Chapter 7: Promise

After an unknown period of time, Tang Wulin naturally awakened from his state of meditation.

However, he was given a fright when he saw his father sitting opposite of him.

"Dad, how come you're home so early?" Tang Wulin asked in astonishment.

Tang Ziran smiled, "I'm not early. It's already night time. I see that you've already learnt meditation? It seems the Red Mountain Academy's education is pretty good!"

Tang Wulin excitedly responded, "That's right! It seems that I can meditate now. Thanks on Xiao Ran for helping me out. Earlier, it felt as if many little things entered my body, dad. Afterwards, my soul power began increasing. Can this be considered as learning meditation?"

Tang Ziran was startled within his heart. "Yes, that's right. You've learned how to meditate. It seems that my son's comprehension abilities are pretty good!" Tang Ziran has always been generous with praise towards his son.

"Dad, Have you seen Xiao Ran? I can't seems to find him?"

Tang Wulin after noticing that Xiao Ran was nowhere near him when He first started meditating.

"Oh? Are you talking about the cute boy that is currently sleeping on our sofa. "

Tang Ziran informed Tang Wulin before He started talking seriously about the matter that happened earlier.

After a while Tang Ziran finished educating his son and bought the matter of Na'er.

Tang Ziran smiled. "Good then. Let's discuss the next matter regarding about the little girl you have brought home.

It was only now that Tang Wulin remembered the matter of Na'er and hurriedly asked, "Dad, has Na'er found her family? She's certainly very pretty."

Tang Ziran shook his head. "Your mother brought her to the administrative office to inquire, but we didn't find her information."

Tang Wulin asked, "Then what's going to happen to her?"

Tang Ziran responded, "You tell dad. What do you want to do?"

Tang Wulin pondered over this. "How about we let her live with us dad? Is that alright?"

Tang Ziran revealed a smile that wasn't quite a smile as he look at him. "Live in our house? Mom and dad couldn't possibly take care of two children!"

Tang Wulin hastily said, "I can take care of her. I can look after her after school."

Tang Ziran smiled. "Alright then. Let's go wake up your friend over their and eat first."

Tang Wulin entered the living room which he quickly noticed Xiao Ran and Na'er fast asleep in the sofa together.

"Mom, why are they both fast asleep in the couch?"

As Tang Wulin bewildered by such situation as he thought that he'll only wakes up Xiao Ran.

Lang Yue couldn't help but smile, "Well when we both came home with Na'er, Xiao Ran was already fast asleep in the couch and I need to cook so I told Na'er to sit in the table for a while yet maybe because she was tired so I guess she also sits in the couch and fell asleep accidentally."

Tang Wulin was still unclear in the situation yet spoke loudly as to wake up the sleepy bird Which made Xiao Ran wakes up slowly.

Xiao Ran slowly open his eyes and felt a bit heavy yet when he noticed Na'er was sleeping besides him, He instantly panicked and sits up straight while Na'er feeling sudden movement of Xiao Ran was awoken too.

"Eh? Na'er why are you besides me sleeping."

Xiao Ran asked as he was quite in a predicament he never thought that would ever happen to him.

"Hmm Good Morning Big Brother."

Na'er spoke while rubbing her eyes still feeling sleepy.

Lang Yue called the children and let Xiao Ran and Na'er to wash up their face before they started having dinner.

Lang Yue mentioned, "We couldn't find any records on this child. We can only send her to the orphanage."

"No! Let Na'er stay mom." Tang Wulin spoke in his seat before waving his hand up. "Don't send her to the orphanage. Can't we let her stay here? At worst, I'll just have to eat a little less in the future."

Lang Yue said, "Linlin, you can't do as you wish and take the place of her family. You have to ask Na'er if she wants to stay here or go to the orphanage!"

Tang Wulin immediately turned around, looking directly at Na'er. "Na'er, why don't you stay with us? My mom makes really good food, and my dad is really nice. You can live together with me, and I'll definitely protect you."

Unexpectedly, Na'er look at Xiao Ran before reaching out her hand and hold Xiao Ran which took everyone in surprise.

"Na'er I think it's better for you to stay here with Tang Wulin Family." Xiao Ran gently spoke to Na'er before looking at Lang Yue. "Aunty can I ask you for a favor and adopt Na'er as I think orphanage wouldn't be a good choice for her and she might be bullied by the other kids who will envy her and I really think you all are really nice people and could give Na'er the warmth she needs."

Lang Yue and Tang Ziran was taken by surprise at how the young boy spoke yet even bowed right in front of them.

Na'er watching this unfold slowly tear up as she knows that the boy have only done this for her sake.

Tang Wulin also began to follow and spoke to his parents, "Mom, Dad I've always wanted to have a younger sister. Can you let Na'er stay and be my younger sister? "

Tang Ziran and Lang Yue looked at each other before sighed helplessly and agreed to their request which made the two boys jump with joy.

Afterwards, it was discovered that the children were unable to control their hunger. Despite the fact that Lang Yue had made extra food today, it still wasn't enough to satisfy the two big eaters. That was right, not only did Tang Wulin's food capacity increase, that petite body of Na'er's was also a bottomless pit. Unexpectedly, her stomach wasn't any smaller than Tang Wulin's. They even ate the lunch Lang Yue had prepared for Tang Ziran to eat the next day. Even after all that, they didn't look satisfied at all. While Xiao Ran eat minimal.

It was already quite late so Xiao Ran began to say goodbye to Tang Wulin and His family yet Na'er was still feeling a little bit reluctance even though they we're out the house and are the only ones outside as Tang Wulin and his parents we're inside the house.

"Na'er we would still meet again tomorrow and there is also Tang Wulin who is your big brother right now so you are not already alone. "

Xiao Ran gently spoke after a few minutes of convincing Na'er yet she was still unwilling to let go and lowered her head.

"Hey How about I make you a promise so that no matter what happens our bond would never be broken."

Which made Na'er look up at him while Xiao Ran took Na'er hands and hook both of their little finger with each other.

In the clear Starry Sky a promise was made underneath the perfect Moon. Yet unknown to Xiao Ran the promise he told unknowingly intertwined their fate with each other and slowly changing the story without knowing it.

A promise that would be held for thousands of years and in the future people will clebrate this Day as the Promise day.
