20 Living in the forest part 6

Authors note: not much really changed in this chapter since the last version except the ending. So if you want to skip to the part where he becomes a soul reaper and read from there that would be great or you can reread the whole thing thats fine too.

Since reaching rank 90 I have not absorbed my 9th ring nor have I ues the vitality stored in the orb to consolidate my cultivation since rank 80. this has resulted in me using the last year to fully integrate Aizens memories and have a qualitative leap in my Genjutsu capabilities with the added bonus of allowing me to use higher level kido that was previously unavailable.

After storing up a years worth of vitality I had enough spirit essence stored up to age one spirit ring to the million year mark rather than age two rings to the 500,000 age mark. After taking a deep breath I was able to nudge the energy into my 8th spirit ring and watch as it went from white to yellow, then yellow to purple before turning black. It went from black to red and continued to deepen until it finally reached a golden color signifying a million year soul ring.

Once the energy in the ring had settled I dived into the the empty ability slot and made my way over to the truly powerful abilities. After taking a moment I chose Yamamoto Banki.

Extreme heat suddenly filled my dimension as I saw the birth of a sun high up providing my dimension with a stable light source. Waves of heat slowly spread out and enveloped my entire dimension bathing everything within golden flames before I saw the absolute ice essence rise and battle with the overwhelming heat. Slowly the energies started to harmonize and everything within my realm was bathed in the two conflicting energies.

Slowly everything within my dimension that had a link to my saul was gaining immunity to both the heat of absolute fire essence and the cold accompanying the absolute ice essence. Once I gained immunity to the heat I was able to feel my dimension evolving and slowly everything within my domain gained perfect harmonization. Since all the abilities were given form from my soul they were able to incorporate my immunity to both of the extreme temperatures and thrive in this dimension that held perfect harmonization of two opposing elements.

Since the flames of Yamamotos bankai were too powerful to be let loose outside this dimension I resolved to only use them in the douluo world once I had gained perfect control of their temperature and was able to bring them down to a reasonable level. I didn't want to destroy the entire spirit forest so for now my destructive flames stayed in this dimension.

Another year quickly went by in which I collected enough spirit essence for another million year soul ring but my control over my flames wasn't good enough to allow me perfect control so I decided to spend one more year focusing on my flames and consolidating all the battle experience of the captain comander and his bankai.

With all the battle experience granted to me every time I absorbed a new Bankai coupled with the initial 5 sets of memories that integrated when I first arrived at this world I was confident that no one could defeat me in battle due to the vast amount of fighting experience that has been integrated into the essence of my soul.

Once I reached my sixth year I knew that it was time to finally consolidate the remaining 10 years and truly reach the pinnacle of rank 90. I went out and absorbed a spirit ring before returning to my dimension and using a small portion of the energy from the vital orb to shroud my body in spirit energy. Slowly I felt my soul be cleansed and strengthened till at the peak of rank 90 I heard a snap and my soul separated from my body taking on the form of a shinigami.

After that came a qualitative leap in my spirit essence before my level quickly skyrocketed to the pinnacle of level 99 before stopping all together.

I was dumbstruck. I knew that after reaching rank 90 my body would take a qualitative leap especially considering the endless amount of vitality I have been feeding it to cleanse it of impurities, but I never expected this to happen.

With a sigh I looked down at the mortal shell that had become a very high quality gigai. Since it was grown along with my soul power it is probably the only gigai I would be able to inhabit without destroying.

A quick check on my condition revealed that my body and spirit have stopped aging and I was now imortal or as close to imortal as it gets without obtaining godhood.

When I looked at myself and thought I was forever trapped as a 12 year old like the eternal 12 year old captain in bleach Toshiro Hitsugaya. But a rudimentary scan using spirit energy quickly revealed that I was now able to control my physical age and had no need to worry over being stuck as a puberty stricken teen for all eternity. That would have sucked.

My life span had just been extended to the point that it would take millions of years to age my physical appearance naturaly by even one year so if I didn't want to arise suspicions I would need to age my body manually to simulate the appearance of aging.

"sigh what a drag"

after spending another hour brooding I finally looked over to my ninth spirit ring before giving a mental comand to the orb of vitality to age it a million years. The amount of vitality stored could easily raise 2 rings to the million age mark but I decided to only increase the age of my 9th ring by a million years.

After a quick mental selection of ichigos final banki form in which the bloodline of quincy, hollow, and soul reaper were perfectly mixed and I was able to witness my transformation.

when the ability activated I aged till I was about 21 years old and my hair turned black accompanies by the mummy wrappings showing off my perfectly compact lithe frame. I looked so hot and mysterious.

This ring was worth it even for just the transformation. a quick inspection allowed me to see that due to how vast and potent my reserves were I was able to maintain this form with no draw backs or regressions. My perfect control over my own energy prevents it from leaking out and leaving me powerless.

After getting used to my new strength I deactivated my spirit abilities and entered my gigai. I was back in my 12 year old body and ready to head to Shrek academy to watch the plot progress.
