Chapter 10: Golden Dragon Fist

Lu Feng's gaze shifted to Grandmaster, who seemed to be unaware of the situation, and with a quick flick of his sword, he discreetly hid the spirit bone in his spirit guide.

As the morning dawned, Tang San and Lu Yuan were still absorbed in absorbing their Spirit Rings.

Lu Feng and Grandmaster kept watching over them throughout the night.

The morning dew drenched the four of them and the sun was high in the sky, but they were too focused to notice.

It was now noon, and Tang San had finished absorbing his Spirit Ring. The three of them sat around Lu Yuan, keeping watch to protect him.

"Did Lu Yuan absorb the Prime Demon Ape's Spirit Ring?" asked Tang San curiously.

"Yes," Grandmaster nodded, "This Prime Demon Ape is almost 900 years old. Based on Lu Yuan's appearance, he should be finishing the absorption soon. The Golden Dragon is truly an amazing Martial Soul".

Tang San remained silent.

Lu Feng ignored the two's words, his eyes stared at Lu Yuan.

In Lu Yuan's sea of consciousness, the Golden Dragon was still as huge as ever, but the Prime Demon Ape had shrunk greatly and was no longer able to defend against the dragon's attacks.

"Roar!" The Golden Dragon roared, its roar was incessant, its golden wings flapped, and the Golden Dragon opened its bloody maw and swallowed the Prime Demon Ape in one gulp.

Lu Yuan's eyes which were tightly shut snapped open.

The black pupils of Lu Yuan's eyes turned golden, and his originally kind eyes turned cold, displaying a noble and inviolable aura!

"ROAR!" Lu Yuan raised his head towards the sky and roared, the sound of the dragon roar continued, and the powerful Golden Dragon pressure was emitted outwards, causing the Spirit Beasts in the Spirit Hunting Forest to shake.

After roaring wildly for a while, the feeling in his heart finally dissipated, Lu Yuan stretched his back, and in his eyes, the golden color slowly faded.

"Little Yuan, how are you feeling?" asked Lu Feng hurriedly.

The corners of Lu Yuan's mouth curved into a smile as he declared, "I feel incredible, my physical abilities have at least doubled and my strength and defense have improved significantly."

Grandmaster queried, "Given that the Prime Demon Ape already possesses formidable strength and defense, a comprehensive improvement in physical abilities is to be expected. What is your first spirit skill?"

Lu Yuan smiled and responded, "My first spirit skill is called Golden Dragon Fist. It enhances strength by 100 percent, and increases speed and defense by 50 percent."

He didn't mention that as he advanced in ranks, his strength would increase by 10 percent and speed and defense by 5 percent with every ten ranks. Though he trusted Grandmaster, Lu Yuan preferred to keep some of his abilities hidden.

Grandmaster was surprised, this Spirit Skill was too powerful to be a first Spirit Skill. One must remember that Dai Mubai, with his White Tiger Martial Soul, received his spirit skill "White Tiger Vajra Transformation" only after his third Spirit Ring and it was from a 1500-year-old spirit beast. Grandmaster was also surprised because the Golden Dragon Fist was primarily an offensive skill, yet it had the added effect of enhancing stats, which was unprecedented.

He wondered if the Golden Dragon truly was that powerful.

Additionally, the Golden Dragon Fist, although an offensive skill, also improved speed and defense simultaneously, which was due to not just the power of the Golden Dragon Martial Soul, but also partly because of the Prime Demon Ape's Spirit Ring.

"Can I see the power of your Spirit Skill, Little Yuan?" Grandmaster asked, trying to maintain his composure.

"Of course," Lu Yuan replied.

"Golden Dragon Possession!" Lu Yuan activated his Spirit Skills, golden scales covering his face and his arm muscles bulging, with diamond-shaped dragon scales covering his arms. A yellow-colored soul ring with a hint of purple hovered around his body.

Upon coming across a large tree over ten meters tall, Lu Yuan raised his right arm and shouted, "First Spirit Skill, Golden Dragon Fist!"

A golden dragon head emerged from his fist as he punched the tree trunk with a loud bang. Splinters of wood flew everywhere as the tree, over ten meters tall, collapsed with a loud crash.

Grandmaster stepped forward, examining the broken trunk on the ground, where a clear fist mark was visible. The punch had broken all the veins in the log, causing the entire trunk to shatter into small pieces of wood. The force of this punch was tremendous.

Inhaling a breath of cold air, Grandmaster said, "Judging by the degree of shattering of the tree trunk, the force of this punch was at least over 6500 pounds."

6500 pounds is a formidable force, capable of instantly incapacitating a non-defensive Spirit Elder, and even potentially killing them if their physique is weaker. However, this does not mean that Lu Yuan can defeat a Spirit Elder, as they would not simply stand still and let him hit them in a real battle.

The only thing that could be said for certain was that Lu Yuan had the ability to seriously injure a Spirit Elder, and being able to have an attack that could injure a Spirit Elder in the Spirit Master Realm was already very rare.

Tang San couldn't help but narrow his eyes, being honest, could he withstand such a force hitting his body? The answer was no.

Although Tang San was a spirit twin, compared to the increased physical quality, even the Blue Silver Emperor and Clear Sky Hammer combined were not as strong as the Golden Dragon. If Tang San wanted to surpass Lu Yuan in the future, unless all of his twin Martial Souls were filled with Spirit Rings, there wasn't even half a chance of doing so.

"Not bad". Lu Yuan said, pleased with the results. The Prime Demon Ape's Spirit Ring had brought him great benefits, making him unbeatable in the Spirit Master Realm.

Grandmaster's gaze shifted to Lu Yuan and said, "You have certainly grown stronger with the absorption of the Prime Demon Ape's Spirit Ring. I would estimate that your soul power is now at least rank 14."

"You're right, my soul power has greatly advanced after absorbing the Prime Demon Ape's Spirit Ring, it's in rank 14 now". Lu Yuan confirmed.

It was not surprising that Lu Yuan's soul power had jumped three ranks, given the power of the Prime Demon Ape's Spirit Ring.

Lu Feng was overjoyed at Lu Yuan's newfound strength and said, "Now that all of your Spirit Ring absorptions are complete, it's time for us to return to the Academy."

"Indeed, it's time to go back". Grandmaster concurred.

Naturally, Lu Yuan and Tang San would have no objection, so they quickly gathered their belongings and followed the two back to the Academy.
