Chapter 6 Musings

It was the day after, and today Chen Jin was in a better mood. The letter was not forgotten, especially since it did not say who exactly wanted to use them as leverage against his grand uncle (and wasn't it cool that he was related to a title), but as a bearded old man once said, 'it doesn't do to dwell in dream and forget to live' or something like that, he isn't sure.

He had already left the house today, he was a bit exited, so many things that he wanted to do.

'Learning to control my spirit power for one, but I believe that is just a matter of time' he thought as he sat down at his usual place, 'today there are quite a bit more clouds' he mused as he looked to the sky.

Chen Jin frowned suddenly as he looked down 'I want to find a way to condense my own spirit rings, but I have no idea where to start' he was a bit down about that, but he had time, he did awaken two years before scheduled.

'Understanding my is also important, in the novels body spirits, any spirits really, were never fully explained, but more body spirits' he was looking at the sky while absentmindedly playing with the grass.

'It was only said if they were better for agility, attack, support or control along with any attributes if they had any, that is a severe lach of information' he thought as he let himself fall sideways into the grass.

Chen Jin put his arms behind his head as he continued 'I never understood why spirits did not give more than just a boost in the majority of the time, if a spirit beast in nature has the natural ability to control fire, why should its martial soul not give it? Maybe it's weak at the beginning and needs to be trained up?' he was frowning as he thought.

'It always seemed rather stupid that spirits like a fire phoenix or dragon need a spirit ring to send the equivalent to a fire ball'.

Chen Jins frown was becoming more pronounced as his thought process continued 'it seems unnatural, but I do not believe that there asn't been anyone who did research on that, is there something that makes it harder to make spirit abilities or blocks natural talents?'

Chen Jin was only making conjectures, but he truly found it unnatural that someone with a spirit like a shadow leopard, who could innately travel between shadows, could not do the same.

He smacked his face twice and slowly got up as he thought 'either way, those doubts will be answered sooner or later, today I want to understand how exactly my spirit works, and I won't get anywhere if I continue to let my thoughts wander' It was already mid morning after all.
