61 Preparing the Travel?

1 month had quickly passed and the Prefinal Tournament finished. The matches hadn't been too surprising, most of the results already being more or less expected by Haotian or being completely useless, not even needing to know the result.

Over the Selection Tournament, the biggest surprise had been the Skywater Academy that was unable to pass the next round as they had lost some matches due to their injuries against Biyun and Meijing, losing too many matches until they were able to recover from them. Also, for some reason, Shui Yue Er, who didn't seem much injured, completely withdrew from the tournament, not being seen again.

In the end, Haotian's team became the undisputed winner without losing any match while never going with all their strength. Heaven Dou's matches against the favorites elemental academies had been pretty one-sided.

The Godwind Academy had been unable to unleash their full strength against Chenxiang as their opponent, dominating the wind and suppressing their spirits and the Elephant Armored Academy's great defend fell weak against Meijing's Seven Kill Sword that without using any spirit skill, Meijing was able to decimate their defense.

Their most difficult match had been against the Thunderclap Academy because they lacked an elemental overpowering unlike against the other, forcing them to fight more seriously.

However, in the end, Heaven Dou Academy was too strong. 5 Spirit Ancestors with top-notch spirits against their 3 Spirit Ancestors, not even the considered strongest beast spirit, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, was enough to go against them.

Haotian could remember his clash against the Thunderclap Academy's captain Yu Tianxin. He was able to easily win quite easily as he was already used to Tianheng's lightning but it was undeniable that he was strong. It was a pity for Haotian that there wasn't any talented female with the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon in this generation as it would be a good addition to his spirit.

Finally, the Classification Tournament became even easier for Heaven Dou Team. They were already not using all their members in the 7vs7 so, in this part 1vs1, it was mostly one of them barraging the full enemy team.

In the end, Heaven Dou Academy obtained the first position, Shrek was able to be second showing their great progress in the 1vs1 matches. The Thunderclap Academy was third, the Blazing Academy fourth and the Godwind Academy fifth.

About Haotian's relationships, they went pretty well.

Huo Wu's feeling for him had become stronger after their match over the Classification Tournament where Haotian accepted Huo Wu's challenge to fight without using their spirits, Huo Wu being completely overpowered by Haotian's monstrous physical strength.

Of course, Huo Wu's feelings weren't love. They were a strange mix of physical attraction, gratitude for being saved, anger at Haotian's playing with her and easily winning and more difficult ones that she couldn't even understand. All of it made that if Haotian decided to go for her in the future, he would find it easier, the foundation for it already being created.

From the other academies, the only one that was able to catch Haotian's eyes had been the captain of the Botanic Academy, Yao Zi. The Botanic Academy was an academy specialized in plant spirits where every one of their members was a control spirit master, making them quite weak in the 1vs1 and unable to rank in the top 5.

Yao Zi was a cute black-haired girl with bob hair and a serious face. As the captain, she was the strongest and most talented with a Red Flame Thorn as her spirit. It was a plant spirit with fire element that was quite strong, but it would fall short against Huo Wu's spirit

For this reason, Haotian only created a good impression with her, showing his strength, winning against the 7 of their team while avoiding injuring them and helping them after their defeat, showing his noble manners learned at the academy.

However, the most important one without any doubt had been Haotian's relation with Rongrong. After Shrek's fight against the Blue Sunshine Academy, Haotian and Rongrong had started spending a lot more time together, meeting every time that was possible between matches, their feelings for each other cementing further. It was a pity that both of them were very busy with the tournament, limiting their time together.

Haotian really liked Rongrong, she not only had one of the best spirits being on top of his list, but she was cute, irresistible to tease, funny, intelligent... Haotian really liked to spend his time with her. It might not be love, but he could feel her as a great friend if not for his circumstances to need her as a lover.

On the other hand, Rongrong was really falling deeper and deeper for him. Haotian was the perfect boy in her mind, he was incredibly handsome, strong and enjoyed her time with him, always keeping it merrily.

Also, Haotian had already been accepted by her friends of Shrek who were grateful for the information about the Blue Sunshine Academy, having avoided a possible disaster with it and her family and clan had already accepted him, being perfectly compatible to her if she became the clan head.

However, that wasn't the most important, when she saw the look in Haotian's eyes, she couldn't help to fall for him, he wasn't seeing her position, her clan and influence, Haotian saw only herself. Rongrong was sure that even if she ran away and left the clan, Haotian's behavior toward her wouldn't change at all.

The only problem for Rongrong were the girls next to Haotian. Haotian already had two girlfriends, Chenxiang and Meijing. Rongrong was already very close with Meijing, treating themselves as family, considering each other cousins, so she was well aware of how spectacular she was. "It went all pretty well for now. Now I need to prepare for the departure to Spirit City" Having finished the Classification Tournament, they had one free week until they leave for Spirit City. All the teams going together with imperial carriages that would take almost a month to arrive at Spirit City.

"I'll need to be wary of the travel and I need to see if there are some potential spirit at the Finals" Haotian thought about it "From Spirit Hall, I mostly know their team and I should work over Hu Liena. However, over Star Luo's side, I'm quite ignorant. There might be a good spirit. I know about the White Tiger and the Hell Civet, but they are only the imperial spirits and aren't the strongest ones so I might find better ones."

In Heaven Dou Empire, the imperial spirit was the Heavenly Swan, but the ones considered to be the strongest were the Clear Sky Hammer, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda and the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon.

At the Star Luo Empire, it was similar. The imperial family's White Tiger and Hell Civet weren't the strongest spirit, instead, the three strongest were considered to be the Star Crown, the Reflecting Mirror and the Dragonwolf.

Why the strongest spirits weren't the rulers? The reasons for that varied, from too few members, being the spirit incredible rare to different interests, finishing historically as they are now.

As he opened the door and saw the person in front of him, his face morphed with shock and curiosity.

"What are you doing here, Lingling?" Haotian asked confused. After what happened over the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Lingling had completely disappeared without any trace, not telling anyone, even Biyun, of her whereabouts, so it was strange to have her so suddenly knocking at his door.

"We were worried about you, thinking that something bad could have happened to you" Haotian explained. He had been certainly curious about her whereabouts and Biyun who considered Lingling as her only friend was getting impatient.

"Haotian, could I ask you a favor?" Lingling requested with her usual voice devoid of emotion while looking at him with her blank but beautiful eyes.

"It seems that time really didn't change you. You continue being too blunt. Ah!" Haotian sighed at Lingling's bluntness, completely disregarding his question and directly asking without giving any explanation.

"Okay" Haotian answered Lingling nodding at him. Haotian was already used to her antics, knowing that there was nothing to do as it wouldn't mind if he wanted more information about what happened this month, she wouldn't answer until her question is answered.

"Say what you ne-" Haotian was quickly shut up by Lingling throwing herself to him, causing Haotian to hurriedly open his arms, trying to catch her. However, there wasn't any need.

Lingling rested her hands over Haotian's chest and leaning her body towards him while tiptoeing her feet to reach his face.

"Mmm!" Haotian found himself completely shocked as his lips made contact with Lingling's, silencing him. Lingling's tongue entered his mouth, rolling it over his mouth with an almost mechanical movement without any sensuality.

After a second, Lingling put strength over her arms and pushed herself away from Haotian, finishing the sudden and awkward kiss.

Lingling licked her lips and looked at the ground thoughtfully before returning to look at Haotian's eyes "Thanks, Haotian" She bowed with perfect manners. Then turned around, completely ignoring Haotian who was flabbergasted from what happened.

"What the hell!? Lingling!" Haotian recovered and shouted bewildered, but it was too late, Lingling had already returned to her carriage that had been parked near, moving away.

Looking at the carriage leaving, Haotian made a strange "Really? What happens with this girl!?"

After the strange scene with Lingling, Haotian went to the dining hall that was mostly empty at that hour. He went to his usual table and sat down while waiting for his girls to come and have breakfast together like always.

The girls arrived in their usual order, Chenxiang being the first one, being followed by Meijing. It wasn't long before Yan also arrived, but somehow Biyun didn't arrive at her usual, seemingly being absent.

"Biyun is getting late. She might be busy today. We should start breakfasts without her" Haotian said without any worry. Due to their bond, he was able to sense the bonded girls so if anything dangerous happens to them, he would be able to detect it.

The girls nodded an everyone started eating .

"BANG!" As they were eating, the dining hall's doors opened with a loud sound. Biyun stood there, having been the culprit to open the doors.

Seeing her, Haotian frowned. Her face was red and her breath was somewhat erratic as she quickly ran towards Haotian's table.

"Yunyun, what happe-" "BIG BROTHER!" Biyun shouted desperately "You must save Lili!"
