit beasts," Hun Yu said, withdrawing his senses. It would be dangerous for a Title Douluo to catch someone prying on them.

Soon, the spirit beast that was coming towards them finally appeared.

It was three meters tall, covered with a dull golden carapace and had six solid and powerful segmented legs. On its head were six eyes, two large and four small, that released a dark purple light. It had a pair of huge transparent wings on its back, clearly able to fly. There were also two protruding sword-like teeth, and at the same time two solid forelimbs, a bit like the giant claws of scorpions, but not completely, even more like three needles tied together. Swinging them left and right, they produced a peculiar purple layer.

As soon as Renxue saw it, her expression became solemn.

This spirit beast was known as the Purple Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor.

It was over 90,000 years old and could even compete with a peak Spirit Douluo.

"Hun Yu, stay behind me and don't mess around," she said seriously. She could hold this spirit beast back, but usually only Title Douluos could defeat it.

Hun Yu could also sense the danger from this spirit beast.

She looked at the Purple Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor. Although the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperors were known to be in groups of three, this one seemed to be alone. If all three of them were here, it would be very difficult to escape safely with Hun Yu.

"You go. I'll hold it back," Renxue said to Hun Yu.

Hun Yu knew that this spirit beast was much stronger than Qian Renxue.

"No," he replied simply. Leave her alone and run away? Nice joke.

"You!" she glared at Hun Yu angrily. "Whatever."

"Don't blame me if you die here."

She released her martial spirit, and a Seraphim appeared behind her.

Her spirit rings were:

2 yellow, 2 purple, and 3 black

"Holy Sword!" A sword made of holy flames appeared in her hand.

The Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor looked impatient and rushed towards Renxue. It was so fast that even Renxue had trouble matching its speed.

She had no choice but to release her Angelic Domain. As soon as she did, a brilliant golden radiance erupted from her.

Under the effect of the domain, the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor was weakened. Its speed was much slower than before.

But even then, the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor was much stronger than her. It disappeared and reappeared behind Renxue, then used its full force to hit her with its sharp legs, which could even pierce metal easily.

But Renxue was quick to respond. She used her Holy Sword to block the attack, but the impact knocked her to the ground.

Hun Yu arrived at Renxue's side and helped her to her feet. "Are you alright?" he asked.

Renxue nodded, and Hun Yu released his martial spirit.

"It's no use," she said. "With your spirit level, you cannot stand against it. You should have obeyed my words and left."

Ignoring her words, Hun Yu said, "It is better to fight with you than leaving you alone to fight." He pointed at the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor, which was flying in the air.

The Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor focused its sight on Renxue, not Hun Yu. It must have thought that Hun Yu was just a weakling.

The Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor was ready to launch an attack, and Renxue flew into the air to meet it head-on. She released her spirit avatar and attacked the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor dozens of times, but she failed to injure it because of its extremely durable shell.

Renxue landed on the ground next to Hun Yu, obviously injured.

She whispered something into Hun Yu's ear, and he nodded.

Renxue flew towards the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor again and attacked. The Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor dodged her attacks, but it didn't seem to be trying to harm her. Was it playing with her?

Renxue got ready to launch another attack. Hun Yu was also ready. The plan was that Renxue would attack the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor with all her might when its vulnerable area was exposed. Hun Yu would then shoot it and take it down or injure it so that they could escape.

But Hun Yu had another plan in mind. He raised his right hand, and a wisp of white energy appeared in his palm. The white energy looked stable and didn't seem to be interacting with anything.

This was the energy that had annihilated the mysterious red energy in the contest. A little bit of it had remained on Hun Yu's body.

Hun Yu's plan was to merge this energy with his ability and shoot down the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor. He knew that if this white energy could annihilate the tremendous red energy, then this spirit beast would be nothing in front of it.

As Renxue's full-powered attack hit the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor, the beast put up all of its defenses. Even though it was much stronger than Renxue, it couldn't take her attack head-on.

Renxue's attack hit the beast, and its shield saved it, but it entered a stunned state because of Renxue's sixth spirit ring ability.

Hun Yu took advantage of the opportunity and used his first and second spirit ring abilities on an arrow made of his spirit power. Then, he guided the white energy to merge with the spirit power in the arrow.

But Hun Yu's face became solemn when he sensed that the white energy was not interacting with his energy at all. Usually, when two different energies met, they merged or destroyed one another. But this white energy was not interacting with his energy at all.

Perhaps his energy was too low even for this little wisp of white energy to interact with.

Hun Yu needed an immediate solution, otherwise the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor would soon recover from its stunned state.

Renxue looked at Hun Yu, who was standing still. "What are you doing standing there? Attack it!" she shouted.

Since Hun Yu's spirit power was not worthy to interact with the white energy, there was only one other option: try to interact with it using his aura. After all, the aura was also a kind of energy.

Hun Yu used all of his focus and senses to move his aura into the arrow. As soon as his aura touched the arrow, it was instantly absorbed by the white energy. In the next second, the color of the arrow changed from yellow to pure white. It looked as harmless as grass, but Hun Yu knew how much power it held.

He pointed the arrow at the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor, which was now out of its stunned state. The beast looked at Hun Yu and the arrow he was pointing at it.

Even though the arrow looked harmless to normal beings, it was a different story for the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor. It could sense infinite danger from the arrow, as if it contained infinite destruction.

Its instincts screamed at it to run, and it immediately flew towards the forest where its two brothers were.

But it was no use. Hun Yu had already launched his arrow.

Renxue was stunned to see the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor running away. Shouldn't they be the ones running away? Why was it different?

She was standing in the air, figuring out things, but the next moment, a very strong impact was created. It pushed her directly into dozens of trees, crashing her into them.

Hun Yu was not unharmed either. He was blown away by the strong force, landing 1,000-2,000 meters away. His eardrums were numb, and there was only ringing in his ears. All of his senses were messed up. He lay there with tattered clothes.

On the other hand, Qian Renxue's situation was much better. Her clothes were fine because they were made of precious and durable items that were even fireproof. Her condition was not as bad as Hun Yu's. She was fine, but the impact of the crash had made her injuries worse, and she was also near exhaustion.

She located Hun Yu and soon arrived at his side.

"Cough, cough," he coughed as he stood up. His senses had recovered much better after some time of lying on the ground. Slowly, he stood up and sensed his surroundings. The trees were destroyed, and the ground was cracked.

As he stood up, although some of his bones were broken, most of the impact had been absorbed by his spirit power.

Qian Renxue looked at Hun Yu. "Are you alright?" Even though she was injured and near exhaustion, she still maintained her posture.

"Hmm, I'm good," he replied.

He had some idea what might have caused the sudden shockwave: the arrow he had launched. Maybe its speed was so fast that it had created such a strong shockwave, sending him flying thousands of meters.

He didn't have the heart to tell Renxue. If she knew that he had caused her to crash into dozens of trees, God knows what she would do to him.

As they inspected the area, they saw nothing but destruction. As they moved towards the direction where the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor had run away, Qian Renxue spotted a spirit ring. But it was no ordinary spirit ring. It was black, and from the looks of it, it was around 80,000-90,000 years old.

"Did that Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor die from that impact?" she asked.

Hun Yu sensed the spirit ring. He knew that this spirit ring belonged to the Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor because he was familiar with its aura. But he couldn't find its body anywhere.

"Can you see its body anywhere?" he asked.

Although he guessed that its body might have been destroyed, it was still precious. He could become super rich in just one night.

"I don't know. I can't see it anywhere. But since the spirit ring is here, that means it's dead," Renxue replied. She was puzzled, though. How the hell did this Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor die and leave no body?

"After such a powerful movement, I don't think any spirit beast would approach this area for a while," she said thoughtfully. "Let's rest here for the time being."

But Hun Yu had other ideas about the spirit ring.
