Chapter 11: Last Day

Na'er looked out towards the ocean, then looked up towards the stars. "There sure are a lot of stars tonight, big brother!"

Tang Wulin laugh while Xiao Ran was only watching as he knew Na'er had slowly remembers her past.

"If I left one day, would you miss me?" Na'er asked as she raised her head to look at Tang Wulin. Her petite face was even more fairy-like under the splendor of the moon and stars.

Tang Wulin dumbly asked, "Why? Are you going to leave?"

Na'er pouted, "I'm just asking if I leave."

Tang Wulin replied, "You're my little sister. Of course I would miss you. I would really, really miss you. Eh, have you grown a bit taller, Na'er? You're nearly up to my nose now."

"I'll miss you too. I'll really, really miss you." Na'er gave an answer beside the point. Her large purple eyes seemed to contain a hazy layer of water.

Tang Wulin happily embraced her by her shoulders. "We're together everyday, so we don't have to miss each other. I've already talked it over with mom and dad. Once I have entered an intermediate academy with Xiao Ran, you'll be coming with us to attend an academy in the same city. Big brother and your Brother Ran will always protect you."

Silently, the radiance in Na'er's eyes dimmed and she rested her head on Tang Wulin's shoulder which surprisingly Xiao Ran never spoke a word while seemingly lost.

Late at night Xiao Ran had already headed back into his dormitory and couldn't help but remember the plot, he knows that tomorrow would be the last day they could see Na'er again.

Xiao Ran couldn't sleep at all so he decided to skip his class today and headed to Tang Wulin's house.

Lang Yue spoke and surprised that Xiao Ran was at their house while Na'er who heard the voice of Xiao Ran stop for a bit before deciding to meet him.

Xiao Ran nods which makes the latter smile happily as knowing that Na'er was a little odd these past few days and only Xiao Ran could make Na'er laugh happily.

"Na'er come here. Your Brother Ran is here for you and said he'll take you somewhere fun."

Lang Yue spoke inside the house and few moments later Na'er appeared besides the door.

Xiao Ran and Na'er leaves the house not before Lang Yue told them to be home early as to happily celebrate Tang Wulin which Xiao Ran happily complied.

Xiao Ran and Na'er didn't speak much along the way but held each other's hand. Xiao Ran have decided that He would make this the most wonderful day for Na'er so He brought her in different places that he knows that Na'er would love to go.

Few minutes later Na'er slowly smiled and along the way they attracted a lot of attention as they we're extremely cute child. A lot of people we're affected by their cute interaction and could help but also smile towards them.

Soon time pass by quickly and knowing it was about time they head back home Xiao Ran suggested to go home which instantly made Na'er go quiet but still followed Xiao Ran suggestions.

As they we're heading home Xiao Ran saw an ice Cream vendor so He quickly bought 10 different types of Ice cream. Na'er quickly took the Ice cream from Xiao Ran as her favourite dessert was Ice Cream.

It was quite tranquility along the way and with the warm sun gently shines upon them they felt peace and serene.

By the time they got home everyone was already waiting for them and Tang Ziran was depressed that he kept blaming himself for being a failure to his son and left shortly.

Tang Wulin who was also supposed to be depressed to the point he shed a tear for he got a defective soul spirit yet different from the plot Tang Wulin was happily speaking to them as if the defective soul spirit was a small matter and was optimistic about it. Tang Wulin joyfully began heading to his room and told them that he would fuse with his spirit soul and show them later his spirit soul ability.

After eight hours later Tang Ziran came home with so many federation coins and hurriedly find Tang Wulin but got stop by Xiao Ran.

"Uncle, Tang Wulin had already began fusing with his spirit soul after you left."

Xiao Ran calmly replied while lazily laying at the couch with Na'er besides him which got Tang Ziran worried as it shouldn't take eight hours to fuse with a spirit soul.

Tang Ziran hurriedly opened Tang Wulin's room After he opened the door, Tang Ziran saw Tang Wulin lying on the bed.

"Lin Lin!" He cried as he flew over to Tang Wulin's side.

The spirit soul ball was left beside the bed, already devoid of the Grass Snake spirit soul. Tang Wulin's brow creased as he lay on the bed, his clothes completely soaked in sweat.

Tang Ziran blamed himself within his heart. He thoroughly understood that such a situation shouldn't have occurred during a spirit soul fusion. It was highly likely that his son encountered an accident while he was fusing.

Xiao Ran sighed before also entering the room.

"Uncle it isn't your fault and besides Tang Wulin wasn't that sad having a defective soul also Tang Wulin wasn't in any kind of danger well he was just got tired and fell asleep."

Tang Ziran looks at Xiao Ran and knowing that the young boy was right as he was more knowledgeable than him.

The sky had darkened outside of the window. Surprisingly, it was already evening.

Tang Wulin still remembered that he had begun fusing in the morning. It had actually taken him this long?

Aside from Lang Yue, Tang Ziran,Xiao Ran, and Na'er, there was one other person. That person was Tang Wulin's forging teacher, Mang Tian.

Tang Wulin hadn't gone to work that day, so Mang Tian had called over with a soul communicator. After finding out about this matter, he immediately rushed over.

"I'm fine mom." Tang Wulin softly said.

Lang Yue looked down towards her son and firmly said, "Son, let's not try to become Soul Masters anymore, just staying as an ordinary person is fine."

Tang Wulin smiled. "Mom, I really am fine! It's just that I'm a true Soul Master now. I'm at rank 11. My fusion finished without a hitch. That Grass Snake spirit soul was really suitable for my martial soul. If it was a powerful spirit soul, I can't say for sure that I would have been able to fuse with it."

Xiao Ran quietly watch as Tang Wulin showed his martial soul and Meng Tian began inspecting it.

Which got everyone confused well almost everyone and Meng Tian began explaining about the Variant Martial Soul.

Tang Wulin was happy that his Martial soul wasn't trashy any longer and happily jumped towards Meng Tian which surprised him a little as how light Tang Wulin is.

After Mang Tian left, the Tang family's cloud of worries and fog of cruelty had transformed into an atmosphere of joy.

"I'm sorry mom, dad. I made you two worry." Tang Wulin was somewhat ashamed as he said this while Lang Yue quickly followed up that they should be the one saying sorry for having him to bear a large burden while he was still a child.

Tang Ziran lowered his head as if to contemplate some unknown matters.

Na'er's lips quivered a bit. It seemed that she wanted to say something, but wasn't able to do so in the end. Xiao Ran noticed this and sighed before deciding something out of the plot.

After eating dinner, Xiao Ran told everyone that they should go out and have a family walk before going to sleep as the beautiful sun was still setting.

Everyone happily agreed and they walk around the beach for a while before Xiao Ran slowed down his step then took out a camera and quietly took a picture at them.

Xiao Ran stopped walking and felt out of place looking at the happy family in front of him makes him also wonder his past life.

Xiao Ran was so lost in thought that he didn't notice a silent tear fell through his eyes.
