96 Second Round, First Match (Part 1)

So here's another chapter. Enjoy.

I might be able to post another two chapters in the coming next two days as I've got three day leave from one of the jobs, the day one, because of the ongoing festival [Dussehra] , so I do have some free time on my hand.

Also please give some Power Stones if you can and make this fanfic to appear atleast in top 50. Cause I think many of the previous reader hasn't been informed that I have came back from hiatus. That's all.

"Um, I think you are underestimating us, teacher. Even though the Elephant Armored Academy boast impenetrable defense on the same level but isn't our team prepared and trained to fight these kinds of situation. Even though I won't be participating in this match I do have full confidence in Tang San and the others. Though I would advise to change few members."

After Grandmaster told them about the strength Elephant Armored Academy, everyone became a little tensed but the next word of Tang Ming immediately relieved them.

Elephant Armored Academy has the over the top defense? So what. They were trained to beat any and all types of opponents no matter what their speciality is. And even if the opponents possess great strength, they can't be more of a monster than Tang Ming, right?

Thinking this, their tensed nerved eased up slightly as they all were again filled up with fighting spirits.

"Yes, what Ming'ge said is true. We have trained so hard for this tournament, we can't let a single Elephant Armored Academy make us back down. And there are going to be more stronger opponents than Elephant Armored Academy later in the tournament, we can't just give in to opponents strength every time, now can we? I have decided, 'We will fight and we will win'."

Tang San said with determination as everyone else also hummed in agreement.

Grandmaster also had a smile on his face seeing this.

"Good, good. That's the spirit. If you all have decided to forfeit this match, I and every teacher of Shrek Academy would have been greatly disappointed in you. Afterall we didn't train some run of the mill geniuses, we trained monsters who would fight till the end and show everyone what Shrek Academy is capable of."

Zhao Wuji chimed in as he looked at everyone of them with appreciation. Afterall, even if it wasn't mentioned, he was the teacher who supported and taught them most, more than everyone else, even more than Grandmaster and Tang Ming. He had practiced with them everyday and had provided guidance to anyone related to any situation clearly, anytime someone asked.

Even Tang Ming had to admit that out of everyone present, Zhao Wuji is the one with the most experience. The man literally pointed his middle finger at Spirit Hall and escaped their large number of encirclement unscathed and is still live and kicking, even though most of the encirclement consists of Spirit Emperor and Spirit Saint, its not to be forgotten that he too was just a late Spirit Emperor.

And to be honest, he respected Zhao Wuji the most out of everyone and has a soft spot for him which can be seen by how he secretly went to help him hunt his eighth spirit ring in disguise. No one else knows that Zhao Wuji eighth spirit ring age is more than eighty thousand years old, except for him and Zhao Wuji.

Before he might have been a little weaker than Liu Erlong but now he can easily challenge and defeat anyone below Titled Douluo level even though he is only an early Spirit Douluo...

"Tell me, what do you propose?"

Grandmaster asked Tang San.

"I'm thinking like this. Three of us Shrek main members appeared in the last fight, this fight we adjust it slightly. Xiao Wu replaces Tai Long, Oscar replace Jiang Zhu, if five of us can't even defeat the opponents, how can we take the final championship?"

Hearing Tang San speak, Grandmaster nodded in understanding.

"Pretty good strategy. It seems you've already planned in advance."

"Can't say that, anything can happen in the match. But I believe this is the best way to fight the Elephant Armored Academy, it'll give us a chance at victory without exposing our full strength."

Tang San brows wrinkled slightly mentioning this.

"Young master San, why not let me fight? Aren't the opponents all defense and strength type Spirit Masters? Me also being a strength type Spirit Master should be able to easily block them head on. There's no questioning about my ability to take a good beating."

"You dumb Orangutan, what are you bragging about your ability to take a beating? And Xiao San let Xiao Wu take your place is because he's not planning to fight head on in the first place. No one's doubting your strength, it's strategic planning, you muscle headed oaf."

Tang Ming gave Tai Long a look which the latter just shrugged and scratched the back of his head while giving a silly smile.

"How would I know that? You all should atleast elaborate your plans."

Everyone laughed seeing this.

"Tang San, you arrange it." Dai Mubai said.

Tang San nodded, gathering the fighters around him and started to explain the tactics he had in mind. Grandmaster, Flender, Zhao Wuji and Liu Erlong listened quietly in the side without adding further opinions. They all understood that relying on their own strength band wisdom to temper themselves in battle, was the best method for these little genius monsters to grow.

The Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament third day competition officially began.

Only ten of the twenty eight competing teams walked into the arena. The spacious arena was already arranged differently from the first day.

Besides the original stage Tang San and the others used in the first match, another four equally sized platforms were built to the sides. Despite this, the Heaven Dou Great Spirit Arena that was capable of holding eighty thousand people still didn't appear crowded.

The twenty eight teams fighting on this third day were split into three parts, Shrek Academy being the part of the first. As a result of their terrifying display in the first match, as well as the expectations from the Elephant Armored Academy to be able to compete for the first place, the match between them was arranged for the central main stage.

As a major occasion that only happened every several years, plus the attraction competing Spirit Masters held to all parties, today the VIPs present on the viewing platform were practically nothing like the first day opening ceremony. Not only was the upper crust of the Empire all here, Emperor Xue Ye still sat in the centre of the first row.

However, today the people at his side had changed from three to five. Besides the sect master Ning Fenghzi of Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda Clan, Elder Lin Peng of Immortals Love and Platinum Bishop Salas of Spirit Hall, there were another two people present. One was one of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda Clan's two Titled Douluo, Bone Douluo Gu Rong.

The other person was comparatively strange. Let alone attracting the gazes of a lot of people in the VIP section, even spectators on both sides paid attention to him. Because, this person's appearance really was a bit extraordinary.

His body was ginormous compared to everyone else present and even when he was sitting he was a lot taller than most people standing up. The Bone Douluo's build was already very lofty and tall compared to a normal person, but compared to this person, he still fell a bit short. Estimating his height by a person's eye, he was atleast 2.5m or more as he occupied three person seats by himself. He was packed with over abundance of muscles and his dark skin added more to his fierceness. Just sitting there he gave a very powerful impression.

"I didn't expect Heaven Elephant Hu Yan Zhen to also appear today."

Bone Douluo at this time said to Ning Fenghzi with spirit communication.

"When you see who Elephant Armored Academy's opponents today is k, you'll understand. I'm afraid the reason Salas called Hu Yan Zhen over is also because of them."

"It seems this Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament is getting more and more interesting. "Why not? Even though the Elephant Armored Academy isn't weak, their flaws are extremely clear. "Good Afternoon everyone, now today starts the beginning of second round of qualifiers. The first match of the second round is between the Shrek Academy and Elephant Armored Academy. Let's invite Shrek Academy first."

Ning Fenghzi also looked toward the two team walking on the central stage. He had met all the Shrek Seven Devils, and looking at the line up for this match he immediately understood that Shrek Academy decided to not go all out. The ones he saw going up first were Dai Mubai, Huang Yuan, Jing Ling, Tang San, Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing and Oscar.

Seeing this he helplessly shook his head, saying to the Bone Douluo at his side :

"These Shrek Academy is really ferocious, they're confronting the Elephant Armored Academy but still decided to not use their full force. Fortunately they've atleast changed two members, I hope they don't lose."

As soon as Shrek Academy entered the Arena, the crowds erupted in cheers and why won't they? If the last performance is anything to go by then Shrek Academy is also one of the main contender for the first place in qualifiers this time.

"Look, that's Tang San. The one with the ten thousand years old fourth spirit ring."

"Wow! Dai Mubai is so handsome. I wanna marry him."

"Dai Mubai!! Please have a child with me!!"

"Damn you bitch! Have you looked at your face. Dare to say to have child with Handsome God Mubai. Courting Death!!"

"Woah! Who is that new beauty beside Tang San, she is so beautiful."

Even Shrek Academy was bewildered seeing this. This is quite the difference from the last time when they appeared on the stage. If last time welcome was like a chilly winter breeze then this time was warm sunlight in winter.

Dai Mubai even winked at the girls who were fawning at his appearance hoping to find some solace because of what happened to his relationship with Zhu Zhuqing.

'Looks like my charm has not faded yet. I'll definitely find another twin this time.'

Only if he knew his wish is going to be filled soon.

Even Xiao Wu sent flying kisses to her admirer as they nearly fainted because of her overloaded cuteness.

Right at this moment, the referee voice sounded :

"Now, let's welcome our second team, who is one of the main contender for the first place of Qualifiers, Elephant Armored Academy!"

There was a silence for a moment, as all the spectators gazes concentrated on the arriving team.

When the Elephant Armored Academy seven members stepped onto the stage, the whole platform started trembling from their pace.

What stepped on the stage basically didn't look normal at all. They were like seven meat mountains. They all wore golden brown coloured big pants and are bare chested showing their upper body muscles proudly to everyone.

The smallest member of the team was already two metres tall while the tallest surpassed two metres fifty . Standing in front of them Shrek looked like children compared to their huge and massive built which annoyed the Shrek Devils too as they have to look up to see their faces.

Compared to their heights, even more frightening was their weight. Tang San estimated that the smallest one weighs atleast more than 200 kgs and the tallest perhaps 250kgs.

They all have same black hair, shaved short on both sides with only hair in middle combed into a ponytail with dark tanned skin gave an impression like a solid city wall, looking down upon Shrek Academy.

And if expression were anything to go by then Xiao Wu looked pissed as hell right now.

Standing in the middle was a particular doughty giant who took a step forward. As his feet landed, the entire stage made a booming sound as it trembled violently.

"Elephant Armored Academy team, Captain, Hu Yanli. 43rd-ranked defense system, Battle Spirit Ancestor."

Xiao Wu suddenly pinched Dai Mubai's waist as she glared at him. As if knowing what she wants, he immediately stepped forward with his head raised high full of arrogance.

"Shrek Academy team, Captain, Dai Mubai. 47th-ranked power attack system, Battle Spirit Ancestor."

"Both team, salute." The referee called out.

The both team led by Hu Yanli and Dai Mubai bowed to each other as the mood in the ring became serious in a split second.

"Qualifiers second round, first match, officially begins."
