Chapter 4: Class Starts

Sound of small bird flying could be heard inside of a room as sunshine crept through the window. Xiao Ran awoken by the noise outside and suddenly stood up as he recalled the sudden pain he felt after almost completing the fusion.

"Oh sh*t, Wait let me check if the fusion was complete complete."

Xiao Ran began to meditate and soon after a yellow light ring slowly rose around his feet and revolved rhythmically around his body. Xiao Ran also released his martial soul lightning and unconsciously made his eyes glow red.

Xiao Ran exclaimed and as he begins to take a deeper look on his ability a knocking on the door could be heard.

"Xiao Ran wake up!! You are going to be late on the first day of school."

The sister spoke which alerted Xiao Ran as he completely forgot that today was the day he would begin attending the academy. He had officially entered the Red Mountain Academy's Soul Master class.

Xiao Ran hurriedly opened the door and quickly refreshen up also changed his clothes to an ordinary Black T-shirt and black baggy pants not noticing that he had increasingly grew charming and having silver white strand in his hair.

The orphanage was quite far away from Red Mountain Academy so Xiao Ran didn't have enough time to take a breakfast and hurriedly run to the Academy.

As He approach the Academy he noticed that the School Gate is about to close so he quickly run and enter.

The Soul Master class specially had a teacher at the front doors to welcome the new students. Clearly, they were treated much better than the ordinary students.

This year's Soul Master class only had 16 studens, the number of children who had awakened soul power were simply too low. It was even more apparent in a small city like Glorybound City. This year's arrivals could actually be considered a lot.

He noticed that a student was disheartened after some student approached him and was about to encourage him when a teacher appear in their class.

"Hello everyone. I'm your homeroom teacher, Lin Ximeng. I'll be teaching you the basic knowledge required for Soul Masters over the next three years. How about you all introduce yourselves now? Tell us your name, martial soul and innate soul power rank."

There were only 16 students, so the introductions went by quickly. When Li Ximeng heard that Tang Wulin's martial soul was Bluesilver Grass, he couldn't help but be startled while the other students roared with laughter yet Xiao Ran couldn't help but coldly Smirk and about to mocked them when the teacher called out his name.

Li Ximeng and other students couldn't help but astonish by the fact there is a genius among them and some are about to befriend with him but the aura he release makes them think otherwise which also makes them quickly forgot about Tang Wulin.

Lin Ximeng quickly regained his composure and smiled. "Today is your first day of class, so I'll be explaining the different classifications for martial souls first. In the afternoon, I'll teach you how to meditate. Meditation is the only way to temper and improve your soul power. If you want to become a true Soul Master, then you all must strive your hardest."

"As you all know, everyone in our world has a martial soul. One's martial soul awakens at the age of six, and it can be anything. If one also awakens soul power, then they can cultivate to become a Soul Master. Now a question for all of you, what classifications are there for martial souls?"

"First of all, the two main classes are tool souls and beast souls. Among them, all of the martial souls that appear on the body are beast souls. If they appear separately from the body, then they're tool souls. By cultivating your soul power, you're able to upgrade your martial soul. After your soul power reaches rank 10, then you're able to become a Soul Master."

"There are also two main classes of Soul Masters. The Battle Soul Masters and Utility Soul Masters. Those who cultivate with the goal of fighting are Battle Soul Masters. Regardless of what someone's martial soul is, they are still a Soul Master. There are also many minor classifications…"

Xiao Ran couldn't help but feel sleepy as he already known about these fact and quickly got bored.

Time pass by quickly and soon it was lunch time, As he was about to quickly eat he noticed a particular student who keeps on eating so much rice and many looking at him yet some are quietly mocking him.

Xiao Ran began to ponder if he needs to help Tang Wulin now but decided that it wasn't worth it and there are no student has cause him harm so he found a corner seat and began to eat.

Afternoon Class began and the teacher began to instructing the students on how to meditate and unsurprisingly Xiao Ran already began meditating before the teacher instructing him.

After two hours Xiao Ran began to noticed that one student seems to be left alone and was least being instruct by the teacher.

Xiao Ran was about to ignore him but looking at Tang Wulin he can't help but soften his heart as knowing the plot he knows that Tang Wulin suffer quite a lot and mocked just because he has the weakest spirit soul.

(So our Mc is like a Big Brother at this point and because he had a little brother before so he unconsciously see himself as a big brother.)

Xiao Ran approach Tang Wulin who was currently being ignored.

"Hey let me teach on how to meditate."

Xiao Ran calmly said into which made Tang Wulin excited and was about to agree when he noticed Xiao Ran.

"Um I don't want to take your time and I'll just wait for the teacher to instruct me."

Which made Xiao Ran a little bit irritated as knowing that the teacher would give the least amount of time to teach Tang Wulin.

"No your not taking my time and I'm already done for the day to meditate anyway so I have nothing to do for the rest of the time."

Xiao Ran explained while sitting besides Tang Wulin and began to instruct Tang Wulin.

Time passed and it was soon time for them to head home. Two young boys walked out of the Red Mountain Academy's gates. We could clearly see an extremely cute child that heights around five yrs old while the other child is seemingly excited to talk with the other kid had a pretty big eyes that wouldn't lose to a girl.
