Chapter 9 - Black Rose
Daniel was really surprised when the set of twin guns materialized in his hands. Not only because of the information that appeared in his head telling him about the guns but also because of their design. They are almost completely identical to the Taurus silver model guns that Tatsuya used and hence Daniel knows to use. The only thing that differentiate between the Taurus silver model guns and Black Rose as the guns in his hand are called is that they are predominately black in color instead of the silver white of the Taurus silver and are decorated with red motif.
As Daniel was admiring the twin guns he was also thinking how it was possible for the guns to be his secone spirit. As far as he knows, it was impossible for the guns to be a spirit let alone the one with abilities as overpowered as the ones his posses. The second spirit of his has the abilities to use spirit energy as external energy instead of the internal it usually is. This was good because this means that as long as he possesses spirit energy, he possesses attack power. But the truly disturbing and dangerous part about his spirit is that once a day it is capable of producing a special bullet. A bullet with the same capabilities as Kiritsugus origin bullet. That means that as long as certain condition are met, he can kill or at the very least cripple a spirit master, even one titled Douluo or perhaps even a god.
The implications of this hit him very hard and he started thinking how it would affect his plans. After thinking about it he decided that it won't affect much of his starting phase at all. All plans that it would affect are later ones and even then it would be his trump card. From now on he would not even summon his second spirit much less train it because it was better that it remains as a mystery so it can be used as a hidden trump card. And he has already started thinking about the growth direction for his second spirit. He was going to train his second spirit as a long range attack type spirit. Combined with his minds eye, it was going to help him snipe enemies before they even can see a visual of him.
Dismissing the spirit guns he starts thinking about what he has to do tomorrow. Tomorrow he was going to go see old man Hu. He was going to complete the treatment that he had started. When he found old man Hu he was very surprised. Through his minds eye he was able to see that he had a very large amount of spirit energy. But it seems that he was no longer able to use any of it, almost like someone had deliberately crippled him. He was three when he found old man Hu for the first time and it took him nearly 1 year of helping around and being the nice boy everyone sees him as for old man Hu to finally open up to him enough for him to tell him what happened to him. Turns out that he was once a title Douluo of rank 94. One day when he was minding his own business an envoy of spirit hall appeared before him and basically ordered him to go into the service of spirit hall. When he declined the offer the envoy left saying he would regret not agreeing to the decree. Almost a week after when he was traveling around he was suddenly ambushed by 3 other titled Douluo and then lost the fight. After losing when he was ready for his life to come to the end, the envoy of spirit hall stepped from behind the men and laughed at him and said "Are you regretting declining now?" Then he ordered the other men to cripple him and leave him to die in the forest. After doing so they quickly left.
It was only luck that he was able to survive and after surviving he quickly settled down in the remote city lest they find out he survived and come back to finish the job.
Daniel has been helping the old man get his cultivation back for 2 years now and has been able to get the old man back to rank 87 spirit Douluo. Now only the final treatment is left that would take a mere 1 month and then the old man would be back to his full strength. In return for helping the old man get his cultivation back, he has sworn loyalty to him. These are not more words but a special oath that Daniel discovered completely by accident that has to be followed or your very spirit essence would rebel against you. Now tomorrow is the day the final treatment will start and one month from then he will have a titled Douluo that is completely loyal to him and would be the first step towards completing plan.
