Chapter 49 Yunfeng

"Alright, then I will take my leave," Hun Yu said as he made his exit.

Meanwhile, Xue Qinghe remained seated, lost in thought. She gazed toward the heavens and softly muttered, "Those who dwell among the stars..."

As Hun Yu left the room, he encountered Tang Yuehua, who had been waiting for him.

The two of them departed and arrived at the Moonlight Pavilion.

Tang Yuehua asked, "What did he talk about with you?" as they walked towards Hun Yu's room.

Hun Yu replied in a calm tone, "Nothing much, he was just inquiring about my song."

After a while, they reached Hun Yu's room, where he had already packed his belongings. It was time for him to depart. He picked up his bag and started heading for the exit.

"Wait!" Tang Yuehua called out.

Hun Yu turned his head toward Tang Yuehua. "Yes?"

After a brief silence, she gathered her courage and asked, "When will we be able to see each other again?"

Hearing her question, Hun Yu replied, "I don't know. It could be tomorrow, or it might never happen. The future is uncertain."

Upon receiving this response from Hun Yu, the elegant Tang Yuehua felt a twinge of anger but ultimately turned and left.

Hun Yu, who stood there, watched her depart and wondered, "Did I say something wrong?" He scratched his head and then also left.

Upon reaching the exit of the Heaven Duo Imperial City, Hun Yu departed and headed toward his home.

...

In a luxurious room, a man sat, examining some papers. "Hmm, no history, suddenly appeared," he muttered as he perused the contents of the document. Suddenly, a man materialized in front of his desk.

"Young master, do you want me to go after this kid?" the man inquired.

"No need, Uncle She Long. I don't think it's anything special," the young master replied, placing the paper on the table and standing up.

She Long contemplated for a moment and then said, "Just spread the news that the prince suffered an internal injury while absorbing the spirit ring and is currently under treatment."

She Long left the room and returned after a while, saying, "Young master, the task is completed, and no one is allowed to enter the prince's room."

"Good, now we should go. I want to meet Yun'er," the young master said. As he spoke, a golden light filled the room, and the previous man transformed into a woman.

She Long replied, "Alright, let's head there."

In the night sky, they departed from the city without anyone noticing.

After flying for some time, they finally arrived in a village.

Qian Renxue looked at the house on the hill and flew towards it, landing gracefully on the ground. She entered the house.

Soon, a shout came from the side, "Mom!" A cute-looking baby boy ran toward Qian Renxue.

Qian Renxue's heart swelled with love as she saw her son, Qian Yunfeng, with his unique blonde hair, which mirrored her own, but with those adorable black-tipped strands. She couldn't resist the urge to kneel down and scoop him up into her arms, showering him with hugs and affection.

After playing with Yun'er for some time, a woman entered the house. She looked at Qian Renxue and said, "Welcome, Miss." She was the maid that Qian Renxue had brought from Spirit Hall to take care of Qian Yunfeng.

"Mama, see Aunty!" Yun'er said excitedly, stepping up and introducing the two.

Soon, they exited the house, and suddenly Yun'er asked, "Mama, can you fly, too?"

Hearing this question, Qian Renxue smiled and replied, "Of course, I can fly."

Upon hearing this, Yun'er's face lit up with excitement, and he said in his cute voice, "Then, can you take me there?" He pointed at the clouds in the sky.

She smiled warmly and said, "Of course." She picked up Yun'er, and four golden wings manifested on her back, made of energy. Yun'er looked at the wings, trying to touch them with his little hand, but they were out of his reach, so he gave up.

Qian Renxue flew towards the clouds at a slow and gentle pace to avoid frightening Yun'er. Soon, they reached the clouds, piercing through them effortlessly.

Yun'er gazed at the clouds in wonder, exclaiming, "Wow!" His face expressed sheer amazement.

While sunlight had no effect on Qian Renxue, Yun'er's breathing quickened, and his face turned red. Qian Renxue noticed this and touched his forehead, finding it hot.

Worried, she immediately descended at high speed and reached the ground within seconds. She called out to She Long in a concerned voice.

As She Long appeared, he saw Yunfeng, whose face was flushed, and his veins were popping out from his hands. They entered the house, and She Long examined the child's condition, running his spirit power through Yunfeng's body to assess the changes.

Once the examination concluded, Qian Renxue, with deep concern in her voice and trembling hands, asked, "What happened?"

She Long looked at his young master and replied, "I've read about a condition like this in a book. When two dominant bloodlines coexist in a body, they tend to try and destroy each other. Most often, the individual doesn't survive, and the bloodlines clash before even awakening their martial spirit."

Qian Renxue, filled with concern, looked at Yun'er, wondering what she could do. She remembered her grandfather giving her a locket that could suppress the bloodline. Hastily, she took out the locket and placed it around Yunfeng's neck. The necklace emitted a red energy that entered Yunfeng's body. Qian Renxue watched with bated breath as Yunfeng's condition gradually returned to normal.

Yun'er looked around and immediately hugged Qian Renxue, tears streaming down his cheeks. She comforted him, saying, "There, there. Nothing happened."

Soon, Yun'er fell asleep, and Qian Renxue gently laid him down on the bed so as not to wake him.

Exiting the house, she saw She Long standing nearby. "Young master, I believe you should find a way to cure this condition as soon as possible. If he wears the locket all the time, he'll lose the advantage of his bloodline and become like an ordinary person."

Qian Renxue heard She Long's words and asked, "Do you know of a cure, Uncle She Long?"

She Long nodded and said, "Yes, if both parents use their spirit power to control the bloodline, it can be managed. However, as for a cure, I'm not aware of one."

Qian Renxue pondered deeply, considering her options. "Alright," she finally replied plainly, and She Long departed to not disturb his young master further.

Heading back to the house, Qian Renxue sat down on the chair.

"He should be in that village," Qian Renxue said, her thoughts drifting to Hun Yu.

She had initially planned to address these complex matters after reaching Titile Douluo, but now she had to go and meet him, at least for Yunfeng's sake.

As night fell, Yun'er woke up. Qian Renxue looked at Yun'er and pinched his cheeks, saying in a playful tone, "Finally, you thought of waking up?" She asked as she saw him rubbing his eyes.

"Here you go," Qian Renxue placed the food in front of Yunfeng. He looked at the food and said, "Mama, I don't want it. My hand hurts," as he attempted to push the food with his little hands.

"Oh, no problem. Mama will feed you," she said, taking the spoon and gently feeding him. After Yunfeng had finished his meal, Qian Renxue tapped on his head , "What?" Yunfeng covered his head with his hands and asked.

She pointed towards the locket and said, "Don't ever remove that locket." As she said this, Yunfeng looked at the locket, intrigued.

"Why?" he asked.

Qian Renxue thought for a moment and replied, "Because this was given by the Angel God, and it will protect you."

Hearing this, Yunfeng was confused and asked, "Who is this Angel God?" Qian Renxue sat on the bed and began to narrate the stories of the Angel God that her grandpa had told her.

Soon, she added, "Okay, Yun'er, we will go somewhere tomorrow." As she said this, she tucked Yunfeng into bed and covered him with a blanket, leaving him curious.
