Surprise

Tang Hao's eyes wandered around the two martial spirits levitating over Tang Beixuan's left and right hand respectively. Both of them looked very eye-catching. He couldn't help but feel shocked as he thought,

Tang San was dazed for a moment before he answered. Meanwhile, Beixuan didn't hesitate to say yes. After all, this was the world of Spirit Masters, where the strong prey on the weak.

He had three goals up to this point. Become stronger to protect his family. To achieve peace for him and his family. And his last goal which was not that important was to find out his and the system's origins.

Even if he had to burn the world just to complete those first two goals, then so be it. And all of those require strength, which he will acquire after he becomes a Spirit Master.

Seeing the two's reaction, Tang Hao couldn't help but sigh as his face looked like it aged.

"In the end, both of you will still trek this path." He spoke this sentence before he returned to his room.

Beixuan's spirit dispersed soon after he closed both of his hands. Beixuan suddenly remembered something,

"Dad!" Tang Beixuan shouted.

"Don't disturb me. I'll go sleep now." Tang Hao said behind the doors.

'You forgot to eat your meal!' Tang Beixuan wanted to continue, but Tang Hao had already spoken. In the end, Beixuan and Tang San ate together without Tang Hao while talking to each other about their training and Spirits.

After they finished eating, Tang San went into the smith and did some forging stuff for his Tang Sect's Hidden Weapons from his past life. He did have some hard time trying to lift the iron hammer, but he used his Mysterious Heaven Skill inner strength to compensate for his lack of physical strength.

On the corner, Tang Beixuan looked like he was meditating, but he was actually looking at the System interface to check what was new since the System said that it had some surprise for him after he awakens his Martial Spirit.

Tang Beixuan suddenly had a realization as he thought of the 'surprise' his System told him. Could the surprise be this? The consciousness of the System will finally cease to exist? He couldn't help but feel sad at this thought. After all, even though the System was kind of annoying, he was very helpful in terms of information.

He opened the system interface once more and went to the [Shop] function. Dozens of categories greeted his face.

He closed the Shop function as he opened the Mission function to find more about the SP thing. Unlike the last time when there was only one mission, there are now many missions posted.

Seeing the missions had no time limit and penalties, Beixuan sighed a relief and thought,

'Just like what the system told me, huh. They are not obligatory to do. I can ignore some of them. It would be horrifying if I suddenly found a mission that forces me to kill my family.'

'So this is where I will get SP...' Getting that horrible thought out of his mind, Tang Beixuan closed the Mission function and checked the Status function. He planned to check all functions to see if they changed or not.

Beixuan was surprised at the changes in the Status interface. Originally, it would only show the names, not the description. There were also changes like the Spirit Bone thingy. Overall, it was a good change.

He was shocked at the benefits of the Twin Spirit Master title and the abilities provided by the two other titles. Sure he already knew their names before he awakened his spirit and already guessed what their uses will be, but he still couldn't help but feel shocked.

After moving on from the shock, Beixuan also checked the other functions, [Inventory] and [Map], but nothing changed except for the Status, Shop, and Mission.

But there was still no explanation as to why the System disappeared. Although the body of the system is still there, the consciousness of the System was still nowhere to be found.

'System, just where are you exactly.' Tang Beixuan pondered, but no results came to him as to why the System's consciousness abandoned him.

[1] - Think about it. This is a very powerful ability. Why? You see, the chances of a Spirit Beast dropping Spirit Bones is very rare. But the possibility of it dropping can be increased if the Spirit Beast feels a huge amount of resentment upon death or if the Spirit Beast dies willingly and the Spirit Beast is grateful for their death. Basically, Beixuan can farm a huge amount of Spirit Bones if he wanted to.

[2] - Sorry I removed some abilities and replaced them. I realized that it would make no sense if Beixuan could manipulate Death Energy or Emotions this early. Instead, It would be better if I can make them be the abilities of his future Spirit Rings.
